I've been taking without labs or urine testing because 90 percent of mainstream doctors of idiots and don't know or are scared to test, I started taking 50-75mg daily. Finally my heart rate has stabilized. I am having detox symptoms as expected and that's from the bromide. To advise people not to take that amount is just wrong. AT that amount they'll just piss it out if they're tissues and glands are saturated with the iodine.

That Iodine gel is called betadine. Years ago, while in a hospital, I heard of a case where a lifelong disabled person who needed multiple surgeries became allergic to betadine from the use of it to prep for surgery. I think that's why it isn't used as much anymore. It's interesting how Iodine is used to disinfect things. I was using a dropperful of Lugol's Iodine in my wash water basin to disinfect fresh vegetables I was using for juicing and for salads. I alternated with using a 1/8 cup of diluted food grade hydrogen peroxide. I used to take 2 to 6 drops of Lugol's Iodine in my juices daily, along with 60 mg of Armour Thyroid. I did this for 3 years. Now my thyroid is better, and I switched to putting a heaping Tablespoon of Dulse in my smoothies.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! Now I understand why when I took for the first time ever taken Lugos. I took 10 drops and it sent me into a moderate thyroid storm . Where I had to once again add back a high Blood Pressure medication until I stabilized over a course of a few days. I restarted the logos with 3 drops and worked up to five rops In water each day and now I seem to be doing fine. 10 drops was way too much to start off at. I believed this one little nodule that I have soaked it up so quickly It sent me into a moderate thyroid storm.

I have been taking 1000 mcg for quite some time. I do not use regular table salt but use sea salt

I don't think that's correct. I know that 16 drops of 5% solution is 100mg which makes it 6,25 mg per drop. There are charts online.

Rubbing Lugol Iodine into a dry skin patch on my elbow got rid of it in about 4 months

No. I take upwards of 2000mcg a day and don't experience side effects. They also sell collodial nascent iodine.

Don't take anything intended for external use. It's toxic. Only take the stuff intended for internal use.
