I genuinely believe that the creator of this sequence hates gamers and video games and just included this sequence for the sole purpose of making them suffer.
He has made us run the gaming gauntlet for sure dude. It makes the trophy more rewarding though :p

I think the worst thing about this part on Legend compared to 0 is if you fail, you go all the way to the restaurant instead of a few skippable cutscenes. May God have mercy on me in that part.

Same here! This part is so MF sickening! The hit detection is shit and you barely do any damage but they do loads to you! I can’t even beat it on easy because of the stupid semi- truck and everyone shoots at you at once. You can’t help but take damage!!

I just beat this Chapter, and I must say, it was 10x harder than the Yakuza 0 car chase.
Word of advice to anyone working on this: Follow this helpful video and stay determined, don't ever give up.
Never give up on anything champ, there is always light at the end of the dark tunnel!

HATE. playing on hard. first playtru, first yakuza. i tried it 5 times. after the second death i kinda got the mechanics and came to the part where that guy shoots missles from the truck. after i died the game asked me if i wanna play a less difficult mode. HELL YEAH I WANT. at take 5 i finally came to the obviously last guy sitting in his truck, smiling at my face because he knows no matter what i do i dont have enouth hp on my car or myself to stop the only attack he would be able to do in his small timeframe. and he crashed my car.. so i quit. this is embarrassing. wtf?! i hope there is nothing like this in the other yakuza games. this suxx.

It's not the best level, Y5 remaster just came out today dude, about to pick it up, will probably have a video in a few months if there is something crazy hard
at anyone struggling with killing enemies oneshot:
dont aim for the head, aim for the center of the enemies circle for full damage.
no such thing as headshots in this section

For people on PC who are still struggling with the car chase on Legend, try playing with mouse and keyboard, as aiming is so much easier using a mouse. I had trouble with even the first section using a controller, but I completed it on my first try with mouse and keyboard with no damage taken.
This video was with a controller, I am a lot better at it now too
There's no heat eye button on keyboard

if you're stuck on your 15th or so shot (ha) at this chapter, turn the sound off. you'll panic way less.

After so many tries i've reached the part where the truck driver would ram his ass on mine. Did i get through it? Hell NO but I was so, so close.. Watching this video, I'm gonna give it another go, wish me luck ;;

@@fm.5464 for stopping the truck you have to hit him when the ring goes red, 4-5 times I think, he doesn't ram and backs off. I did a no damage run once and it was insane, I didn't record the footage though
i acc got respect for u doing this on legendary, like im not a master yakuza player but im definitely good, and i simply couldnt touch it on legendary, hell i literally spent 2 n a half hours on this mission on my first playthru on hard.

This was more pain in the nuts than the one in 0, and I thought about relaxing wen seeing a semi instead of a chopper, boy was I wrong.
The stress of fighting the Chinese again also adds to the difficulty. Ain't nobody got time for that
Damn, got this in my recommended even though I haven't played kiwami in a minute, but I remember when I genuinely used to believe they were insane with the helicopter part, then I saw the truck
It's one of the harder parts in gaming that's for sure dude, you can stop the truck if you hammer the driver when the circle turns red
@@Jonn500 yea I think I could probably do this after a couple tries since even though its harder, I can get on 0 and do the legend car chase 1st try, as long as its the same mechanics I would just need to get a little used to their placements and need to be aware of what to expect

This f*cking part took me 4 tries (after guide, before it was about 2 or 3 before I decided to find some help). On the first 3 I didn't even got to the truck driver's part, but on the fourth, when I finally did it, got it on the first encounter, thanks to your tip about holding the L1. Thank you, my friend. Seouldrift7 never give up dude. Trust me my phone rang every time I got to this bit. The frustration of restarting the chapter is horrible. Key is to stay calm. Just pause it if you start to get angry.
With the guys on the truck shoot the middle one and then when the guy is firing rockets, just focus on them and getting rid of the cars. They will eventually stop spawning
Well just so happens a couple of hours after I posted that comment I decided to give it another try and I pulled it off I don't know how but I did. I guess today's my lucky day.

I know this video is 4 yrs old and you probably won't notice over the other comments you probably get, but thank you for this video. Admittedly I still needed to look up another person's video, though this video still really helped, especially the part of focusing on the guy on the right at the beginning of the truck segment, as well as managing the hawk eye and bullets on the next part with the cars/RPGs.

The green circles turn red SO fast, my reticle can't move over there fast enough. I can't believe this got past QA
Try to pause and use the video to work out where the next one is coming from dude, also hit the middle of the circle. Sometimes as it goes red if you hit the middle you can cancel their attack
Just completed this crappy crap of a segment in Legend difficulty and it only took me 2 days (more than 10 retries). Don't forget to always aim at the circle's center and not the head. For better safety, I highly recommend you to keep both your health and the car health at full until the truck part. Take your time in dodging the rockets as well as shooting the guys in their cars and you should still remain unscratched (Don't panic!). Then you will need to tank some of the bullets from the machine gunner because there's 80% no way you could avoid it (prioritize the car health). In the very last part, shoot the driver as much as possible in the circle's center (if you're lucky enough the driver will not ram you but it's honestly random). If you're health is kinda low, take cover in the car as soon as he's about to ram you.

