Hi Roger, thank you so much for such a lovely comment. Thank you for checking in also. We would love to hear from you at least a check in since we know what you are going through. We hope you feel better soon.
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska Oh no, no, no.. we're not covid positive. We don't travel due to Covid ... On top of that (Jersey style of talk)-- should have said "On top adat".. lol ... She doesn't wanna go anywhere... and it's not like we can just pack up and go.. we have 3 properties here that are not being rented due to the virus. Yeah.. to rent them out to any tom, dick and harry we need to Covid clean / the entire house / houses .. not only that.. It has to be state approved prior to to the renters taking residency or we'll be held liable. (as our attorney says) So now I'm just sitting here watching (with envy) "Wings and Wheels" living your lives.
Fun to see how you have made changes over the last 18 months. I love the flexibility the Revel offers to everyone. So many different approaches. We need space for bikes and skis in the garage, and we completely maximize the headliner storage. The protective coat on the outside looks great. I like the window pillows-I may need to give some thought to those. So lovely to see all the snow. Travel safe. Cheers.
get add on's and you two have your act together. so organized and what an incredible life you are living. I just love Amber. What a sweetheart Keep on trucking Sheila
Thank you Sheila! We have to stay organized or we lose our minds trying to find stuff. We don't fight often but when we do it tends to be over "misplaced" items. 😂. Ember is really an amazing companion and puts up with us. Thank you for your support. See you again soon. xo
Oh my goodness !!!!!!! Just got to ❤️ Ember !!!!! The mods look great and so do the two of you !!! Thank you for this video... blessings and stay safe & warm. Can hardly believe its been 18 months already :) as always, Deb.....
Hi Deb! Certainly making it "our own". Isn't it funny how no matter what we do Ember is always just sitting around chilling and being lovely. She's the best dog...ever. And you're so kind for showing show much love and support for us. And....Covid time has been so weird for me. This past year has felt like 20 years. The past few months has felt like 80 years. 😂😂😂😂. We were sitting there like "Can you believe it's that time already???" No. I can't. 😊. See ya again soon dear. xoxo
Cynthia and Jim I am loving going on this adventure with you. You give me so much calmness watching. I am in quarantine and I enjoy the feel from your adventures ..You both are super people.
Hi guys. The rig looks all the better. I forgot about the lounge area. Love that. Love the Waran winch. The bumpers. The lighting too. Having the side of the rig done up with protection was a great idea. Looks really good as well. Glad you folks are doing well. Stay safe. Stay warm. :)
Great updates The varn winch, and those lights are awesome. Aso the front grill guard is a great idea because of the wildlife. Stay safe, see you on your next video.
As a new fan of the channel I Love watching videos on the upgrades to the vehicle and I was not disappointed. Already being a fan of the Revel in general, when I saw the GLS upgrade in the garage area underneath the bed, I was immediately blown away. I had no idea they made an additional upgrade like this for that section of the van. What a fantastic idea! Because your dog is now utilizing the original sitting area behind the cab, the Revel desperately needed another sitting/ lounge area and by adding that GLS upgrade your able to have a large sitting area perfect for dinning, computer work, and of course relaxing. If I had never watched this video I would have never known about that so thank you so much for sharing.
Hey guys. Thx for the shoutout, you are certainly organized, that GLSS is very cool, it creates so much extra storage and makes a useful space. Safe travels, stay warm
It looks so cold guys. What a fantastic set up with the Winnebago. Just came across your channel, & it’s fantastic. I live in the tropics of Australia so shorts, & palm trees all yr round, & never ever seen snow. I’m looking forward to watching your previous videos guys 👍
Thank you guys. We're very happy with how it turned out. After a ton of research we found it to be more durable than a wrap. Thanks for your love and support! See ya soon!
Tom - You know, daring to say we look even younger after one of us celebrated a birthday is a great way to earn some brownie points 😂 The van looks and functions beautifully, it's been worth the frustrations for sure. We're on the mend as well and getting out more after being sick for awhile. Thank you for the beautiful compliment and making my day. 😁. Have a wonderful week.
I’m back watching for a second time! I can’t get enough of y’all & my girl, Ember! Just love her! ❤️Great job showing the updates to the van! Hope y’all are having a great week! See you on Sunday! Much love from us in Florida! Kiss the puppy for me! ~ Kim & Mike
Thank you for watching again Kim. This one was fun to make and Sunday we will show what went into making it, although, we didn't really make this, it sort of made itself. 😂😂. You'll see. ❤️. Sending warm Alaska hugs right back to you guys. xoxo
Greetings from "The Netherlands". Thanks for sharing your video's. Love the "VAN" you have, to bad it is not for sale here in Europe. For now i watch and use your video's to start soon with my own van based on your revel. Hope to see a lot more of your video's and stay safe.
