Miss you so much John! Still learning from you. Just grinded through one of your cluster set leg torture workouts last night with my son and daughter. We will give this one a try next week. I’m so glad your channel is still going strong. You were extremely generous in life and continue to touch the lives of so many since your passing. We love you John and wish you eternal peace.🙏🏼✝️❤️
Emotional, when this guy said he dint think he could do it, and the feeling he got when he finished it, men that's an unexplainable feeling of joy, only when you in it you can really understand that
This is my favorite video I've had the pleasure of viewing of John. It's just quite memorable for me. I never got to meet John in person, but I can absolutely say he has been such a great influence to me. Absolute legend, Meadows Rows in his memory, Rest in Peace John Meadows.❤
First time I passed out on legs was 2 weeks ago. A guy at golds woke me up shaking me on the leg press. I was worried then told my friend Dave Dearth and he told me good, you finally joined the big boys. Great video. I do calves first and think I might start doing hams second but need to bring my entire upper leg up. My calves are one of my best growing bodyparts, im lucky.
Damn, John. Compete again? Ur shoulders and chest, arms... definitely impressive...and ur wheels are good. Tighten up that mid section. Ya know, ur a very liked spirit, my friend and if u do compete...wish u the best.
The greatest feeling in the world is waking up early on a Saturday morning and hitting the gym with friends for a beast workout. I don't have friends so I gotta go alone lol
Awesome video John, I loved the song choice for the hack squats, SO EPIC, and really captures the amount of digging you guys were doing, inspiration at its highest! 💪
For tall guys, like 6.1 ft and taller, the hack squat is THE King quad builder along with bulgarian split squats! Regular squat and Leg Presses doesn't allow my to hit me quads as good. However, doing front squats is what I like to alternate with.
Absolutely brutal! Not many of us know what we are actually capable of, natural or otherwise until we do push it beyond what we think we could ever do. Leg day separates those of us who are mere mortals from those who are superhuman.
Awesome video, awesome advice, awesome motivation!! This is for the hardcore, the ones who are truly serious about lifting, love your videos everytime! 🙏💪
Awesome video, thanks again John. If there's one bodybuilder in this world I wish I could have a training session with it you be you my man! Keep going strong
THE MOST REALEST ON RUclips YOU ARE THE MAN REPPING FOR THE MEN 40+ MY NAME SAYS IT ALL MUSCLE OVER 40 FOR THOSE WHO THINK THE GAINZ STOP ONCE YOUR AT A CERTAIN AGE THINK TWICE GET BIG OR GO HOME AINT NOTHING ELSE BETTER THAN A PUMP AND FEELING LIKE YOU’VE ACCOMPLISHED SOMETHING IVE BEEN IN THE GAME FOR 20 +YEARS AND IM NOT TIRED YET SO LETS GET IT KEEP FOLLOWING MOUNTAINDOG HE KNOWS HIS SHIT ON THAT NOTE PEACE LOVE AND GOOD LIFTS
mountaindog1 will do! I’ve done so far gamma bomb, creeping death 2.0 and now PC.. which out of all your programs do you like best? Personally I loved creeping death the most
Hell yeah, John doing a comeback on stage again. Lee Priest might throw his hat in the ring this year as well. I'm guessing it will depend on his recovery from a recent injury that will more than likely take priority for now. Seeing those two competing against each other would be a great event.👍
Yeah, let me rephrase that. The neck injury from 2015 is still very problematic today for Lee. The nerve is still compressed or crushed and the debate is whether or not he should go through an operation or use a stem cell procedure. Probably both. Plus, insurance doesn't want to cover it because it's classified as a pre-existing condition. It's not going well for him to say the least.
Today was my second day at the new gym. This place has some of the same stuff you have. And that squat bar is freeking cool. Way more comfortable. With my shoulder being as tight as it is. Don't tare a rotator
I’ve used hack machines that don’t bother my knees but when they suck forget it cannot use. Love that crazy squat bar I always use safety squat bar I feel it’s easy for me to stay upright. At 50 I’ve gone to squating last usually training calves hamstrings then quads last. I still get up to four plates a side at end of my workout. Life time natty and tip scales at 255. 20% body fat. I’d love to get down to 225.
Those kettlebells look awesome! John, thanks for the great content, once again. Btw, do you think it would be possible for you to put a brief description of the workouts (like exercises, sets and reps performed) in your future workout videos? Thanks again :)
That place is awesome! Like most I'm counting reps as well, but I like that idea of using a timer instead. It would be great if you would elaborate on this, like for how long per muscle group and some sample exercises/super sets/giant sets. Thanks, love your content.
@ John can u please show us garage gym guys a good quad workout with minimal to no equipment except bars and plates and as usual great vid and thanks for the non-BS content!!!!!
get ur done john ... i been doing the platz leg workout again haha did it sunday felt it to thurs then we got a snow storm had to clean drive to 200 ' drive with a snowblower walking ouch lol .. †
Hey JM, I’m in bed nursing my legs after emulating your workout with Evan an I’m thinking, man I can’t wait to try this next workout. I too am making a competitive comeback, im 50 now but more hungry than the 25 year old me Love your channel brother and wiuld love to train with you 👍 Oh did i see Josh having a butt wink on squats? 😂
Great training,👍 BUT What training system is this ? As it's Not high intensity low Sets to total failure and beyond Dorian Yates system or high volume 40sets jay cutler system , what system is this?
When doing hack squats, does it not matter that you have an unbalanced amount of weight on each side? I heard someone break this down somewhere. Responses appreciated!
Sir..for someone who cannot afford to sleep more than 6 hrs(on a good day) and cannot do naps bc of work schedule..what are some of the ways to recover from the training then? Therapy wise , supplement wise and diet wise?? Please help sir PS : now that's a leg workout from hell. Love from India

Beautiful form on your squats John !
Platz proud !

Anthony 1987 how is hack squats better than rear squats?
that was a Crazy Legs workout video, challenging and painful to do most satisfying to finish...!
Awesome video, awesome gym those machines are over the top.
Absolutely brutal! Not many of us know what we are actually capable of, natural or otherwise until we do push it beyond what we think we could ever do. Leg day separates those of us who are mere mortals from those who are superhuman.
John, I think the original Grainster needs to get back onstage, pull the trigger bro! You are a huge source of inspiration for me and many others.
I'd love to see you compete again as well as videos along your journey. If you're confident, I say DO IT ;)

Zer0 Gravity lee doesn’t have a recent injury it’s old and he hasn’t been able to fix it

he's a great dude!
That would put Johns beep machine to good use again ;)
thank you for all you do and have done
Yeah some hack squats machines are an accident wanting to happen. The shear force is just tremendous with taller guys. This one does look nice.
Some hack squat machines are just stupid. And they're the ones you'll see at most gyms
I’ve used hack machines that don’t bother my knees but when they suck forget it cannot use. Love that crazy squat bar I always use safety squat bar I feel it’s easy for me to stay upright. if it took me this long of a drive to get to the gym, then that'll be my workout.
Not gonna lie, but there was that look of bewilderment as you entered the "colosseum" lol.
Those kettlebells look awesome! John, thanks for the great content, once again. Btw, do you think it would be possible for you to put a brief description of the workouts (like exercises, sets and reps performed) in your future workout videos? Thanks again :)

There's an EliteFTS in London, Ohio? How the hell did I grow up, and continue to live, 15 minutes from London and never knew this?
I think because it's private.
