That's just insane. Here in Germany nobody cares for churches/religion anymore. The services are only visited by the elderly people. We do them only in those typical old churches buildings. There's of course none of this expensive broadcasting stuff. Only the pastor is sometimes miced up. Generally Germans services are conservative, singing old songs with choirs and stuff. No band playing.
A large number of new Protestant sects were created in America over the last 100 years and they made all these radical changes. Germany seems to have retained Catholicism and the early Lutheran church.

Please How many Cameras do they use for English Service because the Camera on Steadicam for the drummer didn't add to the 8 counted, making it 2 cameras on stage for instrumentals? And again the camera at the back top "the Western Side" that gives slider movement. for me I think its 10 cameras or do they relocate cameras? Thank You...
The time I was there it was right after the English service it was 8 cameras, but you are right they move cameras from one place to another depending on the needs. They certainly own more than 8 cameras it’s just on their multi view and CCU you can see they are showing 8.
Watching Lakewood Church on Sunday is like a concert to me. In India service start at night around 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm. When Joel's mentioned that he was working behind the scenes TV production before his father went to be with the Lord, i always wanted to know how it look like behind the scene but i never in my wildest dreams thought it would be that huge and many people working behind to realise the final good. What a way to show God’s enabling grace. In contrast, we are a small church here in The Philippines…and if it wasn’t for the pandemic we will never venture into online live services. We use two cellphones and a laptop…and it works as needed. Hahahaha.

I was working at another Church at the time "Worship Tabernacle" in Humble Texas The Pastor his name is Roy Chapman has the gift of healing so I was doing a Show and Videos for their Ministry and I absolutely Love the way they Produce The Shows at Lakewood! I was sitting in The Video Control Room working The Service Live seeing Joel on the screen and thinking to myself all the times I heard Joel say on TV “When you keep God in first place, He will take you to places you’ve never dreamed of...I felt The Holy Sprit touch me and I started getting watery eyes...It was Awesome! I so Thankful to God!

Tbh.. for such an expensive setup and professional mix engineers.. their online mix really is not that great.. There are plenty of much smaller churches that sound wayyyy better. All the equipment in the world can't compensate for the engineer who is mixing. The goal should be to make the online mix sound like your in the building but more controlled. But Lakewood's online mix sounds like I plugged straight into the house mixer and added one ambient mic. It's always extremely vocal heavy. Sounds like the singer is singing his heart out and the band is just chilling in the far back of the mix.

I am always amazed (and kind of jealous of) by how much attention westerners pay to details and precision. Nothing is left unattended. See how large the media team is for God's sake, you wouldn't expect less from them.

@@samdon79 If I were you I would look into a digital mixer, more future proof and gives you a lot of flexibility. You can find the Behringer X32 for cheap and it’s a great mixer to have as your first digital console

I am everything at my church, and own all the equipment. So, cameras, audio, video switchers, software, networking, everything...I run it solo as we have no volunteers. It is interesting to see it on such a large scale....no way to automate all that and run solo for sure. Even in my job trying to monitor cameras during service, make all the broadcast switches, create all the graphics during the week, and running GFX all at the same time by myself, I had to get creative in setup and tools used to bring it all together. I only use 4 screens at my operator station. It helps that I do large scale corporate AV gigs, but it is amazing to see the sophistication of Lakewood's setup, and all the team members they put together.
Your tour was sensational. I am overwhelmed by your show. The broadcast system of Lakewood Church even rivals those systems of big and sports broadcast television stations. The time between services for you to record this show was the right time for you. I became interested in sound reproduction since I had my first high fidelity components system in 1978. I have wanted to see a radio station, a recording studio, even a television station. Not only I am pleased to learn about this from a [black] man, but also from a gentleman, indeed. As a gentleman, you are capital! I am very impressed.

Unless a video is a full service length broadcast with countdowns and all that "live" stuff including the "streamed live" YT note under the video I always assume it is edited.
The Lakewood services are always live if they say they are live. They only repost the sermon later but the live service is always streamed live. Yes they are that Excellent.

It’s been a while since I have been there but 8 cameras can’t be right unless they have moved some of them or they multi uses. They had a camera on the upper level on the same type tracks shown unless they brought that down to the main floor. Also they had a guy ina chair getting audience shot which also could maybe be doing double or triple duty.
Hello it’s likely they have more than 8 cameras, and you are right there is an angle they use less often from the upper level and some other additional angles that we see rarely however the main camera number is 8 if you look at the multiview and the CCU’s . Thanks for watching

Honestly I was visiting the church and I asked one of their media guys they were so generous they said yes. I am not sure if you can just send an email. Best way is if you live in the region try to attend one of their services and get to talk to someone

@@samdon79 If I were you I would look into a digital mixer, more future proof and gives you a lot of flexibility.
You can find the Behringer X32 for cheap and it’s a great mixer to have as your first digital console

I am everything at my church, and own all the equipment. So, cameras, audio, video switchers, software, networking, everything...I run it solo as we have no volunteers. It is interesting to see it on such a large scale....no way to automate all that and run solo for sure. Even in my job trying to monitor cameras during service, make all the broadcast switches, create all the graphics during the week, and running GFX all at the same time by myself, I had to get creative in setup and tools used to bring it all together. I only use 4 screens at my operator station. It helps that I do large scale corporate AV gigs, but it is amazing to see the sophistication of Lakewood's setup, and all the team members they put together.

The time between services for you to record this show was the right time for you. I became interested in sound reproduction since I had my first high fidelity components system in 1978. I have wanted to see a radio station, a recording studio, even a television station. Not only I am pleased to learn about this from a [black] man, but also from a gentleman, indeed. As a gentleman, you are capital! I am very impressed.

Unless a video is a full service length broadcast with countdowns and all that "live" stuff including the "streamed live" YT note under the video I always assume it is edited.
Most churches do Live stream, record the stream and rebroadcast it or repurpose the content into like worship / sermon videos
The Lakewood services are always live if they say they are live. They only repost the sermon later but the live service is always streamed live. Yes they are that Excellent.

It’s been a while since I have been there but 8 cameras can’t be right unless they have moved some of them or they multi uses. They had a camera on the upper level on the same type tracks shown unless they brought that down to the main floor. Also they had a guy ina chair getting audience shot which also could maybe be doing double or triple duty.
Hello it’s likely they have more than 8 cameras, and you are right there is an angle they use less often from the upper level and some other additional angles that we see rarely however the main camera number is 8 if you look at the multiview and the CCU’s . Thanks for watching

Honestly I was visiting the church and I asked one of their media guys they were so generous they said yes. I am not sure if you can just send an email. Best way is if you live in the region try to attend one of their services and get to talk to someone