For the toilet paper we use a holder we had on our boat. $60 Oceanair Marine Dryroll. Keeps the paper dry and pulls the end of the roll in when you close it. Hope that helps. We added Clearplex to our windshield anticipating rock dings. No idea if it works but we shall see. I hate a cracked windshield. Next March we have a date to have a front winch installed on our Promaster so I would really enjoy watching you use yours to save me some grief..! Keep on keeping on. Cheers.
Hi Michael. I'll certainly look up that TP roll. It's one of those things that "just is" for now. 😂. We forgot mention Safelite came to us to replace the big rock smash on our front window. That was the easiest thing we've had to do recently. Getting actual work or parts on any type of RV these days is a struggle and we're waiting to say anything about that until the experience is over, but we have to tell ya, we are happy with one of these products so far, but not the experience having it installed. I'd be curious to know what the "normal" turn around time is for having a bumper put on is. We were told two days, it took over three weeks. We had to ask for it back because its still not technically complete and the van back in the shop again today. It's the only place in Alaska that works on Sprinters so.......it's a fine line we're walking with making any complaints. What do you think? Does three weeks for an incomplete installation seem a little excessive? Jim will absolutely be doing a video on his learning process on the winch. He's still learning how to use it. All that aside. We are really happy and the experience seems like a first world problem these days. Thanks for coming back! See ya again soon.
Cynthia, I am 110% in agreement with you as to turning the orientation of a front lounge so it looks out the door. I am still looking at a Transit build but I know that it will be important for me to have the lounge up looking out the door.
I'm hoping we can turn it around and still allow room for the seat to swivel and have our new batteries placed under that bench. 😁. It's one of the reasons we got the van, those views! We took a look at the new EKKO video and taking away those back doors is like taking away a million dollar view in my opinion. They have yet to build the Perfect class B but I'll have fun dreaming one up. Thanks for being here with us. Have a great week!
@@cigarmann those look really nice. Don’t see much on pricing but a lot of options. Curious about how comfortable the bed is. That was one of the drawbacks for the galleria was we just didn’t find the bed comfortable and then having to set it up each day and take it down. Pretty nice setups though from what they offer :)
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska from what I can see he will custom build anything you want. My thought would be to add flares to the transit and put a permanent bed across. I'm going to guess that he's cheaper than Winnebago but may not have all the nice things built in
@@cigarmann keep us updated on that. We would be interested to hear how that goes and if you want to bounce ideas off us on the build we would be all ears. I think the other thing you might want to look at is if he can move the toilet from the back closer to the front so you have access to your backdoors. Hard to tell but looks like the travato bathroom setup back there. I am sure there are different configurations we just didnt see many options on the floorplans on the site we looked at. pretty awesome you can pick size and model of van you want also.
Good morning from Mr Bill. Love the van upgrades. I think your Armor coating looks great. Now whoever is behind the wheel can truly say, I can see clearly now, whether going forward or in reverse. Like mentioned in the comments, a lift would be great. Jim didn't look so cold, Cynthia was freezing and Ember was ready for the birds. As always I love the video and looking forward to the next video. Please stay happy, healthy and safe. Mr Bill sends out virtual hugs and ❤ to y'all. We are actually going to have on Tuesday cooler day. High of 48 and low of 28. Looking forward to seeing all the people in artic outfits.
Happy Monday Mr. Bill! We're glad you're enjoying the upgrades. We're only about 1/4 of the way complete and that's okay, we're having fun along the way. The lift is part of it, and it's a good one! Shipping is an issue, and finding anyone in Alaska to do quality work is the other issue. Jim wants to trust in a company who's never done a Sprinter lift before and I would like to wait until we can leave the State. However, it will allow us to go even further into the woods! Have a wonderful week, enjoy those cooler temperatures and we will see you again on Sunday. Sending you big warm hugs. xoxo
I would like to express my appreciation for you both again. This was a lot of fun to watch. Those crows seems to follow you everywhere and you find beauty in everything, even traffic jams. Keep it up 👍
JIM YOU LOOK LIKE A MOVIE STAR..BUT EMBER ALWAYS STEALS THE SHOW!🤣CYNTHIA SHE LOOKS GOOD AND SOUNDS GOOD !18 MONTH REVIEW!!👍LOVE ONE OF THESE!❤I LOVE YOU GUYS! YOU DID GOOD KIDS!
