As for the Sony broadcast cameras… just with the lens and the cam body alone you can’t do anything. You also need the ccu to power the cam, convert the video signal, embed end deembed signals for communication etc. and you’ll need the rcp for colour correction & shading.
    Costs adding up fast.
But on the other hand you’ll get outstanding quality.
Just today two pixels died on our Sony camera and where showing red. It took less then a minute to readjust the sensor and because they have 3 ( one for each colour) the cam just turn off these pixels and did some matching with the surrounding pixels to compensate for it.

Agreed. So many other things you have to add to make the camera usable you are so right and it’s amazing to see how much is needed to build this kind of broadcast setup

    I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH YOU......
that it's justified spending that much for a great viewing experience. We aren't talking about a for profit organization. The viewing audience simply needs to be able to see the preaching, period and if they expect more than that they aren't watching for the right reason.
Billy Graham televised in black and white and spread the gospel. Nothing more is needed.
This waste of money or this money not being used for the people of the church is why I no longer go to a church.

Back in the day Black and White television was still a luxury. But I get your point, when it comes to spending church money there is always a grey area, some people are struggling to even get food to eat while we spend money on technology, but that's another debate that does not involve only churches.. you shouldn't stop going to church though, find one that aligns with your values
