Hi Jackie! Ok so we are schedule for our wedding in June, 2023. This is gonna be a little update of things, since you did your wedding. Btw, your video is amazing!! And now i am freaking ouT about the cost for alcohol per head 😅🤣. We got one of the simply packages for 26 people, since our wedding is only for around 50p, maybe will go down as people started to cancel on us. The extra people will cost us $160adult, $40child. But now I am wondering is does $160 includes the alcohol or no 🤔😳 definetely going to ask. Now is not 10 room/3villas minimun, now they calculated base on double occupancy 70% of the guests, to come up with a number of rooms you are required to block(they told me 70% are required to stay, and then an email said 100%, which I heavely argued and ended up getting to an agreement of 70%. Other 30% of guest not staying, which will be locals that lives 15 minutes away, dont have to pay a fee to get in and attend the wedding, if someone wanted to know) So in our case 18 rooms, we can let go a certain % of rooms, while dates get closer, but if some one the guests decide to rent airbnb and not get the rooms/villas we blocked for them, we will end up paying for those rooms if we passed the time they allow us to let them go, even if they end up to be empty. I grew up in La Romana, and I studied Art in their School of Design in Chavon (since little girl I always dreamed of getting maried there) fiancee is from Miami (so half of my guest are locals and others will flight there like you). In regards to the fees, 1k is charged outside photographer (which is a relief for me, since my dream photographer actually is part of their vendors 🥵) but yeah any other vendors is like you said a 25% fee or paying a room for them. Our prices for june, 2023 (which falls in their low season) is 254p/n (28% tax included). I decided to go with one of their cheapest packages (rustic chic) since it is starts with the vibe I am going for, but since I want to costumized A LOT OF THINGS, I knew prices will go up real quick. We had many interviews with top top wedding planners in DR to more of not so known WP (looking at different venues) and our budget rapidly increase double when we found out that having the wedding we want, it was not gonna be that cheap like we thought 😅😆 but we are more than excited and cant wait. The alcohol part of getting them from outside that it would be cheaper, a WP gave us that idea when we were interviewing her to do the wedding there but using an external WP. ALSO they already charged us for the block of rooms, but havent got our link to book, and responses are soooooooo frustrating cause they are taking forever, my fiancee just keeps telling me "be polite, dont go all dominican on them please" I have 0 patience lol. Sometimes I feel ignore. I HOPE THAT CHANGE. If anyone has any question, feel free to ask me. Unlike Jackie, she is beaituful to make a video and talk in front of the camera 🥰.
Omgosh congrats!! This detail will be really helpful for people. As you mentioned, policies and fees change! What it once was for me is already different. People ask me constantly and I want to refer them to the right person!
@@jackiemoreta as you mentioned at the end of the video, is a lot more expensive to go with a external WP to get married in CDC. And you were totally right, some people might have a wayyy bigger budget or no budget at all, and thats fine. However, just like you, we do have a budget 😆😅 and we couldnt justified paying extra mega cost to have an external WP. So we went directly with CDC and I guess they will assign us a wp. However, the top notch WP that are good with destination wedding in DR, we interviewed ICCDominicana, Novella, GDMevents (this one is more on the Cap Cana side), and if you dont have a budget at all, ClaireDuran is the bomb at weddings in CDC as an external WP, but her minimun in budget is 150k. 🤭🥴We also interviewed more of smalls wp companies and more local to La Romana, but you do need to pay 1k fee to CDC to have a external wp, plus put an account to all extras fee from every outside vendor that your wp will bring. Like you mentioned in you video. It can add up very quickly. Hi Jackie, thank you so much for these amazing tips! My financé and I are planning our wedding there next year and your video was super helpful. I have a few questions, 1) Did you use a travel agent? If not, did the resort make the booking process easy for the guests? Do you think it will make a difference to use a travel agent or book directly with the resort? 2) Do you know if guests who use the airbnb option would be counted as part of the 70 or 80% of guests required to stay at the resort to host a wedding? Thanks for your help!
Hi Mildred! Congrats on your engagement ❤️ None of my guests used a travel agent if I remember correctly. Might be because I did so much research beforehand that they didn’t need to. I think booking with the resort is super easy but I’ve never worked with a travel agent so I can’t say if that’s better. As for the 70-80% guests portion, I don’t remember that being a requirement. Especially because some of our guests lived in DR, they drove back to their house the night of the wedding. But I can tell you that air bnb is not included in any booking fee requirement. When I needed to book the 10 rooms or 3 Villa minimum, that was booking that needed to be done directly through the Resort at THEIR rate. Hope that helps!