Ooohh okay Miles, I know who your favorites are. That's okay, I won't hold it against you. Ember certainly steals the show without even trying and Jim? Well he needs a damn haircut. Always fun to hear from you hun, thanks for poking at us and showing your love. 😘. ❤️
We're looking forward to knowing were we will be too Pat! 😁. Certainly made it uniquely ours. There's about 5 other Revels up here in Alaska now. I've received a few texts. "Hey I was just waiving at you guys! Why are you in Palmer????" Well....that's not us....😂. Thanks for being here with us. xoxo
The snow has been so peaceful and quiet. Glad you like the upgrades. They certainly give us peace of mind and make the van more uniquely ours. Hope all is well down there for you guys. Sending you big warm snowy hugs from Alaska. See you again soon . xoxo
That's awesome Marian. We strongly believe it doesn't matter much what you're in to get out, just get out. You've got this! Thanks for watching, it's been a ton of fun. xo
Hi Brad. We carefully thought out each one and had some inspiration from our Revel group from the beginning. A lot of our decision process was based on working with the companies themselves. In August of 2019 I sent Backwoods a message about my shipping concerns and they responded immediately. Overland Gear Guy uses suggestions from other Revelers and comes up with some great stuff. GLSS, we forgot to mention the weight of the table. (The original one is heavy) highly recommend the bamboo. As for boxes on the back like others are doing...we're holding off on those. Since we're in the middle of the entire process there will of course be an update when it's all said and done. We had to drop the van off again today. Fingers crossed it's done in two days and not three weeks. Keep us posted! xo
Hi Jim and Cynthia! I really love the upgrades. It’s really nice! It’s like she’s new again. I love the window blinds you need them when the sun comes out and it’s bright. I love it inside and out. They did a great job! Thank you both for the tour of the revel. Hope you are keeping warm it looks cold in Alaska. Stay safe. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Looking forward to more videos now that the Revel is back. Safe travels. See you both soon! Have a great week. Say hello to Ember and glad she has a bed she’s looks comfortable in it.
It does feel new again. And yes, Those little pin holes in the shades drive me insane when it's 24 hour light up here. Good point! So happy you enjoyed this. We return to normal programming on Sunday. 😉. See ya soon dear. xoxo
Only 30k miles. Where did my van went lol. I had my van for only 9 months. Well I guess went to east coast twice and finally end up in Alaska. We're stuck here as well till our property get sold. But I told my wife to keep an eye on a gray revel so we can wave at you guys... even now that I'm back in the area. I still enjoyed watching your channel.
Hi Bladimeer, We are glad you stopped in to say hi! If you ever see us around don't hesitate to come say hi to us we love chatting with people :). We are glad that you are part of the journey!
The van looks BAD ASS!!! Cynthia, love your sweater & boots :) You are inspiring me to pull mine out :) Great video, nice upgrades :) Thank you for sharing :)
We were thinking about it but we didn't want to make the video too long by repeating stuff from other videos. We love the Havelock wool and actually have added some in a few more places this fall. That will possibly be included in the next mod / upgrade one at 24 months :)
That is awesome Billy! I think the Ford chassis would be a ton easier for maintenance. We are very limited on where we can get maintenance done. We do love the sprinter though. Have you already started your build?
Another great video! The Amour Coating looks FANTASTIC. Great addition. Did you also have custom rugs made too? Cynthia, your State should hire you to be their Spokesperson to come visit Alaska!
That's really kind of you Jordan. The rugs are a $11.90 carpet remnant I picked up from Lowes and cut to be able to pull out and brush off. We thought we'd take our shoes off and on but that doesn't happen. The carpet works great in the winter. Thanks for stopping in! xo
I really like the looks of the armor coating. Special looks good with the new bumpers. Now when you get the new lift, you’ll really be ready for some off-road adventures.
Hi Terry. Thank you! We've been using the lights the past few days during the storms and I'm not sure how we drove without them. Thank you for your love and support. It means the world to us. Oh, and we weren't sure about the Arma coating at first. We were very very nervous. Jim left that part out, but we were sweating it for three days while they were doing it. I'm sure he'll bring that up later. It's one of those "There's no turning back" moments. Have a great week! 😁
This was so much fun to watch! You two/three were in top notch synchronicity! Bravo! Like i said over on FB (sorry Cynthia), Ember is obviously The Queen 👑! She now has her own space!!!! ❤️ ♥️ ❤️
Great job you guys. thanks For sharing all of your mods, now I'm really jealous of that wench and those lights, bet that is so nice in the dark Alaskan nights. I' doing some traveling outside of Alaska right now so have my van in storage, but looking forward to using it again this spring. I lived in my van for a month last summer.
Hi Shane. Yes, as you know these dark days need these lights for Sure. It's been the most useful upgrade. The bumper came in handy recently to pull a little car out that was stuck. (We will show that on Sunday) You're missing the best part, all this SNOW. 😊. Have fun on your travels and stay safe. maybe we can meet up in Spring and say Hi. xo
Hi Chad. We will be showing what happened on the road this coming Sunday. Nobody was hurt for sure. We're glad you enjoyed the tour. Thanks for stopping in. xoxo
Hellooo! One of the things we always hated was when we would leave a comment and feel ignored. We would just stop leaving comments. We kind of obsess over answering questions and letting people know we do listen to them :). Sometimes we fall behind but then we work just a tad harder to get caught back up. Thank you for watching and following along our journey!
