Went out, used all your recommendations, had the best day of bass fishing I’ve ever had, and placed 7th in my first ever fishing tournament. You da man B. Lat
Niiiiiice
were there only 7 ppl in the tournament?
Within 5 minutes you became my new favourite pro angler.
Thank you for down to Earth, no show off explanation. Respect ✊🏾
He's very likable and understandable. I think he's my favorite modern day bass fisherman.
I'm old. I like a normal person. There's another young guy on RUclips, I don't know the words he's saying. Brian is great.
I love when fishing videos get to the point and start with actual advice.
I don’t think anyone explains things as well as Brian. Love his vids. He explained things so I would understand it.
This is absolutely the best drop shot tutorial I've seen! You rocked this man!
As usual -
New favorite and I done been around YT 🎣vids
Your knowledge and detailed descriptions are second to none
Appreciate ya man 👍🏽
How lucky was I? I was just looking for drop shot guides today and wished my favorite fishing channel had a recent one.
What we need on RUclips. Simple down to earth fishing tutorials. Thanks BLat.
Most informative drop shot video I’ve watched. This is going to be my rookie year with drop shot application and I’m thankful you made this video.
Brian is a great teacher that is straightforward, clear, without waste. Thanks so much for sharing and teaching.
I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge Brian. You have amazingly simple excellent insight.
Hey Brian - awesome tips, I feel like I've watched most of your videos in just the last couple weeks. One thing I'd like to see more of is you showing us how to actually fish the rigs you're showing us. You show how to rig it up and what combos to use and then I get out on the water and realize I'm missing something
I’m just getting into bass fishing and thank you so much for explaining the drop shot the way you did. Now I know I was using too heavy of weights.
I lost it at "that thang will last as long as them mcdonalds fries that your kid dropped underneath your car seat" 🤣🤝
Just bumped into your video. Perfect timing. Exactly everything I needed to know, as I don’t know anything about drop shotting. I can’t wait to outfish my buddy when we go next time!
Great content and simple. I love it. I SUV’s, liked and saved this video. Thank you so much!
Thank you for the information. Trying to get back into bass fishing. More insight on that style of fishing.
Without a doubt, this is one of the best fishing RUclips channels. Thank you for all you do and for sharing a wealth of information.
Such an honest presentation by a well spoken man . Keep up the great work. Just loved it .
Just installed the lowrance live target & we'll be drop shotting a lot now. Thanks for the great advice.
Because of your previous videos, I started using dropshots and ned rigs for Florida Largemouth in the winter and it works great! Once I started using a medium spinner with 8lb fluro I caught even more. Thank you for your help!
Great video B. Important information for all. My DS setup is similar to what you said. #2 owner mosquito light wire hook, 1/4 ounce sinker. I use that set up on ultralight rod/reel and 4 lb mono. Works great here at the lakes I fish in Oregon. My bait is primarily the Big Bite Baits Smallie Smasher in the Chick Magnet color. Thanks B
Great tips Brian! Thanks! It is cold and snowy here in the Great White North and this video warmed my heart!
The Owner circle hooks have been the bomb for drop shotting for us from the banks even, from #4 to 1-0 sizes on 6 lb fluorocarbon rig w/ Nightcrawlers or Shrimps for bluegill, catfish, & spotted bass.
What’s up Brian? I’ve never fished a dropshot rig before, but now that I been schooled by B.Lat I’m gonna give it a shot and see what happens! Thanks for taking the time to teach everyone your techniques!
Thank you a million, helped me immensely.. solved questions I wondered about rigs... thank you...
Nice Blat. Thank you for sharing. I'm going to add it to one of my fishing lists as I continue to grow as an angler.
Thank you B Latt, really appreciate your advice!
I just can't figure out why anyone would thumbs down this wealth of knowledge from B-Lat. Thanks for the tips brother.
RUclips adds fake dislikes.
I blame bots. And idiots running bots.
Wow, packed with knowledge and concise! Thank you, sir!
Just getting started with this rig. This video is perfect. Thanks!
Another great video B Lat. You really know how to
“ teach " on subjects. You keep things interesting and from what I can tell accurate. If you have any class time like you did last yr. Or early this yr I would be interested. Good luck Brian
This is a great video and great teaching. Thank you so much for making it simple.
One of your best videos. I’ve watched it three time and saved it for reference
On another note I have purchased pretty much all the favorite rods and that was because of watching you bro and I know my opinion doesn’t matter. I truly feel they owe you your own rod selection man the knowledge you put in your video’s about rods that you use and why and when to use them wow! It’s only right bro Favorite rods owe you your on select of rods bro can’t wait to see them on the market 🤞🏾# vote for the BLAT signature series rods. You would definitely have my vote👊🏾 Keep up the good work man👍🏾
Love this video. Made things very simple. Like all the best things are. Thankyou.
All very well explained. Will check out the shop as well as more videos
Love the content! Can't wait to see you on the tournament trail!
Thanks for the advice, Brian! Keep up the vids.
Thank you sir for the great information....I keep being told out here in AZ to use drop shot...but I haven't done so yet cause the water hasn't seemed clear enough to me....but then again I am a beginner bass angler...so not 100% what people see clear as....so many different opinions
Verry informative and to the point .. great job and thank you for the info ..keep winning those big competitions my boi
Very well explained. Great Brian!
