A hat is nice too, to protect your older balding head against sun burns and if you are a Glock owner, to protect you against multidirectional ejections that will certainly end up hitting you on the head.
I'm a noob with concealed carry and I am very interested in shooting a few USPSA matches(because they are the only comps that allow AIWB)to help my proficiency. I have watched several videos about getting started in USPSA and FINALLY someone mentions AIWB as one of the options and also which division allows it. And you also, unlike most others, don't knock it for being "an unsafe option" for concealed carry. Thank you!!! Well done on the video. Straightforward and well explained. Be safe! Randy
+Eric Sharpe I haven't shot IDPA in over a year. I don't know about the dust cover (there are Accu-Shadows without dust covers), and I hear mixed things now about whether SP-01s are considered to have "full dust covers;" but I believe the big thing that makes Accu-Shadows illegal is the barrel bushing.
Don't disable any safety ,if you want to shoot IDPA. Found out 16 hours before my first match that the disabled external safety on my performance center shield, d.q.'d my pistol from any class. I totally understand why, but just hoping to save someone the same trouble. Look up all the rules well before your first match.
Good stuff man. Former Marine just starting out on YT. Any ideas to grow. Trying to give good info out there about shooting. Any help will be appreciated. I have a series in IDPA. Would you want to collaborate?
Sorry guys I'm new to shooting sports but how the fuck shooters use CZ Shadow 2 at both IDPA IPSC when the objective is self defense skills? Who carry a Shadow 2 for CC with that light ass trigger?
The DAA Belt that you used in the video, is it legal for IDPA? I am under the impression that two layer belts are not IDPA legal. Is that correct? Thanks for the video!
That is correct. You will need a standard belt that goes through your belt loops. That being said, you can use a heavy duty belt with a stiff lining (as in the ones designed for conceal carry), and that will work just fine.
Thanks, I have been considering IDPA for a while and this really helps.
Looking to get into a match soon and this was very straightforward and explained what I needed to hear. Great work and content.
Finally, a no BS straight forward video! Thanks !!!!

Great video. Whenever you snapped and a tactical vest appeared, my I liked it.

You're thinking IDPA.
Tim IDPA does not allow appendix carry.

I would like to Compete in Competition Shooting! Rep as a US ARMY Combat Veteran!
ahhh too late for that, but you did not mention the cool shirts and pants with logo's all over
Don't go out and spend all my money on race gear!? Well where is the fun in that!
Nice. Do those blue bullets require any special prep or case lube, or are they simple as loading a plated bullet?
+lon242 No special prep needed. Load them like you would played bullets. I use load data midway between lead and jacket velocities.
Perfect, thanks
Is there any competition civilians can use drop-leg holsters of various kinds in either sport?
You can use a drop-leg holster in USPSA and 3-Gun, though there are some stipulation in the USPSA depending on the division you shoot.
Do you have to shoot frangible or polymer ammo? Only when shooting steel targets? Or not required at all?
You can shoot FMJ, TMJ, Lead, Coated, Plated, etc. No steel core penetrator, "armor piercing " etc. Basically any standard handgun ammo is allowed.
Is it true that in 2017 the CZ ACCU Shadow full dust cover is legal in ESP?

Did you really think disabling a safety device was going to be okay at a gun competition?
Did you? Really?

I'm a beginner.. Where is a good site to get a holster? Thanks for your time..
