Just watched all of your videos on IDPA. Super rad break down. Thank you so much!! When can we expect Pt 7? ;)
Patiently waiting for the next series of IDPA videos....
I just got into shooting sports. but befor that I was knife making, I watched alot of your videos. Now you are doing shooting sports! Perfect
as Bill Jordon noted "speed is fine, accuracy is final"
Thanks very much for all 6 parts. Explained a LOT.
This is a great series. I've been wanting to start competition shooting, and found a range not far away that does monthly IDPA matches. This video series really clears up a lot of my questions and makes it less intimidating to get started.
What a great series, Thank you so much.
Great series. Thank you!
Great series of videos...thanks!
Amazing series! Still helpful in 2023!
Can't wait for more--what a great instructor and explanations. Reminds me of Paul Harrell's vid's.
Another informative video, thanks for creating and posting!
Watched the whole series. Thank you! Very Good!
Really great series, very helpful.
Enjoyed the info on this... Thank's
this is awesome
Very helpful series. Thanks!
Just starting the shooting game thanks for the good information.
2020 and I'm just getting into the sport thank you!
Thank you- that’s helpful intro
Part 7 when?
Good stuff! Practice is good and better than nothing!
Thanks for the info!!!
thank you for the videos. Very Very helpful
Hi Walter, any idea when the next series of IDPA videos will be coming out? Can’t wait! Thanks for all you do.
To play the game, You got to know the rules!
I have shown these videos to a number of people interested in starting the sport, they are super helpful! Just a question, will you ever make the technique videos you mention at the end? Trying to make master here and I'm super interested in your advice!
Very good video intro to IDPA. Did you ever get the other videos done you talked about at the end of this one? I can't seem to find them. Thanks WR.
8:19 Sorry for such a noob question, still a rookie here.
But why divide with 2 on your down score?
Can you wear a Velcro, 2-layer belt in IDPA like you can in USPSA?
Thanks great
this is great stuff. I am considering getting into IDPA. I jest got my first handgun a few weeks ago so it may be a while before I start.
Did you ever get started?
@@CookingWithLivvy no, I still want to do some kind of competition shooting but money has been the pivoting factor.
In the beginning, what was the procedural for?
Hey Walter, are you located in GA? I asked because I've shot with most of the shooters you featured in your videos. GA Firing Line, Stoddards, and I saw a Governers(my home range) shooter as well!
Excellent no bs series: parting shot...(intended) the SO is armed...safety eh? 😜
Want to see more on idpa
I have seen 2 FTDRs in 12+ years. One guy deliberately shot a disappearing moving target through hard cover (a wall) trying to make up shots.
I just attended my first IDPA match. I had 14 procedural errors 🤷🏻♂️
Been interested in IDPA for a while. Great series, if you don’t care about your score or being competitive does shooting a no shoot target matter?
Nah- it just cost you penalty time.
how thick is the steel that u make your knives with
He usually mentions it in his videos
ok thanks
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast
Yeah, wish I could, but I can't since I only have one arm now.
Why not there is a pro shooter with basically no hands? An RO or SO would probably be willing to work with you on a gear set up and a safe methodology for one handed reloads.
+Ahiraband I wouldn't be able to keep to the muzzle down range if I had to cock it on my belt or something. that no handed pro has arms and enough function in his "hand area" to cock the weapon and keep it pointed down range. I shot precision in intra-army competition, and pistol in the same types of competition, but now it's just a hobby as I've got no arm.
+Tyshef it would definitely not be easy to set up. I have a couple ideas that on the uspsa/IPSc would legal for open division as far as being able to chambers a round safely. Admittedly for the moment I'm not coming up with anything feasible on mag changes but you have me thinking hard on it. Have a shoot in a week where I can also brainstorm with the RO/so .
+Ahiraband that'd be cool, in the army we had a squad comp using simmunitions, so the bad guys would shoot back, that was hard.

I'm sure with MD/SO approval you'd be able to compete using something like this.
Kinda funny the most popular gun in IDPA is one that NO ONE carries. Should limit it to 4.25 inch barrel or less.
I am the kid at 9:30
Sounds like too many rules.