Thanks for the tour. Glad to see a lot of these Winnebago Revels are being bought! I probably could only afford a use one down the road. I overland/camp in a old 2006 Tundra 4x4 stick shift. Someday I’ll treat myself to “standing up” in a van. So jealous of your van. 🍻😂🤙
Just set your goal and work towards it. Yes it takes time and doing it but by bit makes it easier to swallow. You still get to enjoy the travel so why rush into anything. We still enjoy seeing all the new creative builds out there!
Man. The snow! Love all the changes and you three. Like I said before... you guys sure cost us a lot of money. 😂👍. Bumper might be my favorite thing you added.
The snow got even better!!! You'll see that part of all of it next week. The bumper was a process. I'm not sure Jim talked to you about it but ... whew. I sent out feelers back in August 2019 and Backwoods was amazing to work with when it came to at least trying to find shipping to Alaska and a place to install it. Having it done here was not ideal for sure and we will tell ya all about that. The lights though?!?! You guys! I have no idea how we drove for so long last winter without them, without dying, or hitting a moose and halfway dying. My FAVORITE thing? Seriously, that back door quilt. I can't tell you how many times Jim opened that back door while I was sleeping and he almost got kicked in the chin. 😁. Love ya guys. Glad the Revel is working for you. xoxo
Does your van have front and rear lockers? If not, it's probably one of the best "off roading" "peace of mind" up grades you can do to keep you from getting stuck. Some even come with accessory air pumps that activate your lockers and allow you to air your tires up and down at will for better traction off road and better fuel mileage on road... Not to mention it's one of those upgrades that when you decide to sell your van, you'll recoup most of your investment back and will make your rig more enticing to a buyer than one without front and rear lockers. Enjoy your travels!
Awesome mods...the armor lining will definitely be nice :). Great winch...now you can go crazy lol. Really though it adds to the peace of mind of knowing you can get yourself out of a place if you get stuck. Just don’t try to climb a cliff with it...get a stronger one for that :D One can never have enough lighting lol. JIm: it’s ok to have a few more clothes lol :). Nice you finally got rid of the window rattle . My the wind be at your back and the seas calm. Live confidently and peacefully
I forgot to add: I have close to the same scraper..bought it a few years ago from auto-zone , It’s wonderful makes it so easy to clear off snow. Also a tidbit of information: don’t fart on the face of a purple dog. lol
Hi John. It's interesting how the winch gives us extra peace of mind. We were in the storm thinking. "Hmm. I hope none of these people need this, and if they do, hopefully all those tutorial videos Jim's watched will cut it.". 😂. The lights though? I don't know how we thought the stock lights were "adequate". We'll show the road conditions next weekend, but we were happy to find a spot on the side of the road to call it quits that night. The storm got ugly. Thanks for being here with us! Have a wonderful week.
Thank you Denis. We really appreciate hearing this. 😁. We will do another full upgrade/update video when we hit our 2 year mark which is coming up faster than we imagined. Dang. Where has the time gone? Thanks for being here with us.
I have exact same Revel -same color scheme, and also have 30K miles on mine. No cool mods like you guys have. My dog and I have been everywhere between Jasper BC to Mexico. While we live in NW we mostly use the van to go to SW US and frequent areas like Moab, UT ; Santa Fe, NM; Sedona AZ; Tucson, AZ, and even Mexico. I often haul my motorbike on a small trailer and since we’re in hot places with a dog I have equipped our trailer to carry generator boxes with two Honda generators. I know you guys don’t have to worry about the heat in Alaska but the AC does come in handy in the SW and solar doesn’t keep up! Anyway good to see a fellow Reveler- once you get out of Covid purgatory and are able to come down to the lower 48 we”ll have to compare rigs!
Yes! We're only putting on what we need for now, but by the time we head south we should have the rest of our upgrades complete to make it "worldly".. Please please keep in touch so we can meet up when we're out of all of this!! xo
Thanks for this video. I'd never heard of the GLSS which is an interesting concept. It kind of solves the problem of the small-looking front dinette area. Love the rock guard and the way you did it! It looks cool on the windows. Just an idea - since the dog's bed is permanent, you could add a hanging soft storage bag on the wall above the dog bed to put the window coverings in. We found the memory foam difficult to heat up with our bodies, and switched to regular upholstery foam. (But we let it get fairly cold in our van while sleeping ... it's probably hot by Alaska standards)
HI Average Alice! Thank you! We agree, that area above Ember's bed is prime real estate for something good and the GLSS is a great addition because we rarely, if ever, use that front table. It makes Ember uncomfortable when it's up and it sits at a weird height. We haven't made any changes to it because that bench seat won't be seated that exact same way for much longer. 😁. Interesting that memory foam is difficult to heat up, that would explain why when we bring the bed down it takes awhile to warm up but I'm such a hot sleeper, I don't think I've ever been cold in that bed, especially since my Gorilla Jim. Thanks for watching! Our two-year review is coming up and we hope to make it all inclusive. Our "monthly" reviews are more of an update". It's our yearly review's where we try get into more specifics, and we've gained a lot of experience so we have a lot to share in this next one.
