I took the phrase "even if she's willing" to mean the blurb was talking about the government's permission rather than the woman's; however, given how gross the book sounds, I won't say it's an invalid interpretation to disregard the narrator's insistence that the sex the POV character got the death penalty for was _definitely_ 100% consensual, since he sounds like the type of man who includes certain types of "coerced" in the category of "willing".

I’ve only ever had one creative writing assignment so idk how writing works that well, but I am in school for animation with plans to go into character design for shows, so my main issue with these descriptions is that there’s no personality behind the description. You can make a beautiful character but what role does she play in the story? Even if her role is just being hot, what kind of hot? There’s mysterious and sexy, there’s cute and sexy, there’s clueless and sexy, and the description is just a bunch of weird words that don’t tell you anything meaningful about the role this character plays in the story

I LOVE the WOT passage with Aviendha describing Elayne because it's completely self aware lmfao. Robert Jordan does have a fixation with describing breasts (and women folding their arms beneath them for some reason) but this is all just Aviendha being weird in-universe. Even the other characters think she's weird for that. 😂Since she comes from an ultra-pragmatic warrior society her idea of romance is 'who will give me the strongest kids' and then just doesn't understand why other characters like Rand don't think the same way.
It gets funnier when it becomes clear that Aviendha and Elayne have quite a lot of romantic subtext between them too so in hindsight it reads so much like projection.
Basically I just find this whole entire passage absolutely hilarious on multiple levels.

Women have it so easy yet they complain the most We incels are right, women are the judges of a man worth in this society, making dating almost impossible for young men.
Here are some reasons why dating is impossible for young men feel free to dispute me:
There are more men than womeb specially below 40
More female asexuals than male asexuals
Women are much more picky, choosy, judgy specially in dating
Women They are much content alone than men, due in part to the little society punishment that single women have, single men suffer humiliation, degradation and displacement specially virgin men
Virgin men are unattractive to most women
Short guys(5'6 and below)are unattractive to almost all women
Men have to do the approach
Women have much lower sex drive than men and are more harder to arouse.
We are right in almost every point yet people like to lie.
Men are in the most risky jobs and also more men die in much more numbers and also die younger wtf,and women tell themaelves they are the ones that are opressed.disgusting gynocentric society.

I just do a quick description of what they look like and what they are wearing, and that's it. Keep it short and simple, there is no need go into creepy mode. Reading is meant to be enjoyed, a ticket to another place. A place where you go to escape, hang out and be with your imaginary friends without the need to be grossed or creeped out in a horrible way. A lot of this is in the romance sector and many men have used female pen names to avoid the stigma of this. It is a shame this stuff goes on.

This is possibly the only time I’ll ever even partially defend one of these, but uh… here we go ig, lmao
So the one where he remembers all the parts of her face, but not her face? Minus all the weird body descriptors, this read as normal to me, because I can’t visualize clearly or easily and tend to picture in sensory images. That’s pretty accurate for how I remember faces. I can remember individual flashes if I focus on a detail- e.g. eyes- but the second I try to piece it together the image falls apart and slips through my fingers. Tactile things are easier to reconstruct. And if I really know someone’s voice, I can basically make a voice-clone of them in my mind and/or use it for my internal monologue.
Anyway it’s just important to me to explore and validate different types of brains and stuff. The body descriptors are definitely weird, but otherwise that one feels pretty accurate to how I remember things.
(I’m AFAB and [tragically] attracted to guys, btw, not trying to justify men being weird)
