As we always Faught under the British flag. That's why Gallipoli is Very near and dear to many Australians.

It's good to see the ANZACs getting Recognition for What they did there. But I also Respect the Turks for how they Faught as well. Both sides lost many good men. Many families are without loved ones.
2 Fun facts. 1) The ANZACs were ordered not to load their rifles when they landed on the Beach and were told to Bayonet charge the Enimes. 2) Gallipoli campaign saw the ANZACs Fighting under our own flag for the first time in the Wars. As we always Faught under the British flag. That's why Gallipoli is Very near and dear to many Australians.

And new Zealanders
It is pathetic for the British government to fool the Australian and New Zealand youths for their own purposes and bring them to fight this land, miles away from their homes.
I'm asking because I'm curios and want to know from an Aussie. Was the War of Gallipoli an deciding factor in Australia becoming independent? As far as I know, I might have read something like that somewhere, but I'm not sure.
