From kids with juice to liquid nitrogen to melted chocolate, the gadgets of Always On have taken some real beatings. Here are the five most durable gadgets we've ever tested. - Развлечения
I think the real winner here is the GoPro that was filming all the closeups.
Don't you hate when your gadget falls into nitrogen or when that half ton rock just falls on it. i have had many reasons to to glue skate wheels to my tablet and the go for A pizza run. i have turned my phone in a chocolate bar many times. thx cnet
wow... nostalgia. I remember watching this series years back :,(
Sammme
Molly was my idol
frr
My phone survived a 2 foot drop onto my bed. Almost had a heart attack.
But it landed on your bed so it wouldn't of broke
Luke Skeggs-Bennett That's the sarcasm behind it dumb ass.
Once I left my Ipod Nano 7 in the pocket of my pants, stayed in the washer for 3 months and went through like 90 loads and survived. Listening to it on the over ear headphones my brother took a hammer to, sounds great. I am typing this on the tablet that got hit by the winning home run for the little league world series. Who needs cases for their devices when they can stand that kind of torture!? My devices go through a lot.
Did you do it on purpose or was it an accident?
Muzic Kauldhar Accidents, of course.
Jacob Paniagua no it was on porpose
Dropped my iPod touch 5g in water... I actually think it works better than it did before 😸
I doubt that.
I WANNA SEE THE UNDESTRUCTABLE BRICK... THE NOKIAAAA
Iknow I can see it in your eyes, but they had to give credit to the others.Besides, if they put the Nokia on, they will just say it's a fake
I can break a Nokia just by hitting it on my knee
i think the new indestructable phone is the iphone 6s, if you can repair tech. water damaged 6s been in water for hours and hours. cleaned the motherboard and worked just fine
Some processors allow you to overclock at insane speeds, but requires Liquid Nitrogen, which actually doesn't damage components.
Water actually purified doesn't hurt electronics, its the impurities that hurt it.
The iPad really Rocks!
But, will it blend?
Meatball Wannabe I'm sure they all will.
Wouldn't it be awesome if CNET hired people that actually knew something about manufacturing or technology?
Do you not realize these videos aren't supposed to be scientific
what kind of washer and dryer was that with the galaxy s3 test. I need something small like that.
Freeze iPad 3 in nitrogen and drop it from atleast 12 feet onto hard surface...
Somehow normal people still manage to break them from 3 foot drops
Ya just the screen dumb ass
Jadon Nau Other things could be damaged dickwad
Jadon Nau You really have no idea about any components that wopuld be fucked over if you dropped it.
Exactly
Lol.
that ipad 3 can only survive the test. My dad's old Motorola brick phone can re-spawn lol!!!
forgot to mention the number one gadget is the go pro
its already there before...
go pro 1.
and my iPad 3 got a major cant just anymore crack in it from a 4 foot drop.. whats the deal? i don't get it..
What was the song used for number 2 at 7:52?
I've had an iPhone 4 for the last 3 years, I drop it at least three times a day. Only issues are a few scratches on the back and the on / off button disconnected o.o
I can drop my iPod Touch from 2 feet and it will get the spiderweb screen shatter... wut
Happened to me ...haha
8:06 "I'm right here"?
was she trying to comfort the phone LOL
OMG I have a macbook pro (non retina) but only 2 years old and my screen cracked from sitting my patio in humid 90degree weather.. didnt get wet, didnt drop it nothing kept it safe with a case on it and its falling apart and has a crack in screen.. so sad..
Where is Nokia??
Product placement overpowers the truth :P
tagtag123 They clearly said "top 5 toughest gadgets THEY'VE tested"
Thomas Torrissen So...they've never tested a Nokia??
KungFuPotato's Lego Channel correct
***** However, it's quite strange how they haven't tested a Nokia yet. I think they should they'll find themselves pretty impressed...... hopefully....
dont drop a nokia 3310 in your house it will destroy your house
william martin,no way,you are joking
@@mrsHongki1 no, he's being serious. I dropped a 3310, and now half of my house is destroyed.
i love the way you had the gopro in everything but the list
Can u guys test out Sony Xperia V? Because I had dropped it many times
You guys are armatures at breaking things.
