  • Cuban Sees Snow for First Time and its an emotional snow reaction. Snow reactions are usually for kids, but after living on a socialist Caribbean island for 36 years, this moment means so much to us.
We went up to Big Bear Lake, CA to film one of the last snow storms. We are so incredibly grateful for all of you that have watched our journey.

I am also 56 years old & live in the middle of the USA & have always seen pictures of the white sandy beaches in Florida but have never seen it with my own eyes. But my sister & I are planning to go to Destin in mid-September. Seeing white sand with my own eyes has been on my bucket list for most of my life. I might be as excited seeing it in person as Yoel was to see snow!!

When I was a boy in Durban, South Africa, we had 'cold' weather, which in Britain would be a lovely warm spring day. Then, we came to settle in Britain when I was fourteen. I'd never seen snow other than in films, and, my god, it was just the most breathtaking thing, so flowing from the skies, heaping up to your knees, and making everything incredibly quiet. Mind you, we arrived in time for one of the coldest winters ever recorded in 1962, and were simply unable to keep warm. My poor dad was utterly shocked when the first gas bill came. Nowadays, here in the middle of England, snow is a rare occurrence, but still a thrill when it does happen. Robert, UK.

As someone who just found your channel recently, and lives in New England (Northeast united states), this really warmed my heart. We have beautiful mountains and forests that are blanketed with snow every year, and it holds a special place in my heart growing up with snow and winter activities. Glad you checked off another dream Yoel y Mari

I can honestly say that I hate snow, but seeing his reaction having seen it for the first time in his life, does give me a little more appreciation of that first snow in the winter. The seemingly inocus things that you are introducing him to are incredible. I wish you both well in this incredible journey. It is amazing watching this "through his eyes".

There is something special about standing outside watching and "listening" to the snow fall, quietly. It's sort of sacred, hushed. That may seem weird to you but try it sometime. Just stand there and experience it. It's special.