Haven’t watched yet but will... just wanted to tell you it looks AWESOME! We’re heading to IKEA for some bamboo for tables. We’ll watch tonight and drool. Your friendship sure is costing me a lot of money! 😂
Love love the upgrades...... especially the lights...... so you think a winch for this single gal is important in planning the specs in my sprinter... Thankyou so much for your honest insight of everything... ❤️
Hi Jo. I specifically saved this comment to answer for you (Cynthia) personally, I think of the situation all the time...what would I have if I was doing this alone. The answer is no. I wouldn't have the winch. I love the lights, I would need/want those. But the winch is all Jim. But that's just me, i have no desire to winch myself solo into any random areas. It's more for that than getting "unstuck"....it's a boy toy in my humble opinion. Thanks for watching. - Cyn

Thank you for this video and the others I started to watch and I love them. I am looking forward to seeing more, and your dog.... I am hooked! I just lost my Jack Russell terrier this year and I am getting my dog fix through her.
Hi Doug. ~ We're sorry to hear you lost your Jack Russell. They really are our family and Jack's are so darn smart. Ember has such a unique personality we're glad you can stop in and enjoy her. We understand the need for that fix. Thank for joining us!
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska Our dog’s name was Valentine. Originally a Valentine gift for my daughter twelve years ago. When she left the states six years ago I happily was taken possession by him.
Awesome video full of fantastic upgrades! The Rhino Lining on the sides reminds me of desert vehicles, due to “Arizona Pinstripes”. Looking forward to seeing you get some use out of that winch as it gets you into some more rugged locations. The lights are a great addition and ought to serve you well. We’d discussed amber lights being added (or snap on amber lenses) before. Have you thought more about that? Looking forward to seeing the new drone in action! You two put together great videos! Keep up the great work!
This one was fun. Next week you'll see how it all unfolded and why we were sitting in the middle of the road and woke up on the side of the road the following day. 😂. About the winch. Honestly, it was our second day with it and we were about 150 miles away from civilization when we hit that storm. All those cars had been sitting there with us for a long long long time. I don't even know if we mention this when we're talking for our next video but Jim was thinking "I hope all those tutorials I've taken on using the winch come in handy if we or anyone else needs this!" We have to do some serious playing with it. It did give me an extra sense of security even if it might be a false one. What I do love is the lights. As you noticed the stock ones are crap but we didn't know how crappy crap was until we experienced these. Wow. I'm always telling Jim to turn them on. It's like I feel obligated to say it every hour. "Hey baby, turn on the lights, it's kinda dark, I can't see". "You're not driving". "So, I still wanna see". "See what". "Stuff". "No". "Please?" "No". I'm really really thrilled with the lights and being able to see during our short winter days. We played with the drone yesterday. It has a very AI feel to it. After Jim crashed his good Mavic drone we've been using the mavic mini and haven't been able to capture the follow shots like we used to. We're excited to have it follow us on hikes or walks. We attempted a hike yesterday....we made it about a mile and got short of breath. Baby steps to getting back up on our feet. Hope you're well and Oh, Cheers I still have half a bottle of Woodford left to sip on until Christmas. It might only be noon but hey.....2020. Talk to you soon. xoxo
Your Revel 4 x 4, a great camper. Too bad, there is not in Europe to buy. For my planned trip, across the USA and Alaska, a really good alternative. Absolutely good ideas you have realized. I will copy some of them. - Thank you - Greetings from Frankfurt, stay healthy and I wish you and your family, a happy new year 2021.
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska Yes, it's my planning. I am in the Internet of your channel. I smile very often. So nice videos. Your dog, smile, better your kid, is so funny. Yes and have a nice first day in the year.
Cool setup. I have an older Roadtrek with a generator for the air conditioning, which the Revel lacks. But I am in goldie-locks weather here in San Diego. Maybe someday cash out the house and get something like yours....
If you're going to be stuck in a traffic jam during a blizzard, you may as well be stuck in a Winnebago. Love the front bumber but fixed ladders make me paranoid that any drunk can climb on to your roof during the middle of the night. Will the bed go down if someone is sitting underneath?
Hi Bill, Yes if you push the button the bed will go down. We aren't too worried about someone climbing on the van in the places we like to be :). Well I guess if an animal climbs up it that could be an issue. With the stock ladder on the back that we used to have you would still pose the same risk I guess. Hope you are doing well!
Hi Rachel, it is really really nice not to have to tear down the bed and put it back each day. We just push the button and it’s outta the way. Stay safe!
Would it be possible to Armour coat the entire vehicle - prevent premature rust (from scratches etc. that may cut through the paint) - also how much did it cost to do what you did. Thanks and Cheers. Great videos by the way ...
Yes, we actually had considered doing just that but decided to wait to do more than we did. We sort of compromised because we do like the decals and those areas have not accumulated any damage. In the future we may end up doing the rest 🤣. The parts we did ran us $1200. They prefer you to do as much at one time as you are willing to do so you don’t keep going back and forth to add more (well the shop we went to). Each setup and tape increases the labor increasing the cost. Hope you are doing well.