Last time i checked no one puts their iPad in nitrogen..
Canuckspur Apparently you don't know how to fuckin google techrax has is pretty good at breaking shit
Svp tra fiction en français merci
jean gruel never
Canuckspur actually everyone puts their iPad in nitrogen because air is 78% nitrogen. No puts their iPad in liquid nitrogen
BEST use of a Mac book.
Can u use liquid nitrogen on xperia z ultra
I think the go pro deserves number one because you see it does all the tests with the gadgets and still survives
what, ipad is the winner? what about gopro then?
Well they kind of use to film most of the torture test close ups...
Gopro is made to crash, Freeze and extreme heat.
guys are right. it's pointless to test something that's designed to work in extreme conditions. there are some phones that can survive a gunshot (they are designed to do that, covered in layers of metal and kevlar and are almost as big as a brick). i'm pretty sure those can survive any test from this show.
edit: phones i previously mentioned have custom made cases, not saying the phone itself can withstand a bullet by its own and still work. however there are smartphones (obviously they get damaged beyond repair) that can stop a bullet (usually small calber) by themselves, due to the fact that components in smartphones are placed in a layered fashion, each layer dissipating some energy from the bullet).
andrei87x So is Obama's secret service's umbrella, it can take a few bullets.
So Apple can make their devices survive liquid nitrogen, yet they cannot be dropped without cracking the screen?! why. lol
Wes Jerentosky boi
Can you toture test the Samsung gt-s5600v and the lg km900. Will the phone's break? Impussibru
You know I had my ipad 3 in a keyboard case and still when it fell off the counter from only 3 feet high the entire screen and bezel shattered. Good thing target has a great warrantee policy.
where is Nokia 3310???
its not even released on 2013
they haven't tested it
TheJedi1122
like many people are
It's a bit dangarous for dropping..
Do not try destroy something indestuctable...
...you may destroy yourself :P
Did anyone else notice that they subjected a Gopro camera to the 'extreme' conditions that they put other devices through - knowing full well that it would be fine? So doesn't the Gopro actually win #1 because they knew it wouldn't be affected?
***** Exactly - If it is good enough to be used for recording under the same conditions as the objects being tested, it certainly deserves some recognition.
I agree, as far as I'm concerned, the GoPro is one of or if not the toughest gadget out there
GoPro is built for toughness unlike these devices. You don't use your iPad as a camera while snowboarding on the top of a mountain at subzero temperatures or you don't use your macbook pro while surfing. GoPro needs to be tough. If it wasn't tough, it would be a handheld camera, not an action camera. They are not reviewing products that are built for hard usage. If they did, there would be survival gear on top 5, not gadgets that you use daily.
PrimorisOrdo With your logic why would they use that surf camara then. After all thats its design is to last in extreme conditions
PrimorisOrdo Yes you do use your macbook pro while surfing the web
Every test you've done a GoPro has been in the same consequences and survived every time I think the go pro should've had a mention
Could the Mac Pro and Ipad survive the foot stomp or fist pound test.
Whoa liquid nitrogen....
No no
Stop
What are you trying to prove here
That a Mac book can survive if a giant stone gets on it
Give ME the mac book I can treat it with proper care
Dionisie Tarlev Don't be such a fool the company is just too rich XD
Dionisie Tarlev I accidentally sat on my macbook pro and it broke.
Exactly
i dont understand how did the ipad survived if i drop mine once and it got broke pretty easy =/
I fell and my iPhone 4S fell 2 metres through the air and landed face down in some stones, well, it was completely cracked, but still working
My sister broke her iPad 3 with her teeth by biting it
My friends baby sister did that once XD
get her the $50 Amazon Fire 7 Tablet
Its me ur sister
------------------------
l $1!
I can't help but cringe every time they try to hurt it...
What is the song at the start? Anyone?
Okay my mom dropped and iPad 3 once and literally the entire screen was shattered cracks all over the screen and now I get one tiny drop of sweat on it and the screen flips out
My sister has dropped her iPod so many times and it's fine and I drop mine once the whole screen cracks....😑🔫
Oh my god same! Like what the hell!
Iphone 5s vs lava.
Can't buy lava in us
How does the Macbook survive when you can't even see anything on the screen except odd colors from the LCD cracking?
