Great video. If you’re planning to visit Alaska you might want to check out Wings and Wheels Alaska. They have a great video about some of the obstacles you may face on a journey up there, they also own a Winnebago Revel. Stay safe.
Heck yes for Rampart! My buddies and I used to go out camping there all the time in high school. Subscribed for future updates. This is the way to go about with "Vanlife" it's a tool to travel and Homebase to have while out and about. I'm saving up to put my self in a very similar situation.
I have a 2019 Revel and love it as well. I live in Florida and have been to Cali, Tx, De, Md & N.M. Plus all the states in between just getting there. My biggest fear has been the dreaded "12 starts" with the DEF issue that I read about. I haven't had an issue with this, but then again I just keep adding DEF after I've traveled a few days. Glad to hear you haven't had any issues. I travel without my husband and it's only me and the dogs so I get paranoid. One issue I've had is the sliding door decided to work sometimes and not work other times. I happen to be driving up to Md. when the door just stopped working and it was a big pain getting my dogs in and out the back door. After I got back I took it to Mercedes in Delray Beach to get it fixed. After 3 days they told me it was fixed and I drove it back home and parked it. A week later, I went out to the van to get something and the door wouldn't open again. Dang it!! Back to Mercedes I go. :(
THE DOOR SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY ISSUES! When you bring the Revel back, INQUIRE what was ACTUALLY happening that caused it to FAIL..............Make sure it was not user caused!
Dang really one year already haha I remember that video when you were up in Colorado. That place looked some peaceful. Other than so talon have fun and stay safe out on the road keep them videos coming. Dink! 🍻🤘
re: the bed 1) Can it be slept on , set at any height ? 2) Can it be raised and lowered while laying on it ? 3) Can it be set at a sleeping height , where a bicycle can still be stored upright underneath the bed ?
I got a question for you, would you ever consider making room in your van for your motorcycle? Not a trailer for the outside but, actually bringing it inside with you.
I would have asked about the handling of the Sprinter. Seems to have a high center of gravity. How does that affect turning, stability, and driving in high wind conditions?>
What is your opinion on installing stronger leafsprings in the rear & a small lift kit and most important of all an outside snorkel air intake on the driver side?
How reliable is the AC? If you were traveling with a dog, could you leave him inside the van with the AC running while you were out for an hour or two?
Nothing about the lack of AC? Is it just not an issue where you have been? I know the Van has AC, but not when your parked in front of walmart or in the wilderness.
So the water tanks are glycol heated, but what about the water lines? Do they have any issues freezing or do they drain well enough or have insulation? Seen all the winterizing stuff, but if it is a 4 season van seems like the lines should work in the cold, yes??Great content 👍
No regrets. I considered the latter but it would have cost me a lot more time and money that I didn’t have to get even close to the functionality of the revel
New guy checking in. I dig your channel bud. Subbed. In the middle of building my 2019 170 ext 4x4 sprinter. I have to disagree on one point. I think I will save thousands, likely 10s of thousands doing my build myself. I got a quote of 60 to 80k for my build. So I'm doing it myself. We will be living 100% full time, so that includes 600ah of batteries and all the goodies, shower, composting toilet, etc etc etc. I've not gone the cheap route on anything. We will be in AK during the winter, so needless to say it's 4 season capable. When all is said and done, price of the brand new van included, I'll be about 110-120k into the build. Labor costs are outrageous, but any tradesman worth their salt SHOULD charge a good amount. I figured if I can fix helicopters, and have a bit of a construction background, I can build a badass van. But, it beats the hell out of paying 80k for a build.......
@@jacobs.9230 Smart thing to do would be to just bring some kind of collapsable tub, detergent, and a clothesline and just do laundry at campsites. I wouldnt count on laundromats being open with the way things are right now.
Peeping those patches on the table. Hopefully I can get one, someday. Glad the van is living up to expectations!
I know I’m new here but I really do love your vlogs homie
Thanks man, appreciate it! 🤙🏻
Talon, just wanted to say that I love watching your videos. Keep it up.
Sold my westy and pick up my Revel tomorrow. Looking forward to making new memories. My westy gave me many