Enjoy your travels and upgrades! As you travel around the state are you planning to go to Kodiaik Island, I know it’s expensive ferry ride but I would be interested in seeing trips like that, maybe when it gets warmer. Stay safe and warm.
Absolutely amazing van. I love all your videos, they are amazing and fun. It is a wonderful trip to have a good van, to be able to come and enjoy a very beautiful view landscape from the other side of earth. Oh hi I am Dwi from Bali island, Indonesia. I really enjoy your videos. Anyway, thanks for sharing the stories and videos about the beauty of Alaska. In Indonesia, the weather is tropical, only dry and rainy, so I can't enjoy snow yet. May you all be healthy and in God's protection. Greetings to Amber.. She's cute and calm.. Thank You so much. Have a Good Time
The insulated rear partition we use is from thisvanlife.net . The partition Installs with magnets making it really quick to put up and take down. It has worked really really well for us. The ladder is from Backwoods Adventure mods :). Happy Holidays!
Another great video! Your rig look reinvigorated! I think you forgot to go into detail about the rear door insulating curtain which we are very interested in :-) Enjoy your upgrades !Looking forward to you next video! Happy Holidays!
Thank you so much Perez. We had shown that in a previous walkthrough video which is why we ended up cutting that scene out so this wouldn’t run too long. We really love that partition and we use it year round. In the winter for the insulation, summer to block the sunlight. We got it from thisvanlife.net. When we first purchased it we thought it was expensive but we have gotten so much use out of it that it has been worth every penny.
I just watched your video. Thanks for all of the information. You explained everything about the GLSS but I see that there was also an attached table there. Is it included in the GLSS and can it be raised?
Hi John, we have never carried leveling blocks. We get as level as possible, sometimes we use rocks, and sometimes a spot just isn’t the right fit for us. We boondock constantly and it has always worked out one way or the other 🤣
Hi Daniel we paid nothing near that amount for our rig. You are looking at 2021 list prices. If you haven’t seen us before I understand the confusion. 😉

Yeah.. to rent them out to any tom, dick and harry we need to Covid clean / the entire house / houses .. not only that.. It has to be state approved prior to to the renters taking residency or we'll be held liable.

So now I'm just sitting here watching (with envy) "Wings and Wheels" living your lives.
@@rogerstillwater6800 ohhhhh that is good news 😂. Gotta love miscommunication :). Rentals are a pain for sure during this time. Have a great evening!
Very cool . Just bought one can’t pick it up until they complete a recall. I’m liking your upgrades. You seem like the kind of people we party with.
Congratulations on your purchase! We definitely enjoy a good party now and then.
Cheers.
Hi Sandra - The Revel is the ultimate Transformer for sure! Thanks for stopping in to say Hi!. 😁
Love how you creatively used Armour bedliner. That is great and can see how it would help with all the dirt roads.
It really changed up the look. We see old pictures of it now and think "huh, that looks boring" 😁
get add on's and you two have your act together. so organized and what an incredible life you are living. I just love Amber. What a sweetheart
Keep on trucking
Sheila
I love Amber too❤️She’s a trooper!
Thank you Kathleen. Knowing this is heartwarming. Thank you, have a blessed day. xoxo
Hi guys.
The rig looks all the better. I forgot about the lounge area. Love that.
Love the Waran winch. The bumpers. The lighting too.
Having the side of the rig done up with protection was a great idea.
Looks really good as well.
Glad you folks are doing well. Stay safe. Stay warm. :)
Hi BC. Thank you! We're about 1/4 of the way done with making it uniquely ours. It's given me peace of mind for sure. Have a wonderful week!
It’s good to see you both back on the road again. I hope that your having fun and staying safe.
ThAnk you Toni. We appreciate you stopping in and saying hello. We are so happy to be back at it finally. Stay safe and happy holidays!
Great work on your Rebel. All those Mods will help up in your area. Looking forward to more of your adventures.
Yes! Certainly needed on our roads. Thanks for watching William. 😁
Great updates The varn winch, and those lights are awesome. Aso the front grill guard is a great idea because of the wildlife. Stay safe, see you on your next video.
Thanks Chris! Glad you enjoyed it! See you again soon.
The GLSS was really a game changer for us when it came to comfort and storage for sure. Definitely one of our top 2 upgrades so far.
Hey guys. Thx for the shoutout, you are certainly organized, that GLSS is very cool, it creates so much extra storage and makes a useful space.
Safe travels, stay warm
We love your products Rob and always look forward to your new solutions! You guys create such good quality products it is easy to love them :)

We are glad you are along with us on these adventures. Stay safe and cool :)
Great video! Particularly intrigued by the Bedliner protection for key parts affected by rocks, what a great idea.
Thank you guys. We're very happy with how it turned out. After a ton of research we found it to be more durable than a wrap. Thanks for your love and support! See ya soon!
