@@sayitinswedish I was waiting for you to say it but didn't happen so thought I should mention it sense it's how I tend to express empathy in cases like that Otherwise I switch between 'Vad tråkigt att höra' and 'jag är ledsen att höra att du inte mår bra' to use as example sentences
@@animalind3738 Jag skulle nog säga förlåt om jag råkade stöta på någon och ursäkta om jag ville få komma förbi någon till exempel men inget av dem behövdes när jag var i Stockholm för gatorna var ganska tomma och dessutom väldigt breda, de hade plats för både fotgängare och träd
I belong to several Swedish genealogy groups, and most of my knowledge of the Swedish language is vocabulary related to genealogy. I’ve noticed that when someone shares a sad story about an ancestor, and I read through the replies (using the translation tool) there are often replies that say, “that’s so boring!” Which was confusing to me. Now I get it.
I don't really know why I, a Swede, keep watching your videos. Maybe because you're such a good teacher. :-) I could say "Jag är ledsen" both to show sympathy (especially in more dire situations) and to apologize. In the first case I could also use the longer phrase "Jag är (så) ledsen för din skull".
Could you possibly do a video on possessions? I'm currently learning Swedish but I'm getting confused on what dictates a word to be different in the sentence and what they mean. For example ive learned vår and vårt amd våra but I don't know what version of the word to use in a sentence or which ones means "our" and which means "ours" Or flickans and flickornas. Is one just "girls'" and the other is "the girl's"? I don't know.
I really fucked up with an American man who is trying to learn Swedish. I teased his accent when he memorized some Swedish phrases. I have some nerve! Anyway--Joakim-- you are awesome. I think "Förlåt mig" or "Jag är ledsen" or "Det var inte meningen" might be most appropriate. Swedish allophones are hard. I am resistant, but I was a jerk. I guess I need to eat crow, suck it up, do my best.
'Jag beklagar' is also a way to say 'I'm sorry for your loss' to express empathy
Good one!

Thank you!
Great knowledge on both words to know these two meanings on it's meaning(s). Very thoughtful posting to understand at speaking Swedish.

Vårt are used with ett words, vår with en words and våra with plural.
Flickans means the girl's and flickornas the girls'

Mycket informativ och användbar video!!! Det skulle också vara intressant att göra en video med uttryck som man använder när man är nöjd!
Har du något exempel?
