It felt like mom and dad got back together with J and lou got back together I love both Dinosaur and Sebadoh back in early 90 but they both them making together and doing other projects..Both Dinosaur Jr and Sebadoh are making awesome music Jason Lowstein is big song writing in the last couple of Sebadoh albums..and he deserved it..he is the heart of Sebadoh
The consistency since this single came out is to be marveled. I love how J seems more healthy and maybe only a couple years older these days. Same for Lou. The new album rocks, and the livestreamed covid shows are fucking phenomenal. I can't wait to see them live in person again. Here's to another 35.
His stuff isn’t that complex, but he’s a really creative guitar player and has great tone. Just have fun with it and experiment! And don’t try to be J Mascis, nobody is :)

I saw J play at Subterranean in Chicago about five years ago, playing an acoustic set. He gave an acoustic guitar greater energy than most players can put through an electric guitar. It was absolutely sensational.
In that band in the very beginning is Coco (Kim & Thurston's daughter) on guitar in the dialogue w/ Thurston also its Matt Krefting (solo artist, part of the experimental sound trio Son of Earth...etc) who's the singer...

He's a real close friend of mine, he put out a solo record on ecstatic peace a couple years ago called "I Couldn't Love You More", Mascis plays guitar on some tracks on it. If you search him on youtube you should come up with some studio album footage from one of the sessions on that record. It's really good.

They toured together for awhile and J Mascis was almost the drummer of Nirvana but he wanted to pursue DInosaur Jr. Alot of people have actually compared Kurt and Mascis' solos too. Nirvana's got some great stuff, don't be fooled by stuff like Smells Like Teen Spirit.

So, look at Black Flag, or even Husker Du, and it looks rough and crazy. Is this rough and crazy, or is it nice and mellow? It's crazy how it feels nice and calm, but crazy and out of control.
I like Beyond slightly better than Farm - the songs are catchier. No matter, Dinosaur is still one of my very few "must buy" bands whenever a new album comes out, very glad they're still going strong!
