"Just to Show You" is the lead single from Guided By Voices' previous release, 2017's powerful and punchy How Do You Spell Heaven. The song is vintage GBV: a catchy, memorable melody paired against a mesmerizing lead guitar line and a hypnotic beat.
Performed here live, the song takes on a little more weight than in the recorded version, with the drums and guitars taking on a heavier tack, and Pollard's voice rawer. The song is beautifully performed, enhancing an already strong single from a recent GBV release.