Once again, stunning views of Alaska. Your rig is looking great but more importantly, you 3 are looking well, happy and dare I say, even younger!
Thank you! We are glad you enjoyed it. We have made a lot of modifications to it and it has held up really well!
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska take a look at Embassy Rv, they came out with a new model called the Dual traveller. That model just about hits all my needs
Sending you big warm hugs. xoxo

That's awesome Marian. We strongly believe it doesn't matter much what you're in to get out, just get out. You've got this! Thanks for watching, it's been a ton of fun. xo
Enjoyed the video and the MODS gave me some ideas and are on my lists of things to add once we pull the trigger and get ours. Please be safe.
Keep us posted! xo
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska I am not sold on the boxes yet other but do like hood coverings that will definitely be one of the first mod I do. Stay safe
Hi Jim and Cynthia!
I really love the upgrades. It’s really nice!
It’s like she’s new again. I love the window blinds you need them when the sun comes out and it’s bright. I love it inside and out. They did a great job! Thank you both for the tour of the revel.

Hi Danny! You're welcome. Thanks for watching and hopefully you find one you love and you're out on the road soon.
would have thought you would have mention the added insulation, that was a great job. Glad to see you guys well.
We were thinking about it but we didn't want to make the video too long by repeating stuff from other videos. We love the Havelock wool and actually have added some in a few more places this fall. That will possibly be included in the next mod / upgrade one at 24 months :)
YEP..THAT WAS ALOTTA WORK IS RIGHT..AND YEAH GREAT JOB!!👍
I’m happy you didn’t take offense to my comments earlier. My wife and I have a Ford transit We are doing a Van build
Thanks for stopping in! xo
Wowza, your van upgrades are amazing. Great job! Beautiful and impressive.
Thank you Nick. We appreciate you watching. Stay safe!
By far the best build out there to date!
Thank you for the compliment! 😁. We appreciate you watching.

Hi Hillbilly. It's a rollercoaster but we're riding it.
Happy to have you along with us. Hope you're well as well. 😉
Snow ... Uuhhgg great clip ! Hope you have a great holiday season ... 🔥 stay warm
The snow is beautiful! We are having a wonderful time. Happy Holidays to you!
I love seeing your videos. It is such a different world (Winter Wonderland) than we have down south.
Thank you Linda! We're very happy to bring our winter wonderland to you!
This was so much fun to watch! You two/three were in top notch synchronicity! Bravo! Like i said over on FB (sorry Cynthia), Ember is obviously The Queen 👑! She now has her own space!!!! ❤️ ♥️ ❤️
Oh Ember is totally the Queen. She owns us (and the van). We're glad you enjoyed this. See you again soon!. xoxo
😊. Have fun on your travels and stay safe. maybe we can meet up in Spring and say Hi. xo
We hope the accident wasn’t anything serious. The van is more and more functional and bad ass. Great video!!!
Hi Chad. We will be showing what happened on the road this coming Sunday. Nobody was hurt for sure. We're glad you enjoyed the tour. Thanks for stopping in. xoxo
Helllo. We’ve been watching for awhile and love that you take the time to respond and answer your comments. Thank you. We love your videos.
We still enjoy seeing all the new creative builds out there!
what a good upgrade, well done !! you are ready for the next adventures !
Well almost Rob... a few more things in the works already but it was time for an update :)
Man.
You can’t put lockers on the Mercedes
Not being able to upgrade with diff locks reduce the 'off road' appeal quite a bit. :-/ Mercedes should have thought of a way round that......
I think it’s because of the computer traction control system . The 4x4 system in the Mercedes is not a true 50/50 split front and rear 4x4 system
Hi Stan, if they ever come up with a way to do this on a sprinter we will absolutely jump on it. I am sure someone will one of these days.
Hi, at 23:20 , you are showing your closet organisation, Could you tell me more about those grey organizers please!
They are felt bins which not only help us organize but also keep things from banging around. We have them linked in our amazon store.
The scraper makes life easier and....I'll do my best to avoid farting and purple dogs. 😂
Got a couple of good ideas from you guys.

Hi Dave, We are doing well. We hope you are doing well also. Thank you for watching today!
Thanks for the review! What an awesome state and vehicle to be trapped in!
It really is! Thanks for stopping in and saying hello!
Please please keep in touch so we can meet up when we're out of all of this!! xo
Good job guys have fun and be safe out there
Thank you Chet! 😁
Ha! That's awesome guys! We love your GLSS!
The van looks way more bad ass!
Thanks. Glad ya like it. 😉

- Cyn

Every major hwy/artery in AK should b double decker so in winter u hve covered roads to drive on & free road to direct traffic own to for go around.
Yes. It's such a complicated system of $ and social and political aspects. 😁.
Really enjoying following your journey! Thanks
Namaste
Thank you for being here Kim. 😁
Talk to you soon. xoxo
Wow lots of upgrades...looks awesome!
