From one brutha to another, holla atcha! Why I love your content ... not the boss opening with the 2x pickup trucks, one with stacked yaks, not the dual bass boats in the tackle shop custom garage, no no no ... I have much respect because for all your success, sponsors and available tools and tackle, you’re tying knots and cutting line with a tried and true 6” needle nose pliers. And from the looks of it, just a tad worn cutting that #12 braid. JUST LIKE ME! no fancy braid cutting scissors or hi-tech titanium snips. Just good ol’ pliers. I mean this with all sincerity, thank you Brian for keeping it real! ✊🏾
*Was very surprised at the sensitivity of this rod **enjoyable.fishing** recommend Was very impressed. And the extendable handle really lets you get a great casting action.*

new to dropshotting, realizing that my presentation has been off with the hook after watching this. Just tied a fresh one on. Def chuckin a wacky shot out next time as well. Thanks Brian!
wow! that was easy to understand. I'm a noob but I know how to rig a dropshot from watching other tutorials but your explanation my man is the easiest to grasp. It is not boring and it is very informative. This is the perfect dropshot video. Period.
I find it really satisfying watching you do all this inside your boat. You could be doing this anywhere else but it just seems really cool you’re doing in inside the boat.
I tie a loop on the end so I can switch sinkers fast. I use coiled led and cut it at various lengths. I have pliers that punch an eye in the lead to run my loop through.
Maaaaan. You're incredibly fortunate to have all those baits and gear in your garage. Not saying you haven't worked for them I'm sure you have worked extremely hard for them. I'm sure you remember the days of fishing with the bear essentials. That's just about where I'm at right now still working on acquiring a good amount of soft plastics. Hopefully one day I can have a setup like yours. A man can dream right?
I caught a 27 in largemouth on a dropshot hook with a shiner and a balloon with zero problems of landing, but then again, that old bass never tried to fight. I guess it was too old to. It cost a little more, but I'd suggest the swivel through dropshot hooks.
BLat, thanks for the flow of videos during this time. Need the inspiration. Keep up the great work and good luck this year when you're back on tourney.
Thank you for this, it helped me a lot with tying up my first drop shot. Been fishing since I could stand, and today was the first day I used a drop shot. And IT WORKS lol. Thanks again B. Lat.
Awesome video bro thanks for the tips! That palmetto bug came in handy this morning, I used it on the favorite summit spinning rod that I got from you at your class. Me and jr are becoming better anglers because of you!👍🏽👍🏽
Brian I love those zman finesse worms, the 4" and 7" are killer on drop shot or a shakey head! They stand straight up off the bottom and flutter with the slightest movements.
B-Lat I love the cuts. I ran into some red-eyed largies near my house in Wisconsin. This is the situation we messaged about before. I think they have Kentucky strain, based on the markings. Thanks for your efforts.
I feel that I have a hard time spitting out certain phrases. Just one of the cons to looking so damn good. haha Keep up the good work man, just subbed and can't wait to dig into your other videos :)
B.Lat, Thx for doing this video. I like Zman products but i never use them for dropshot. Never thought of it. I always use 6" straight tail Roboworms or 3 to 4 inch swimbaits with pretty good success. I'll have to try some of the Zman products u talked about.
Hi. I don't understand your Palomar knot. You thread the line through the hook's eye without bending/doubling it like the example in the link. What am I missing?
Thank you for the name of that knot. I've been tying that knot for a couple of years now and couldn't tell people what it's called. I've been telling people the Chinese finger cuff knot lol
He is becoming my favorite fishing pro to watch. I'm new to your channel so I haven't watched all your video. But from what I have watched. You don't seem to mention or use bait casters to often. Am I wrong or is there a reason? Thank you for all the great content.
B lat I’m have issues with my leader knot getting caught in my rod eyes using AlbertO knot is this normal the knot seem really small and I use a length typically the same as you’ve showed.
Hey Brian do you use a sampose swivel because I find that to Illuminate the line twist sometimes I use braid straight to the top of the swivel and then floor carbon after or sometimes I make a 7 foot long floral carbon leader and then add my swivel in what do you think about that
I like the dropshot weights that have a loop instead of the clip. I prefer to tie to the weight and I feel that the clip cuts into my like and I end up losing weights more with that style.
Brian, What is the brand name of the tackle box that you are using to keep your drop shot and hooks in? Thanks for what you do for the world of bass fishing!
You said to have the hook up, and then rig it from the top, but watching carefully it appears that you first brought the line from the reel side in the bottom of the hook eye. I wish it was more clear which side of the hook the line from the reel was supposed to come in to.
B Lat! I caught a couple nice pond bass on the coppertreuse big TRD last night. However, I’m having trouble getting the hook to sit parallel after I tie the Palomar. Putting the tag end back through makes it worse. Please help, it’s driving me nuts!
I started to just buy dropshot weights that don't have the silly clip in system. Just a regular line tie on top of the weight. People act like you'd rather lose your weight than the whole rig but that's ridiculous since tungsten is the most expensive part. And I've found that I almost never break off the whole rig anyways since the weight will still break if gets caught in something, but it will usually pop out unlike with the line clip system where the weight just pulls off super easily.

Brian, you have a gift of teaching. Your explanations and presentations are interesting, and not boring as some other videos. Thanks for the lessons.

