Few riders can take these bikes to their limits. Of those few, even fewer can find roads good enough to max out on. So... just pick the one you like best. It doesn't matter.
I've ridden all three too and found the Kawasaki suited my riding the best. The engine is by far the best and I could stand flat footed at a stop light on the Kaw. I'm a cut and slash rider and like to carve traffic and the Z has the chops to do it without drama yet still remain exilirating.
Cool comparison! Would be cool to see the Ducati Streetfigher featured in your next streetfighter shootout. It would definitely be interesting to see more of the new Honda CB SF as well and get your impressions on that.
3 top notch bikes side by side - the best of the super-nakeds - funnily enough they were the three that I narrowed it down to when I bought my latest love. I ended up with the Triumph - while not necessarily excelling in any one, the all round package of power, torque, handling and braking plus the crazy exotic looks (not to everyone's taste perhaps) sealed the deal
They usually have a different review because european and japanese bikes are made with different mindsets. which is why Honda, Kawasaki, and suzuki are reviewd together while the Aprilia, ducati and the BMW are usually reviewd together.
Perfect thanks - these are the 3 I'm looking at. I'd like to ask 2 more questions... which would be best if 1. it's main role is as a urban commuter (plus weekend blasts) and 2. the rider is 6 ft 6 and 270 lbs...can anyone help? thanks
@ThaBR33D nope your good. just try not to get more bike that you can handle, be safe, have self control, and watch for traffic around you because theyre probably not watching for you. if your just starting out though people recommend 250s, 650s, and 600s.
The Arrow pipes only give you 3 or 4 more bhp so i'm guessing that the S3 and the Z1000 are about the same. I've ridden both the Honda and the Triumph, the Honda is very flickable and easy to ride quick in the twistys well finished and Honda smooth but dosen't have any real character. I test rode the the Triumph 2 months ago and now I own one and have just passed 2000 miles on the clock (Arrows make the best sound ever) Didn't ride the Z1000 as not a fan of the styling of the bike
The triumph makes more hp power at almost 1000 rpm lower than the two other bikes that are 1000s. That's really impressive. I wish it didn't have those bug eyes.
Most riders will not try to max it out, rather ride out for fun and bring it back in one piece, clean it, look at it, beut she is, park it out of harms way. Get in the Jimny and off roading with the missus. 😜
put some good tires on that z1000 and its a new bike. The standart Pirellis (ABS) or BT016 suck at it. Try Metzler M5 or Conti SportAttack2 for example.
Really, gonna vote no on the z1000 b cuz of the back tire..its the best of the 3 imho no doubt...oh and idk how the 3cyclinder speed triple out does the 1043 4 cyclinder on horses and torque...not sure on those stats..honda really needs to cover up the pipes on the cb and triumph, please do something about the old looking headlights on the triple??
I bought the honda one too. I loved the Speed Triple but I know what it's like to live with a European anything (Cars Motorcycles Appliances) and I really didn't want to deal with the extra upkeep. From experience I know that Kawasakis burn themselves out before you're done paying for them. The CB1000r is balanced, handles really sharply, smooth as cognac, comfortable as a Laz-Y-Boy and reliable as an anvil! I love it and when the weather is nice I even ride it to work aside form all weekend.
agreed! but i still prefer the speed triple, it has a more docile control! the Z1000 is a beast, a awesome, godcrafted beast! peace brother! ride safe!
For almost half the cost for slightly less performance the Z1000 wins hands down.... As far as electric rider aids etc etc those euro bikes have more gadgets but if you're getting on a Z1000 or the like odds are you dont need em. Also, the Z1000 doesnt require or cost nearly as much as the euro nakeds as far as maintenance/parts go. Thats why the Z1000 wins.........If you have money and time to waste not riding then great...But for the average joe the Z1000 or any japanese supernaked is the way to go.
Speed Triple and CB Stripped Super sports. Z1000 A really powerful standard/Sport. not even the same class. But, I love my Z its a sleeper. I love passing ZXs, CBRs, and GsxRs in the turns, when we stop they say I didn't know that thing could corner like that. Also the CB 1000 headlight is hideous

Truer words have never been spoken. I frequently preach the same about supersports.
I've just bought a 2012 CB1000R - love it - nicest biker I've had since my ZX9R back in the late 90s

Thanks for the video. Pretty much confirms Speed 3 to be my next toy.
I bought one! Best bike I have ever owned, thanks.
is that bike ok for beginner?
hey guys, is the suzuki b-king and ducati monster considered to be a "streetfighter"? thanks!
umm. what about the ducati streetfighter? i assume you left it out because 2k11 edition wasn't out yet right?
They usually have a different review because european and japanese bikes are made with different mindsets. which is why Honda, Kawasaki, and suzuki are reviewd together while the Aprilia, ducati and the BMW are usually reviewd together.
I have a cb1000ra! It's soooo perfect! Loooove it!!!!
Adam Erkan yeah i have a 2012 matte black one myself and I love it.
Perfect thanks - these are the 3 I'm looking at. I'd like to ask 2 more questions... which would be best if 1. it's main role is as a urban commuter (plus weekend blasts) and 2. the rider is 6 ft 6 and 270 lbs...can anyone help? thanks
@ThaBR33D cool, so youre in to street fighters? idk, i like them and the triumph daytona 675R
guy sounds so nervous lol
"Accessory Arrow pipes"? Dyno it stock for stock.
I Ride a 2010 Z1000 and SO happy with it.

I have no idea what the guy in red meant about the kawi "great great great but hard to overlook this downfall".
so If I wanna be a hooligan witch bike is better the z1000 or the cb
I had all 3 bikes
2011 z1000
2007 speed triple
2009 cb1000r
that guy kevin looks like he hasn'nt slept from last 4-5 months
troy siahaan ? he is indonesian ?
troy siahaan??thats indonesia farm name...
@madman9515 yeah. well this is new territory for them. they are writers first. video presenters second if not third.

Those bhp figures are way out by the way.
So a cb1000r is less hp than my old z750 or any 600 supersport
Total shite
?? What do you mean
I was thinking the same cb1000r has 130 bhp standard 😂
bikes from the nineties were good looking, nowdays all the companies try to make 'transformers' versions of the bikes, kind of sad.
I'm 6'1 and 235 lbs. I have the CB1000r and I think it's as comfortable as a La-Z-Boy and it's been as reliable as an anvil.
for me it has got to be the z1000
Really, gonna vote no on the z1000 b cuz of the back tire..its the best of the 3 imho no doubt...oh and idk how the 3cyclinder speed triple out does the 1043 4 cyclinder on horses and torque...not sure on those stats..honda really needs to cover up the pipes on the cb and triumph, please do something about the old looking headlights on the triple??
la mejor moto

The guy that first reviewed the CB1000R was LAME... find him another job. Pitiful...
this guy seems nervous... the first reviewer i meant

I'm 6'1 and 235 lbs and the CB1000r is really comfortable for me!
this guy seems nervous...
the honda is 125hp, wtf ?
Z1000 Best bike ever
agreed! but i still prefer the speed triple, it has a more docile control!
the Z1000 is a beast, a awesome, godcrafted beast!