Believe me, I share your pain. I really want to give up on the 1st day but I keep re-encouraging myself and got persistent, thus suddenly won on the 2nd day. This segment is NOT IMPOSSIBLE, it's just EXTREMELY DIFFICULT (even the one in Zero was more human compared to this). Remember to always NEVER GIVE UP and I hope you will succeed!

Also, for some reason, Kiryu seems to want to get back into the vehicle to "reload" even though he's already fully reloaded. This making the enemies shoot up the car at will and I die so fast.
That never happened for me, is your controller fine with other games?
I didn't know the cars and bikes stop spawning at the end with the rockets. That might do the trick for me

There is absolutely no fucking way someone designed this level with these shitty controls and thought to themself “this is totally fine”. I think the worst part is they didn’t even give an opportunity to save the game so i have to just sit there until i beat it or else i’d have to redo the boss again

Hey, just wanted to drop this comment to say thanks for showing me I need to focus down the motor cycles. This was the only thing stopping me from beating my legendary run, I've got everything else down pat. I'm playing on xbox instead of PS4, but the info still applies! This section was torturous for me, I probably failed over 10 times (I'm very good at defeating Lau Ka Long quickly now, lol). Something that I found misleading was that I thought for a long time that you can shoot anywhere in the circle to damage them, but you actually still need to aim for the body to hit them. No wonder I was having so much trouble. Anyways, thanks for the info.

The rocket launcher man on the frikin truck is the bane of my existence 🤣🤣 I avoided fire from the rest and focussed all my shots on him
It's easiest when you take out all the cars first, he's a bit of a prick with that launcher

Just remember to keep cool and take out all of the cars before the front and back shooters on the truck roof, the cars will eventually stop and make it much easier.
You do need to restart on Legendary mode only, but you will get very good at the fight part!

@@halfmoon5034 legendary is stressful as you have to restart the whole chapter if you die, you can stop the truck at the end from ramming you if you shoot the centre of the circle, if you know you will take damage before the truck try to remain outside the car and take Kiryus health, and use the car health for a truck ram :)

Thus just felt like sega reusing their old arcade i.p's for no good reason.
I'm still debating if I should even go for legend, managed to beat this on hard but it took me so long because I always messed up during the truck part, I know how it works now
my main concern is the very last part because the driver rammed me twice before I could kill him on hard but with the damage he does on legend this won't work. I don't know if I have the strength to do it all again if I die at that part.
I absolutely breezed through legend on 0, really didn't expect that they would up the difficulty in kiwami in parts like that so much.
I have managed to do a legendary run with no truck rams, if you shoot the centre of the circle more as the circle turns red you can stop the attack.
This was only my first pass on legendary, others since then I have learnt a lot more.
You can also swap damage between Kiryu and the truck to help tank the hits :)
@@Jonn500 I just did it today after probably around 20 tries during the last 4 days, I was about to give up but somehow managed it with only one ram 😅 my aim is incredibly shit and that's without getting nervous, so this is something I'm never going to do again but I'm glad I didn't give up

I played 0 before kiwami so when I saw the cutscene driving in a highway I just yell NOOOOOO NOT THIS CAR CHASE BS GAMEPLAY AGAIN

@@Jonn500 if you gave up and turn off the game, you gotta do the whole chapter again, after the last run where I lost at the truck driver I just needed to stop

Just did this with the tiniest amount of BOTH Kiryu and car health left by being accurate on the driver at the end enough to stop his first charge. Never give up on a bad run!!
This video came from what I thought was a bad run dude, once you stop stressing because you are only using the run as practice I think it makes it easier to get it done

I think what make this part Hard and a horrible expirience, in any difficulty, is The lack of proper checkpoints after each "big" part.
By the time most people get to the truck they are sweating bullets and the pressure of fighting the Chinese again makes them stuff up
the last guy that's driving the tanker is the hardest part, almost got no damage at least 5 times only to get rolled by that tanker and you have to start the whole chapter from scratch, such troll game design lol

I played all the yakuza games 1-6 in 2020 and last year and currently I’m playing the judgement spin off but I have been considering playing 0 again and maybe kiwami but then I remembered this mission

I think the worst part is the fighting rush before getting a chance to attempt this part again... It's just bad game design lol
It adds to the stress of doing it for sure, if failing only meant restaring the chase it wouldn't be so bad
I played 3 runs on legend then take an hour break; then I memorize all the cars' position relative to the screen and I pass legend difficulties without a problem
Memorising the cars positions is the best for preaiming, nice work dude!
I wish in Kiwami they actually remastered the more outdated parts bc the ps2 era of this game rlly shows, in sections like this its so obvious bc of the absolutely terrible controls and mechanics and 0 checkpoints, this game really grew off me
I think they left it like this to make the platinum trophy stupidly hard
Managed to get it after only 4 deaths which was lucky, the only time I died in Legend mode.