Thank you so much. We love it even more now :). Hope you are doing well and staying safe!
Cool personalized license plate!
Hi Ginny, Thank you. We hope you have a great week!
Great video guys, looking forward to seeing more from you. By the way, I like all the stickers on the back windows LOL.
Thank you Don. Each one has a story and memory behind it :)
Your Revel 4 x 4, a great camper. Too bad, there is not in Europe to buy. For my planned trip, across the USA and Alaska, a really good alternative. Absolutely good ideas you have realized. I will copy some of them. - Thank you -
Greetings from Frankfurt, stay healthy and I wish you and your family, a happy new year 2021.
We are happy with all of them. Happy New Year Gerold!
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska Thanks a lot, ma by we see us this year in Alaska or the States. Have a nice day and a lot of fun.
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska Yes, it's my planning. I am in the Internet of your channel. I smile very often. So nice videos. Your dog, smile, better your kid, is so funny.
Yes and have a nice first day in the year.
@@geroldknoebel2402 would absolutely love to cross paths :)
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska :) Is shortly for 5 AM. xxxx
Nice to see you guys and like your new Mods
Thank you Kevin. We hope you are doing well!
Cool setup. I have an older Roadtrek with a generator for the air conditioning, which the Revel lacks. But I am in goldie-locks weather here in San Diego. Maybe someday cash out the house and get something like yours....
Hey Paul, the 2021 can run the AC off the batteries which is nice. We will be able to once we overhaul the power system. Happy New Year!
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska Hey, do your drone! With that Skydio, you can avoid obstacles while filming you driving the road!
@@Emuspaul you’ll see it in action if you watch the most recent two videos :)
You should put your new drone in that back storage on you right facing the back door
hmm. Good idea Jack. We will see how it fits... That might be a decent home for it! Happy New Year!
Love ❤️ that retractable bed. Fabulous! Enjoy ~ 👍
Hi Rachel, it is really really nice not to have to tear down the bed and put it back each day. We just push the button and it’s outta the way. Stay safe!
Also have a merry Christmas and happy new year!!!!
You as well!
Bro you did a lot upgrade to van for yr need great info keep d video coming enjoy evefy bit of it
Thank you! We are glad you are on this journey with us! Happy Holidays!
Hi Jeff, that was in the plans for this past summer but with Covid the ferry systems had weird rules also. We do want to visit there :)
I leave this under every video I watched, it helps the algorithm
Happy Holidays!
Nice Up grade Wow I remember watching you guys go pick that up 👍🏾
Hi Adrian! :). Yes! And we plan to keep adding to it as our needs increase. Thanks for coming along, it's been fun!
Have a Good Time
We are so happy to bring you snow and share our stories with you. Thanks for coming along with us! xoxo
Thank you for beeing such nice peoples ........
You are so kind Eme, thank you.
What make is the new ladder? How about the blanket or quilt you cover rear doors with for added insulation?
The insulated rear partition we use is from thisvanlife.net . The partition Installs with magnets making it really quick to put up and take down. It has worked really really well for us.
The ladder is from Backwoods Adventure mods :). Happy Holidays!
Another great video! Your rig look reinvigorated! I think you forgot to go into detail about the rear door insulating curtain which we are very interested in :-)
Enjoy your upgrades !Looking forward to you next video!
@@WingsandWheelsAlaska Thanks! I'll have to go back and watch that video. Was it the six month or one year review?
@@perezjorbaorg6050 it is in our 1 year review.
It looks absolutely awesome and keep posting I’m sooo jealous what a awesome rig you have I’d love a vw California 4motion
Thank you Jason! We appreciate you being part of the journey with us!
Another great video, stay safe
Thank you for watching Julia. Have a great week. xo
Looks good what u have done, stay safe & happy travels, from Australia 👍👍👍👍
Thank you Karen. Sending you love. 💕
I just watched your video. Thanks for all of the information. You explained everything about the GLSS but I see that there was also an attached table there. Is it included in the GLSS and can it be raised?
Yes. The table can be raised and lowered and turned.
I like the addition of the GLSS, but what did you guys do with the lithium batteries? Where were they relocated...or did you remove them completely?
Hi Seth. Our Lithium batteries are located under the bench seat. We have the Roamrig system which is after market. Happy New Year!
Great update video! I did not see any leveling blocks. Don't you need them, especially when boondocking?
Hi John, we have never carried leveling blocks. We get as level as possible, sometimes we use rocks, and sometimes a spot just isn’t the right fit for us. We boondock constantly and it has always worked out one way or the other 🤣
Starting at $185,838 just for the rig. Love your set up. I think there might be more eloquent options with a much smaller price tag.
Hi Daniel we paid nothing near that amount for our rig. You are looking at 2021 list prices. If you haven’t seen us before I understand the confusion. 😉
Your travels are awsome.
Thank you Esther, we're happy you're enjoying them along with us.
