It’s very possible because I’m Doing it right now. My dress was $39.99 from Goodwill with original $700 David’s bridal tags and I sewed in my own corset. I am getting married in a church fellowship hall for $600. I diy’d all of my centerpieces, bouquet, and boutonnières using Temu, Dollar tree, and hobby lobby discounted items. My bridesmaids party got wrap Amazon dresses and my flower girls got Amazon dresses.

🦄 love you! What a great video. My good tip, if you’re on a small budget… try to find an all included banquet hall. Not sure if they still exist but, they pretty much do everything for you. Food, music, open bar, decorations, cake, etc… this only works if you’re ok with what they offer. Sometimes they’ll have a smaller room for the ceremony but, it’s not necessary to rent that. You can just do your ceremony in the same hall. Everyone sitting at their tables, probably having a drink. Super relaxed. 😉😊

Great id Fir eas. I would say the selection of the wedding party takes a little more thought. First it does not have to have equal numbers or gender specific for the bride/groom sides. Second, you need to consider what will be the consequences about picking people. Ie you picked 4/5 on your hockey line - is that going to cause an issue with the fifth person and or team. CAn you live with it. What do you expect from your wedding party. If you are "ranking" your friends and family is there someone one spot lower but is the person you know who will support you wel and maybe do stuff to help the wedding. Ie guys the friend who may not be the most "traditionally" fun because they are the nice guy who will cook, clean, organize, drive the drunks maybe they would be good to hoour and you know you can count on them. Picking your wedding party will hurt people; you may not know it (and worse you may find out) but be consierate or be prepared to live with the consequence. Also, write out on cue cards all the leements of the wedding - flowers, invites, food, drinks, dj, rings, honeymoon, printing, entertainment, special decor, legal fees, officiant, rentals phtography etc then rank them in order of significance to you. This will affect how to budget. Trthfully if you are budgetting the dress is one of the biggest areas to save. Look at how you can transform a dres with jewelry, appliques, overlays etc. Brides are beautiful already. Fir tge fkiraks tiy cab fubd ab artustuc oersion they can take a part church flowers and use it for reception Ie the faux garland on head table with the greens prelaid out to look like a garland but really just placed greens. Insert flowers no longer used from the church and voila. No one will know it isn't tied together Unless they stupidly touch them or try to move them. Many a weddings I take roses from the church and break them apart to use their petals for the tables and around the cake. And remember in the end it is about two amazing people celebrating their love - you don't need a lot when you have real love.
Weigh out both options objectively! Which one is cheaper? Will it clash with the overall theme? Etc. then just reflect on who is getting more of what they want. If my fiancé asks for something, it’s probably going to happen because I’m in control of pretty much everything else 😂