I lost my iPhone 5s at my friends house this past Halloween and it was on their neighbors lawn face up for two days in the rain. They found it and plugged it in and it worked fine. I still have it to this day, almost 10 months later and I have not found any problems with the phone!
Yeah... sure. It had nothing to do with rolling down a hill, did it? Hmmmm....
huh? I have no idea what u are talking about... Rhys Forster forster
nokia 3310 - meh, child's play
you should torture test a iMac 2013 27 inch non retina display
why the hell would you cary your iMac in public 0.o
I know what you mean, but like... iMac is not made to be durable. These are devices made to be durable and take damage. You could like drop your iMac from 5 feet and it would break....
And I am not hating on iMac or apple. I own one and love it.
lol
i just wanna see it get broke lol its seem like it would be awesome and btw its fine and what if it fell off the desk lol
Well yea, if it fell off the desk it would most likely brake. It's a pretty heavy computer and I don't know if the screen can handle the weight.
What channel does this show air?
can you do the drop hammer test on ipad 3
Nokia 3310
yeah
#1
I can break a Nokia 3310 just by hitting it on my knee
Bullshit! I could brake all those things
Snapquz Consoleorpc Yea the mac book air im using for school i could snap in 2 LOL its not even an inch thick!
XD
Yea, that's why you spell break, "brake"
+Snapquz Consoleorpc I can "brake" your literacy future B)
Break*
i have the s3 and its got a few cracks cause i keep dropping it
Is iPad 3 same as iPad mini and iPad?
These guys are annoying af trying to be original
I wished that the description had the links to all of the top 5 vids! It's kinda lazy to go find it one by one!!
I've knocked the ipad 2nd gen screen loose so many times, I always find the best way to fix is to repeatedly smack it over my knee till the screen comes back on, then do it until the screen stops shaking from a loose connection.
Did they do each test for all devices??
Funny thing is my ipad 4 was in my bag, bag didn't move at all and wasn't dropped or anything, yet the screen still managed to crack through the case and ipad bag inside backpack
9:24 - What music is this?
I did a coffee test on my iPhone 3GS and it surrived and the sound was in mute
ipad mini/ipad mini 2 see witch one is stronger (when ipad mini 2 comes out)
i was worried that if that if i ever accidentally drop my ipad in liquid nitrogen and then accidentally drop its like ten feet onto cement that it wouldn't work anymore, good to know that it would still work.
Someone stepped on my laptop and the same thing happendd from the macbook at the end the screen was really random ane my dad says it us very expensive to fix it and I am not getting a new laptop and I don't think he is gonna fix it
I guess it depends on the way u drop it because I dropped it once at hip length and it completely shattered and it wasn't that hard
I done my iPad Air some thing he wants im using a 10ft swimming pool and drop test the ipad air somewhat stand it its kinda broken but it powers on but the touch is not working glass is broken somewhat and the back casing woah... It hasent broke two ipad you should buy
iPad 3 (Mid-2012) and iPad with Retina Display (Late-2012) still the same but the thing is Late and Mid
iPad Air
Air 2 has touch id so it might malfunction
I love my iPod Shuffle. I have an iPod Touch but its nothing too special for me. The only negative point I could find about the Shuffle is that its so small and lightweight its too easy to loose.
I remember my friends sad leaving his note 2 on top of his car because he was rushing. He heard a bump over the roof of his car. Realizing that his phone was left on the highway, he just bought a new one right away.
I wonder if switching the screen on the iPad 3 would fix it?
That Chocolate test really got me to buy an Xperia.. and I did just yesterday :D Switched my iPhone~
The iPad not only survives liquid nitrogen, but my friend's iPad survived a fire, that melted the case it was in
My Friends dad(who ia a extreme traveller) drop his iPad three from a gondola going to the rocky mountains.
It was a nine kilometer drop
Benedict Ardianto Not possible - that would be a 5.6 mile drop. Mount Elbert (Colorado) is the highest peak in the Rockies - and we're talking about a height of 2.73 miles ABOVE SEA LEVEL (not height above surrounding area). And I highly doubt there's a lift going all the way to the top of that mountain in the first place.
Please try again.