Thank you, Brian… best video I’ve seen on the drop shot!
Drop shot video was very informative. Thanks so much Brian.

Dude! I was just explaining to a guy at work today what a drop shot was and told him, watch B-Lat. He uses it all the time! 👊👍
Thank you for this, it helped me a lot with tying up my first drop shot. Been fishing since I could stand, and today was the first day I used a drop shot. And IT WORKS lol. Thanks again B. Lat.

Great video! Great explanation of a very useful bait. Best I’ve seem. Thanks so much.
I'm sure glad you came out with a youtube channel
Hey BLat, gotta tell ya, I started using the smaller streakZ on dropshot last fall on Lanier. Killer !! Love the channel Brian!!’
Lanier is my home lake. You can kill the spots on drop shots
Brilliant! I have a much better understanding of this technique. Thanks for keeping with the vids bro. 👍🏽
B-Lat I love the cuts. I ran into some red-eyed largies near my house in Wisconsin. This is the situation we messaged about before. I think they have Kentucky strain, based on the markings. Thanks for your efforts.

Man, this is an awesome video Brian. I'm new to drop shotting and now have some confidence the next time I go out. Thank you for this!

Hi. I don't understand your Palomar knot. You thread the line through the hook's eye without bending/doubling it like the example in the link. What am I missing?
Your such a great teacher man!
Loving all the new tackle tips videos. Learning a lot of great stuff. Keep up the great content!

Definitely going to try this on my next fishing trip to Falcon lake 🙌🏻👊🏻
Great stuff man the drop shot is something I should use more for sure.
I learned a lot from this video, Thank you so much Brian….
Can you run just fluoro on a drop shot instead of using braid?
Great looking out, great explanation and video! Hula stick to the rescue today.
Why pink?
Why do smallies like pink?
Man you make some sick videos love all the content!
Is the sensitivity on your signature rod that of a medium or medium light rod
Greatest youtuber ever
Thank you for the name of that knot. I've been tying that knot for a couple of years now and couldn't tell people what it's called. I've been telling people the Chinese finger cuff knot lol
B Lat, I enjoy all of your videos. Quick questions. What drone do you use for for your videos?
He is becoming my favorite fishing pro to watch. I'm new to your channel so I haven't watched all your video. But from what I have watched. You don't seem to mention or use bait casters to often. Am I wrong or is there a reason? Thank you for all the great content.
You should do a video on your small boat. Looks like a killer setup!
Look at the boats and stuff playlist!
Thank you Brian!
Keep up great work. Love your simplicity.
B lat I’m have issues with my leader knot getting caught in my rod eyes using AlbertO knot is this normal the knot seem really small and I use a length typically the same as you’ve showed.
Which sick stick spinning rod are you using. You mention taper fast something. I’m trying to buy the rod, I have already purchased the reel.
Hey Brian do you use a sampose swivel because I find that to Illuminate the line twist sometimes I use braid straight to the top of the swivel and then floor carbon after or sometimes I make a 7 foot long floral carbon leader and then add my swivel in what do you think about that
I like to use the Trick shots Zman bait on my drop shots. Great video man. Always learning.
Feeshin' hacks, thanks B-Lat!
Have you ever had a problem with palamare knot breaking on fluorocarbon, on your drop shot Brian?
What up BLat? What size line does that exact reel hold? Does it say 90/6, 90/8, 16/10, or 16/12?
Question so does the drop shot have to hit the bottom floor or can you use this suspended in the water
For your sick stick rod what do you think about the comb reel and rod spinning 7-1 MH and the reel sks 2000?
I love this new series
Love the drop shot but never wacky it thanks for the information 😊
I like the dropshot weights that have a loop instead of the clip. I prefer to tie to the weight and I feel that the clip cuts into my like and I end up losing weights more with that style.
Brian, What is the brand name of the tackle box that you are using to keep your drop shot and hooks in? Thanks for what you do for the world of bass fishing!
You're helping me so much! Thanks! One question about especially the drophshot. What water/wind condition would you fish this in?
Great info. Ty sir.
You said to have the hook up, and then rig it from the top, but watching carefully it appears that you first brought the line from the reel side in the bottom of the hook eye. I wish it was more clear which side of the hook the line from the reel was supposed to come in to.
Great content. Thank you 👍
B Lat! I caught a couple nice pond bass on the coppertreuse big TRD last night. However, I’m having trouble getting the hook to sit parallel after I tie the Palomar. Putting the tag end back through makes it worse. Please help, it’s driving me nuts!
I love it that your pliers look just like mine rusty!
Great video
What do you think about the VMC drop shot hooks? Easy to rig and no line twist.
What size straight shank were u using to Texas rig the dropshot - a #2 as well? Thanks for all the content - wishing you much success.
That intro was hot. 👊🏾
Underrated for sure
Thanks for the video
Nice video and helpful thanks
The Z-Man Trick Shot is also a great drop shot bait
yup! I use it casting out and bringing it in super slow when they're stubborn
I mite have to try that trick shotz. Thx!
I am late to this party so how about the new (‘23) Baby Ballerz?
Good video. Thanks
I started to just buy dropshot weights that don't have the silly clip in system. Just a regular line tie on top of the weight. B Lat, love the content lately. Very cool video. Just subd to the channel, Looking forward to the next one.