I’m starting to check out other venues but all the all inclusive do not allow anyone not staying to go to the event. It’s been tough.
Hi Emely, Congrats on your engagement :) Yes, it's certainly difficult at times to find the right venue, especially with traveling guests etc. With everything I spoke about here, exactly how I did my wedding, we were a bit over your budget (I'd say 10K more). That doesn't include extra things like my dress, hair and makeup, and other vendors I paid for separately. What I always recommend in this case, if you really fall in love with a venue, is to try and cut the guest list. It's the cost per head that adds up quicker than you can imagine! I hope this helps :) I'm certain where ever you have your wedding it's going to be a dream!
Hi Cynthia i don’t remember the pricing but that should be a simple thing they can give you if you call! I remember the prices being better than what I did which was totally outside the package.
@@jackiemoreta but with some vendors you have unlimited alcohol for the night because you don’t know if everyone will drink or how much each person will drink
Totally! So It’s really hard to estimate with all the variables, BUT putting an average on it and getting a similar result as mine (two venue spaces, band, DJ, outfits, hair, makeup, food, alcohol, cocktail hour, decor and all) excluding hotel and travel costs! I’d say you’re looking at 40K. You could cut corners and if it was 40 people maybe get down lower but that would be my very realistic estimate. Hope that helps!
i am planning to have my wedding in November, i saw your wedding video, it was beautiful, can you provide the name of your videographer and photographer
Tips are good but Where can you find a 200 a night Villa at La Romana.. ??I am Dominican. You don't find a 14 people Vila for 200 dollars there that is a posh area in DR. Where did you get this info?
Unfortunately a lot has changed when I reached out to casa de campo. They require all guests to stay, minimum 3 nights if theyre international guests. The cost is really high for the guests to stay there in my opinion, almost $400/night per person and its not even all inclusive!
Wow that’s crazy. The 3 night minimum was the same for me but it wasn’t for all guests, it was 10 rooms OR 3 villas. The rate they gave you was 400$? Per room?
@@jackiemoreta the price varies per season and how many people in each room, but yes about $400 each person who is coming internationally even when there is double occupancy. it would be cheaper with triple occupancy (i think an additional $40 per night) but still way too overpriced in my opinion for NOT all inclusive. For local guests they only required 1 night minimum stay. I tried to see if they could be lenient with the number of people that are required to stay, but they remained firm that everyone must stay at the hotel.

@@jackiemoreta why do you have to pay a corkage fee per person? And who do you have to pay that to?
So million dollars question, what’s a realistic budget for 40-50 people? :)
@@jackiemoreta definitely helps! Thank you so much!
Very useful video. Thank you! What is the cost for a 100 guest wedding in casa de campo that looks like yours (an average). Thank you!!!
Glad it helped! I would say around 50-55k
@@jackiemoreta Agreed with Jacky on the budget, this was the average cost for about 110 guests.
Approximately how much per person was it for your guests?
About 125
i am planning to have my wedding in November, i saw your wedding video, it was beautiful, can you provide the name of your videographer and photographer
Yes, my photographer was Ricardo Enrique and my videographer was vikingo films. Check in the description for their info 😊
Michael Jackson married there. Same country, same place, same church in Casa de Campo
Tips are good but Where can you find a 200 a night Villa at La Romana.. ??I am Dominican. You don't find a 14 people Vila for 200 dollars there that is a posh area in DR. Where did you get this info?
There were a small few available in casa de campo. Probably closer to 400$ though!
Air bnb
Hola JM bendiciones
Me gustaría saber algo sobre tu Boda
¿Fue necesario hospedar personas en el hotel para poder hacer tu ceremonia en alto de chavon?
Hola Deyvi, si es necesario. 10 habitaciónes o 3 villa será el mínimo
Yes! I received the same information. It’s unfortunate that can cause people to have to go with another venue. Not all guests are able to pay so much.
Kukua in Punta Cana did an amazing job and replied quickly… I would recommend it to anyone
We inquired about a wedding and received the same information that all guests must stay in the hotel.
He soñado con una boda allí, pero por más que trabaje, y tambien mi novio ,no podré alcanzar ese presupuesto, Dios 😭
Dios ayúdame 😭
Hi Jackie, video was super dope and appreciated. My fiance and I have just paid the deposit for a July 23' wedding. We would LOVE to pick your brain and possibly pay to work with you on a few things. Would love to discuss further if you're possibly interested.
