Another underrated recent-ish GBV-pop-hit number is "Kid On A Ladder".
It suffers a bit for Bob's one-handed drumming and the production, but played with the current live band it's up there with "My Valuable Hunting Knife" or "Game Of Pricks" imo.Ditto for Glittering Parliaments".

He should definitely be in future textbooks for college courses like Popular Music In America, Humanities type courses! On top of his genius, he's a great guy, generous and gracious and just an all around great guy! No matter what's going on, every time me and my buddy meet up with him after a show, he is never not willing to hang with you, give hugs and take pictures and then he does a little Cash Rivers and everyone is dying and that's the kind of guy he is, he just wants you to have a good F-n time or he would be disappointed! By far the most prolific song writer of the 20th Century! People talk about Dylan and Floyd and the Beatles, which by far are all genius, but this guy has done over 100 albums, not songs, 100 + albums, with over 1500 songs probably, he doesn't even remember! AND... he is completely Indie, when you look Indie up in the dictionary, there's a picture of Mr. Pollard! He owes nobody, nothing, ever!! So until another artist comes along that can even so half of that shit, I'd be impressed! Bob you know I love you but I'm saying that you are so far underrated, actually you're not even really known the way you deserve to be known! Anyone who's a GBV fan should always make it a point to turn someone on, you may just change their life?! I grew up with B-1000, Alien Lanes, Propeller, etc. I'd like to think that I've been there to watch them grow and fall apart and now they're back again and the band is whole and tight end it's personality my favourite since the forming of the Mag Earwig lineup, I got to see that begin at the Summer Stage in Central Park with Cobra Verde! And the albums that were made with that lineup was some of the greatest shit ever! My personal favourite has and always will be Universal Truths and Cycles, an absolutely underrated album and you don't hear many people mention it! To me..., that album is written perfectly and you cannot possibly kick anymore ass than what they do on that album, just down right balls out and busting through your front door with a big boot! I really like Isolation Drills too but that was the precursor to UTAC in my opinion!!! Thx Bob for all the years of helping me deal with this insane society we live in!.
