@@Churchfront I would like to appreciate your work and commitment guys. Thoroughly impressive in every aspect. Churchfront has built up some great expertise as to what really works with some very nice features such as remote KVM connected computers, Dante networking, ultra-clean workstation setups and well organized, highly maintainable rack installations.
I am looking for information to see if you do installs for other churches. I cannot find any info or contact information about this. Can you tell me if you guys do new installs, as well as looking at current systems and how to contact you. We in the last few years bought the SQ7 and have questions.
Why you upgraded the switcher? It seems via the multiview that they have only 2 cameras and a few other gfx. I mean is not a space constraint as you have 2 racks which are clearly empty
Background music is awesome! I have a quesiton, what software did you guys use to model the PA system? I am trying to do some similar for my church but I don't know what software to use to model and represent my PA system
I've been in the Pro Audio industry for 40 years and I must say for a new audio install this has to be one of the sloppiest wiring jobs I've ever seen both in the room that holds the racks and on the stage.
Thank you for your work! Could you please help me? We use behringer Wing > Reaper on mac > NDI audio > ProPresenter on PC to stream to RUclips. I noticed that when I go throug that route with a recorded sound, it's much more "full" and sounds better than when we do live broadcasting. We enforce 320 kbps in ProPresenter. I'm thinking that when doing live recording, the quality is being "eaten" somewhere, but I don't know where? Maybe it's worth transitionin to a different DAW? Please help! Maybe there are some other settings I should take care of?

Roughly what was the cost of the entire install? We are looking to do some updates to our system so i was hoping to get some idea of what to look for. We have a similar sized building, maybe slightly bigger
I used to love these videos back in the day, but I think my biggest issue now is that at this point, all of them are basically carbon copies of one another. The beauty in Church tech is working with shoe string budgets and learning to get creative. You mention they are working with small budgets, but what is the benefit of utilizing say the 2/ME Constellation versus the 1/ME. Based off of the multi-view, they are only using 2 Camera inputs. I see maybe 2 for key & fill, 1 for Apple TV, 1 for confidence monitor, 1 for FOH GFX totaling 7 inputs. Now I'm happy to be wrong on my input count, but I just don't think you're being honest to your clients about practical needs. Also, you are really inhibiting serviceablily by flipping that Netgear AV switch like that. Granted, if it were more visible in FOH, sure lets keep it clean, but when in a separate room only accessed likely by technicians, who cares about aesthetics to that degree.
The problem is that nowdays "so called technicians" prefer aesthetics over functionality. They really want to have a clean rack to show to youtube with the latest and greatest tech. Same with the switcher, i don't think the church needed an updated model, they had plenty of room to grow with the old one.
@@checcouxI’m the production coordinator for a 7 campus church, all having different sizes congregations and with that different needs. While it would be nice to have the same thing at every campus, it’s not a practical or cost effective solution. For example, we use an Avantis at our 1,800 person campus while we use an X-32 at our 60 person campus. Our 200 - 500 person campuses use an SQ (varying from the SQ5, SQ6, and SQ7). We even use an XR18 for our smaller spaces. Point is, and this is not me trying to pat myself on the back, but I believe a good technician will meet the needs while still giving room for growth for the season.
2m/e gets more than twice the inputs/outputs and m/e for less than double the cost. plus alot of other updated features from blackmagic that their older switcher didn't have. This client has plans for adding many more cameras in the future. We putt in multiple sdi feeds on stage. The netgear comes with rear facing ports. we didn't flip it. Our goal is not to spec the cheapest solutions possible and neither is that our clients goals. We can definitely work with limited budgets when the limitiations are within reason. We believe Church AVL is the most important application of AVL gear/software, so yes we have other videos on the channel that unpack budget solutions for small churches/plants. But for larger churches with mature budgets, we are going to spec accordingly.
The sad reality is that churches have money, they want good sound. Too naïve to know what is best for them. They let someone sales pitch them into some expensive equipment.
3 of those wireless mics is like $25,000...even with 500 people that's still $50 each person....I just don't understand the economics of this? How much are you talking in total for this update?
This is probably in the range of $200-250k with products and labor since it looks like an audio overhaul and partial video. You should be able to get three ULXD systems (a total of 12 mics) for about $15k. If a church really needs 12 wireless, then typically that is going to fit within their budget. That's not the most expensive option out there.
@@steve01010 if they say it seats 500 people then that would be a $400 to $500 investment from every person. Considering a number of those people will be from the same family or children...I just don't understand the economics of stuff like this?
@@peterthorogood7025 The way churches (and most anyone investing in equipment) approach the expense of things like this is how it plays out over time. Yes, $500 per person if you pay it off in one weekend, but no one would do that. If you get 10 years out of the equipment and you have 500 people attending each weekend, then a $250,000 investment comes out to 96 cents per person per weekend: $250,000 / (500 X 52 Weekends X 10 years). I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but I don't think a family of 5 would have many complaints about contributing less than $5 per weekend for an A/V upgrade.
@@peterthorogood7025 Most organizations (not just churches) are going to consider the cost long term. If they can get 10 years out of this system, it comes out to a little less than $1 per person, per weekend (250,000 / (500 * 52 weeks * 10 years)). I'm not saying that's right or wrong, but just the reality of how the cost is approached.
But... Why cowboys? Jesus is not a cowboy. 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
