Happy to discover you guys. I have been going back and forth between the Travato KL or the Revel. Just watched 4 of your vids, I am 60 and my wife 68 . Your pros and cons are very helpful
Lynn, right after Juanita saw your storage idea for the bathroom door, we ran out to find one. Now all our bathroom stuff is hanging on the door. Big thanks for that one. We are in Hillsborough River SP and off to Oscar Scherer tomorrow. Will post something once we get home! Loved the video.
I love that storage space, it holds so much stuff. We got one night a Oscar Scherer (Sunday’s video) we loved it there. Can’t wait to see your video. Have a safe trip.
I love how you fixed the Revel up. It looks nice. Thank you for the tips and ideas. Nice privacy curtains. Great ideas for the curtains and the cute totes and the refrigerator. Now you have room for more food and if you want ice cream. Lol! 😊
@@thebarreralawfirmpllc4353 The smart-a$$ in me would say “:carefully”. 😂. But it’s easy. It’s a flat bungee available at Lowe’s or Walmart. The flat part of the bungee will slide better the edge of the over-cab shelf and the side of the van. The hook assembly on the bungee just keeps it from sliding through the gap. Adjust to the correct tension before you slide it in the gaps and that’s all there is too it.
Great information on this video . Like the idea of a bungee cord up front and making it as a dark shade to close before bed , that my favourite thing you did. I will definitely try this one. Thank you making this awesome video and sharing it with me. BS & BK
Hello Owen and Lynn. I feel terrible telling you to come home to NC because we have warnings of hail and tornadoes for March 18 th. Please be safe. I love your videos and your kind spirit.
Gotta say you guys are alway really innovative with ideas to improve comfort. That mirror comment at then end was hilarious. God bless you guys. We are sooooo looking forward to being able to go on 6-7 week trips when I (Kevin) retire in 3 years. Can’t come fast enough! Lol. Be safe and come back up to St. Augustine! Haha. Kevin
When your traveling it all about making things comfortable and easy. We are always thinking of ways to make it better. I’m sure we will return to St Augustine, it’s one of our favorites place. 3 years will be here before you know it.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle lol. St. Augustine is a great place “to visit” haha. I keep hearing 3 years will go by before I know it but man it feels like I’ve known it for a while already. How’s that? Lol. God bless you guys.

Yeah!!! What a gift...to see my friends midweek! Great ideas! I have been trying to pare down our stuff and be more efficient with storage this week, so this was very well timed for us. Thank you for these awesome ideas! Have a great week! So much love from SC...stay safe. Jane in SC❤️🙏🏻
It is good to pare down no matter where you are. One of goals at home is to de clutter and organize everything. I sometimes find if I have the space I will fill it. Thanks for watching. See you on Sunday.
What was in that net hanging from the ceiling over your head at the end of the video ? IMO, making your van a home away from home takes a while to discover what exactly needs to be changed to become comfortable. Love all your little changes ! Thanks for sharing.
The net came with the van, it’s just a place for extra storage, I put a tray in that area that I can use to take food and other things outside when we are cooking. I totally agree it takes time to figure out how to make things work best when you are traveling. Thanks so much for the comment.
Although I don’t own a Revel (yet) I always look forward to your Revel videos . Thanks for sharing what works for you guys . Lots of great ideas on RUclips! Be safe
You guys are doing so good with your Revel! Love watching you have fun. I can't wait to retire so we can go camping whenever the weather is nice rather than just the weekend.
Loved your mods. I am especially interested in the alpicool. Would like you to show exactly how that works inside that it can be a refrigerator and a freezer--at the same time?? Also would like to see where you plug it in. Really enjoy your RUclips!
I enjoy your site, especially your Alaskan and Florida travels. My wife and I would have a tough time with the Revel.; east west 49" wide bed, Sprinter van short term and long term maintenance costs and diesel DEF system troubles. I would seriously consider the EKKO due to a bit larger accommodations and The Ford gas Transit chassis.
All good points. In fact we may consider the 2nd anniversary version of the Ekko too. Right now we think we made the right choice for us, especially after hearing that delivery dates for the Ekko as slipping until as late as September. Lynn probably has enough patience for that but I am sure I don’t. But it sure looks like a great option.
Nice video...well done! May I ask how you are attaching the bungee cord to the sides of the van for your curtain? I have a Revel too and would like to do this. :)
We bought a flat adjustable bungee cord from Lowe’s. Feed through the curtain and then the flat end just slides in right beside the top shelf on the drivers side. Then adjust the bungee to be just right for tension and stretch it and slide it over the side of the top shelf on the passenger’s side. That’s it. The hooks actually keep if from sliding through. Has worked flawlessly. BTW, the hooks don’t hook into anything… they just serve as stops to keep if from sliding through.
What size are the boxes for your clothes in the overhead cab storage? And do you know the dimensions for that shelf? Rented a 2020 Revel and loved it. Want to use your idea for clothes for next time!
So glad you loved the Revel. The storage boxes are listed on our Amazon page in the “Inside” section, here’s a link to our page if you are interested www.amazon.com/shop/VanTrekkingLifestyle.
