Going to see them at the Rock and Roll HOF August 19th. It's been over 25 years since I've seen them. I just got over cancer, I'd thought I'd never see them again.
This has to be the tightest GBV lineup ever. and Bob seems to be drinking a bit less during shows and focusing more on his singing (which IIRC Doug has also acknowledged).
I already love this tune. I saw them on the Space Gun tour at Industry City in Brooklyn, only a few minutes bicycle ride from The Bell House- and this version still managed to inspire all these years later. Feels like yesterday, but it was 2017 right?
Kevin Marsh is a GBV veteran, having played on Earthquake Glue and Half Smiles of the Decomposed way back before the break up. I have a DVD of what had been there last show ("The Electrifying Conclusion" it's called) and that's what really familiarized me with him. Awesome drummer for sure. This entire lineup is great. The two new comers are great as well. Loving their output these days.
Gillard is an absolute beast on this.

This is one of the best sounding live GBV tracks I've ever heard.

i know this is old as hell, but was the whole show filmed/recorded this way? these psiphon sessions or whatever are incredible
One of the best live Performances I have Seen in my life. Thank you so much GBV. What a great band.
BOW BEFORE THE GODS OF ROCK
Pete Townshend hasn’t written a song this great in more than 40 years
i wouldnt go that far but hes good. its almost like he wants to be under appreciated
release the full set you cowards !!!! (please???)
This is one of the best songs bob ever made.
Alex Newman rock 'fuckin' roll
This is their most powerful lineup ever.
It’s remarkable how well-preserved Bob is given his lifestyle. Also he sounds like a indie rock Ozzy Osbourne here.
Just saw them here in Baltimore. Damn this song was so electric live.
This performance is a masterpiece :) I want everyone to know but this one I kind of want to keep to myself...
Nice! Great quality. These guys breathe and great albums materialize, a bit jealous.
Get ready for excitement and adventure!