Thanks Brian, very helpful.
Awesome advice, Thank You!
Thank Brian like your style of drop shot.. Very informative
Thanks for sharing your great knowledge!
I definitely like my Gamakatsu drop shot swivels, with a 2/0 octopus hook. Works well and definitely love the nose hook. Will also use the Decoy HD 2/0 ewg to Texas rig the bait, strictly for grassy areas.
very well said, direct to the point, lots of points covered. Subscribed.
Many thanks for the help. Great video. I'm about to downsize my dropshot rig! 👍
Great Video! My son is going to start fishing tournaments and this will be extremely helpful!
Thanks for the video Brian.
Thank you, Sir! One of the absolute finest fishing videos I've seen - and I'm 65. Moving to Florida; hopefully soon, and will remember your teachings. Pardon me while I subscribe. R//David
Great info....nice video! Thanks Brian
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Me: Buys a $20 realistic looking crankbait
The fish: I'd like a 25 cent stick of rubber please
Don't feel bad about 10 years ago was fly fishing in New Mexico and these guys came over from Poland. At first they used all kinds of fancy nymphs and then they discovered the plain shiny red hook. Yup just a plain flashy red hook is all you need in that fast moving muddy water.
@@MrRourk Lol! I've caught a few on a plain, gold hook before even!
Awesome tips. Great video! 👍🏼
Going to test this out in AZ. Just moved here never fished here...everyone tells me “drop shot drop shot” I’m used to vertical drop shot for pan fish off a dock that’s about it...🤞🏼
Awesome video and good information about the drop shot rig I used it all the time for smallmouth here in Oregon ✌
Great video thanks for sharing!
Great Video, Thank you Brian!
This is the first time coming across one of your videos and it was great, good information, explained in easy simple terms. I don't subscribe to many presenters but I did you. Looking forward to seeing more.
Gotta say; I checked out a lot of videos to learn about fishing a drop shot. This one is by far the best.
...Brian just got a new subscriber!
How were you not already subbed!?!
Great video, great information! Thanks brother!!!
Great info! Appreciate it!
2:42 love it!!! My favorite bass fishing channel. Hell if you saltwater fished you’d be my favorite there too. Shoot if you went noodling I’d go somewhere to figure that out too!!
This definitely made it simplistic for drop shot! Thanks bro!
Thanks for sharing your wisdom!
Great info Brian, thanks!
Awesome video. I learned so much about how to rig them in different ways. Thanks so much.
Just discovered you. Awesome insightful information. Simple and to the point. Have a friend here in California who owns a tackle shop. He has his own brand of fish attractant. He says the same thing when he hooks up a nightcrawler and dips it in sauce. " Soak it real good until it does the Watusi." I split a gut when you said, " make it do the James Brown." Great video, will be watching from now on.
When a man who loves what he does he will teach with passion great lesson mr. B lat a lot of guys can fish or build a house or any other trade but they can’t teach or just don’t have the patience to explain an explain to simplify it great work sir
Awesome tips, thanks Brian.
First video of yours I’ve watched. Immediately subbed! Great explanation and detail.

Great video as always!
Hands down best drop shot video I’ve seen
Love the new boat bro those XF models are a great value, im looking at the pt20 or the new pad hull mx21 from Crestliner, they make a dam good boat thats been proven in the cypress stump fields of Louisiana, myself and others have run them for years down here
Outstanding video. I wish they were all this good.
My man👊🏾 keep the good info coming 👍🏾
Thanks B Lat, great tips!
Great video.... super helpful information...
Great video... thanks!
Great video! Breath of fresh air. Simple, honest and to the point….new subscriber here now!
Big fan man! I appreciate the info!
I hated drop shoting for a long time but this year I decided to learn this technique better. I have landed so many fish this year drop shoting even in severe conditions. It has slowly become my favorite technique because I can catch fish in horrible conditions. I use roboworms but the yamamoto shad shape worms have been doing work also. im going to try the Zman stuff and see if I go through less baits.
I always have all 3 roboworm, yamamoto and zman in the boat!
Wow great video, I learned a lot! Thank you so much...
Great lesson AS ALWAYS !
Great, thanx Brian! 😍
Thanks one of your best vids.
Great info. Thanks
Bought a sick stick 7'1 mh today got home and saw this content you made me feel like I got the right rod can't wait to get out there now that's crazy thankyou much

Nice understandable video ,well done Brian
THANKS MAN.VERY WELL SPOKEN DROP SHOT GUIDE. NEVER THOUGHT OF USING 2 POUND LINE FOR THE WEIGHT. MAKES PERFECT
SENSE. DONT MIND LOSING A WEIGHT,BUT A ROMAN MADE WORM??? FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!
B-LAT good timing for me. Sat and Sun I had no luck on Guntersville when using my Ned rigs. I was thinking after the fact i needed to give the drop shot a whirl. I think this confirms that thought. Lol! Enjoying the videos. I've been seriously looking in to A Crestliner boat for about 6 months or more. It seems you're happy with yours. Please let us know if you come across any issues with it or dislikes. Your inputs on it would be helpful. I trust your opinion. Thanks. Tight lines.
Great video, I appreciate your work. Good luck on MLF this year