Really a treat to color the van in between shot ranges Can’t believe been a year!

new front end looks good!
This is very informative. Thank you for making my life easy- I’m test driving the 2020.
OWL van now installs lithium add on inside under the front seat of 800 AMPS to the Revel 250 AMPS, BASICALLY UNLIMITED use of everything:)
great content on the warm up lap. your trip is giving me ideas on a trip i want to do in a few years when i get my truck done
Very informative and thank you for the updates, I look forward to future episodes.
FUCK YEA SATvan gotta love it!! All the adventures you’ve had in and with this van has made me want one of my own!!!
Super glad to hear that Talon's taco tour is going well! :-)

Thank you. Very informative. I want one!!!!!

Thanks Zach, that was an awesome place 🤙🏻
Any more than 2-people would definitely be tight but you could tow a teardrop trailer for expandability

Yes, no and yes
Nice review
18:09 *casually* my friend Pete just asked...fly the flad 🏴☠️
As always, great vid, Talon!
Thanks for watching!
Want one of those patches ! No doubt lol great video man.
Revel on Talon!
I think you should do a series on cooking on the road!
Damn that beard game!!!!
15mpg is pretty good for a vehicle the size of a small shipping container.
Do you have a tire pressure monitor system? Do you have a spare tire?
What a wonderfully groomed beard you have.
So what are you going when it's you and van VS Sasquatch? When your out there
whats the thing on the back of your phone case? Stand?
Mods... yes please
I got a question for you, would you ever consider making room in your van for your motorcycle? Not a trailer for the outside but, actually bringing it inside with you.
Not for the bike I have currently but I have thought about it

What do you think about the 170 WB van? Pros / Cons for what you are doing..
Thank you!

I want that green jacket look kool man 🤟

The lines are heated by the air inside. I’ve been in sub freezing temps for extended amounts of time with no issues thus far
Could you share the site or where you saw the leaks of the new layout for the upcoming revel please
Is there a DPF Delete?
Are there any regrets to buying the Revel? Did you ever consider buying a 4x4 Sprinter and doing your own mods?
No regrets. I considered the latter but it would have cost me a lot more time and money that I didn’t have to get even close to the functionality of the revel
#dopestvloginthegame #allblackeverything
how often you have to dump your toilet tank?
it would be great if you answer me this question i am so interested to know where you bought your van
Dude, how do you sleep in the van when it’s 100 degrees outside?
I turn my AC on
Why is the check engine light on?
It’s always on when the motor isn’t running
👍
what is that blue tooth speaker you use?
An old Sony srs. Best sounding speaker around if you can still find ‘em
My question wasn't answered yet lol
Do you feel the sat van to be top heavy with the smaller tires on it? More so when its windy on the road?
Hey, what part of Kansas? Was you on I 70 the whole way?
What kind of insurance did you get for the van? Was it insurance for an RV since this is considered a Class B or regular auto insurance??
RV insurance
Do they make the van in larger size?
So what patches are on that table
So it's not an stealth van ok time to compition time
How do you do your laundry sir?

How is it offroading?
Awesome video, thank you. Check out : Cavan/Canyon Adventure Vans GLSS garage lounge storage system.
Random, but where’s Ashley? Did you two break up?
Are you planing to travel South America and overseas!
I think next July he's driving it across the Pacific. Gonna be a hell of a vlog series.
Do you wish it was longer?
No I would hate that haha I can still drive this in cities easily and park in normal parking spots
You have such a beautiful nose. ♡
what are you doing for washing your clothes?
I had enough clothing to get me through the warm up lap
@@TalonSei what are you going to do to wash them when laundromats are closing after the warm up lap?

Where did you get your memory foam topper from??
Walmart and then cut it to fit perfectly with the mattress. You can start with a queen size and trim it to the dimensions.
Pooping? Gotta ask because yeah that's still a thing when you live in a truck.
The main question I have is how do you afford to live in a van?
van mods
Can you shower in the van :?
John West yup
