Next step, you may want to convert the router to DC power supply rather than Original AC. This will cut the power consumption 50% off, which is from 70w to 30w. Huge difference with a 200Ah battery in boondocking.
We will do the 12V in the future. For now we use the Ecoflow Delta Max 2 when not plugged in since we now have an extra 200 Ah battery
I have an in-motion and I think it consumes nearly 250w
@@jamestreanor182 wow, so converting yours to 12V would save quite a bit of power.
that is performance dish, big one right?@@jamestreanor182
@@BamBamRVAdventures where do you put the Ecoflow, I can’t figure out a good location
Respect, you guys are not afraid to tackle any project, the treat for viewers is the beautiful Model doing the work 😅😂😮 I’ll stick with my portable unit for now.😅
Thanks for watching 😂We do like doing projects after projects….
Yay, glad to see that everything works after all the effort you guys put in! Can't wait to see how well the starlink works in your next trips!
Thank you 🤗So far it has been working great despite being under tree branches at Yosemite and Sedona RV park.
We have a a love hate relationship with star link!! We are always at campgrounds with a lot of trees! I am glad it worked out for you!!
Thank you for watching 🤗
That’s what I heard too, sometimes no signals with lots of trees. I guess if that happens to us then we have to drive to a clear spot to make a phone call or text. 😂
another job well done
Thank you Jmon 🤗
Great how-to - very clear and instructive. I'm sure this is going to help a lot of people! Thats a great setup you have and now ou can travel to more remote places - really opens up the possibilities.. Great work as always :)
Thank you. Next project probably converting it to 12V to save power for boondocking. 🤗
I sure hope people take inspiration from these videos. There’s so many things that you can do yourself and save both time and money.
When I installed a bidet in the RV everyone was amazed but there’s really nothing to it. Took me about 30 minutes.
Please keep the videos coming they are awesome!
Thank you for your encouraging words Doug. We like to do DIY projects… 😂Having a bidet in your RV is seriously a luxury item. 🤗
Which bidet did you use?
저도 이번에 스프린터 4x4 뽑았는데 너무 좋아요 ㅋㅋ
Congratulations on your new Sprinter. Safe travels
hope its not blocked by your AC unit in certain locations, did you go with the 12v conversion? Which model of AC unit did you upgrade to! great videos!
So far we have pretty signal at the campgrounds with lots of trees. The AC is not blocking the Starlink. We bought the AC unit from Recpro and had Airstream dealer replaced it.
We will do 12V conversion in the future
Gorgeous ….RV. 😂
Thank you Peter 🤗
Meant every word...😊
@@petercoventry3367 you are very kind 🤗
@@BamBamRVAdventures I am just waiting for my flight to take me back from London where I have a home back to Penang Malaysia , where I retired to...speak soon 😊
@@petercoventry3367 have a safe flight back to your retirement paradise 🤗
If you can share, what model of Starlink did you go with? What service? Are you able to use it while driving?
I also want to do the install of the same A/C unit. I hate that amount of noise of the stock A/C that came with my Airstream Interstate.
Thank you for watching. We have the standard Starlink with the Roam plan $150/month. We turned the service as needed for 30 days. We tested that it works while driving but we are not supposed to use it per policy.
The new AC is so much quieter and nice to have heating function too just in case our Truma heater breaks we still can use this AC for heat. 🤗
@@BamBamRVAdventures thank you for the prompt reply.
My wife likes to work while I drive. So maybe I should spend the additional $$ and go for the Mobile option (Flat High Performance) to be able to use it while moving.
Thank you again for the videos. Very informative. Our AI is a 2018 AI TB Lounge.
@@Wachuko-1 You are welcome 🤗Your AI Lounge is lovely. My husband loves the AI lounge too but I can’t really maneuver anything longer than the 19’ so I had to vote no. 😂
@@BamBamRVAdventures I understand. At the time when we bought ours new, the AI 19 was not out. Came out a few years after we purchased ours. This is our first RV. We love it. We have done a few modifications that we have documented in the AI forum.
Safe travels!!
@@Wachuko-1 it’s fun doing all the upgrades to our vans. Safe travels 🤗
What is your monthly/annual rate for Starlink?
@@docimma it’s $150 per month and we only activate the service when we need to and stop the service before the month ends.