I can't believe that the S3 survived. I put my S6 edge through the wash by accident and it was a brick. It wouldn't even turn on. I did get a new phone, Note 5, but I still can't believe a phone that was the great grandfather of my phone survived while mine didn't!
Whatever you did to the ipad 3 u should do the same thing with the ipod touch 5th gen
"dented the cement" ??? what do you think of the ipad 3.. nokia 3310???
How do you call the MacBook survived!? Honestly the screen was completely messed up and it is NOT usable
It doesn't really surprise me the the iPad survived the liquid nitrogen test. Electronics (with the exception of the battery and possibly the LCD) actually run BETTER cold. Now the drop test though, that's thoroughly impressive!
I have the Huawei Ascend G330 and i tryed some stuff but i can't destroy it. i throw it in hot sand, on stoneplates and on Wood but only some of the colering has gone. i've put it in water and even today it's working. besides that it's 2 Years old and look nearly new.
By the way, the huawei Ascend G330 is a smartphone.
since the macbook retina is made with aluminum the way they scratched it i guess they can just rent a buffer to polish the macbook
u guys should totally test waterproof cameras & the dslr torture tests.
plzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Have you ever tested the go pro, I know you own at least two :-)
How come my Galaxy S3 cracked on carpet from falling out of my pocket when leaning back on a chair that was only 1 foot high.
You should see what breaks a go pro or action cam that would be fun to watch.
I know it might be childish, but is there any chance you could test how tough the new hand-held gaming systems are, 3ds, 2ds and 3ds XL... since buying that for one self is kinda not a big deal, but if a kid plays with it, how much torture can that thing take....
My iPhone 5s has been thrown across a restaurant kitchen, accidentally fell into a pot of boiling water, it's been planted, frozen in the freezer for more than a few hours, oh and my dad recently ran it over with his 2500 Chevy Silverado... One of the best investments I've made so far. THANKS APPLE!! :D
i had a ipod touch 2g and it had 3 big dents on the back from dropping and I would chuck it down a full flight of steps atleast once a day and the screen never cracked.
how about a wreck test on a sony duo13 with the bullet proof CARBON FIBRE chasis???
Is there a difference between a iPad 2 and 3
As far as the externals go, They are basically both the same. The internals are what make the difference. The iPad 3 has an Apple A6 Chip while the iPad 2 has an A5. Now don't forget that the iPad 4 has the same exact externals as the 2nd and 3rd gens. You wouldn't really know the model unless you looked up the serial number. I'm sure they would all survive if they were all put through the same tests. I own an iPad 2 myself and it's good to know that it's really durable. I've never dropped it and I have it in a case but for a touch screen device to survive through all those tests is really amazing. I also own a Microsoft Surface RT and a Kindle Fire HD (2012 version) which are also in cases. I've heard the RT has Gorilla Glass 2. Gorilla Glass is excellent and it really helps prevent scratches and cracks. I have screen protectors on all of my devices mostly for ant-glare purposes. Hopefully They last a few years! :D
"Oh hey, lets just set this heavy ass rock on it, Ya! that should break it!"
I was yoyoing with a metal yoyo and my I pad mini was in the way and it hit my I pad giving it an ugly scratch on the screen
That guys face tho at the end 😂😂
So me and my girlfriend decided to test her old t mobile concord. We threw it off a two story balcony on cement only thing that happened was the camera lens cracked. We than tumbled it down cement stairs where it cracked into a brick wall. The screen did not crack and the concord still works.
My iPad 3 is covered in scratches on the back just from having a dodgy case for like 2 years but I've probably dropped out of a moving car and it's still fine!!
I have it in Mint Condition with a Otterbox Defender case, not a scratch, dent or crack, best case ever
my friend once decided to throw my iPad out of a window on the second floor, apart from a few dents it was fine, it had no case on it either so I was really surprised
My iPad 3 fell of 4 feet on the screen, the charger was bent but the screen didn't, I fixed the charger and it worked
The rock testing with the Macbook was a good idea.
hi i have a ipod 5 and one time i threw it on the wall and nothing bad happend to it
And the gopro that was in all the tests apparently (and always stayed in one piece) was less durable than the ipad that shattered into a million pieces?
Omg I remember watching the always on videos memory’s
