Great! But the cz shadow 2 9 x 21 it's ok for weight in the idpa ?I'm italian novice. Now i have only 1 Beretta px4.But within a year i would buy. Thanks for the attention. And forza Juve!
Been shooting some local matches for some time, interested in shooting a sanctioned match, question about my gun, it is a 45acp, with a grip that has been stippled and the guide rod is a solid guide rod, how does that affect my equipment check?
carstensxdm45, your 45 is more than likely being shot in CDP Custom Defense which is like Enhanced Service Pistol. Stiple to your hearts content! Your legal!
I used to participate in IDPA and always had a great time but had to stop due to scheduling conflicts. I would like to begin again but have found out that my CZ does not fit into any division due to its dimensions/weight (not safety issues). It is not a race gun and I don't see how it gives me any distinct advantages (other than not looking like a heavy duty stapler)... RIP the dream
I was told that my steel frame P-01 would not fit in box and/or be too heavy. Should I just go to a local match and see if they approve it? It's been a while and seems like things have changed a lot (like the 5x5 classifier?!?)
Yes, for sure you should be fine for local matches. I just looked up all the CZ Steel P 01's and even the extended 75B is within limits that I can see.
Outstanding video Mark! A very nicely organized, informative tutorial.
Good job Mark. Now I'm all ready for Backstopper's 2017. Really liked seeing what everything wrong looks like.
Nice Video For Learning About IDPA Divisions & Relevant Equipment Gear
0:56 is it ok to pull the slide when gun pointed to table and not to some safety wall?

How do you know which "safety devices" a given gun is supposed to have?
If I changed just the trigger shoe can I use in competition?

The stippling in on the actual grip, the gun is a xdm 5.25, still okay?
too many bs rules.
Yeah... kinda agreed.
I didn't know sti race guns with ice magwells were legal in idpa.
Can a handgun be rotated slightly in the box to fit, or does it have to sit square?
You can do whatever you need to to make it fit, but it must stay in battery. If you can dry fire it in the box, your good.

What CZ model do you have. Not sure which gun that is not a race gun would kick you out of all IDPA divisions?

I wonder why they told me no, thanks a lot, I'll go to a match and try - thanks!
