Love watching wildlife. You can tell the one on the right is young by his playful nature. Love all the ice footage.

That's a crunchy bitter cold winter in IL! You captured it beautifully. Will be fun to watch again on a 98 deg hot humid summer day too...! Very scary seeing you on ice that has flowing water underneath. 3:36 looks like a face looking up from the ice 😮

Howdy Baskets! Haven't seen anything from you in a while, hope all is well with y'all. I am getting ready to do a lash on the AT and thinking about taking Amtrak over there and remembered you have done that. What's your experience with them? Any trouble with trekking poles, pocket knife, fuel canisters or anything else I should think about? Would appreciate any info/advice. Thanks buddy.

Hey hey good to hear from ya
Enjoy the AT lash, that sounds like a ton of fun
Amtrak is good they don’t check any of those items, I’m not sure what their policy is and all that so I’d double check online to be 100 % sure
My suggestion also is to get the roomette if rates are decent
It allows you to lay down and get better sleep on the train, plus free food and drinks provided !
      Happy trails 👍👍👍

    hi ya Baskets !!
hope you don't mind me bugging you with some questions but I'm kind of working my way towards doing the Arizona trail and I haven't backpacked in dozens and dozens of years at least not any long-distance trails just you know distance I mean destination type packing and I thought for the first time rather than just using map and compass as I've done for 40 50 years or whatever it's been I would try one of these fancy apps like Gaia or all trails and I wondered which one do you use what do you think of guy and what do you think of all trails I've heard Gaia was sold to some other company and or something or actually it's got a new name now I don't know but just any information you can share as far as those type of apps I would appreciate it thanks in advance hope you guys are doing well and planning on getting out there and doing some spring backpack trips even if it's just a two or three nighter

      Enjoy the hiking : )

Guthook !!! That's the one with the new name!!!!! I new I wasn't getting it right. Lol. I wish that there was way more on line pro/con vidz. I hear a lot how good each one is but not a whole lot of in-depth why that particular one is chosen over the others more what is wrong with the others in comparison to that particular one that that person likes.
