It doesn't feel like a video from 6 years ago! It was a really helpful video. I still don't understand why I watched this video now!

I've been a camera operator at my church for a little more than two years. I've just found your channel as I endeavour to build on my skills to serve God and his church. Thanks for an informative video. Subscribed!

Thanks for making this public. Even though this was uploaded 4 years ago, and our setup is not the same, actually far less, the PRINCIPLES still apply. Instead of me coming up and presenting this information, I can send this video to my small team and you guys did 10 times better than what I would have come up with. I have so much more I want to say to express my gratitude 🙏, but I don’t want this RUclips comment to be a novel; so I’ll end with another thank you.

@@TinagirlTravels I hear ya. Never enough time to do everything. I've been doing it for 14 years now. A few times a month on Sundays and Wednesdays. Used to have 5 cameras but only 3 now.

Really loved watching this but the only push back I have is with the use of fades. For the most part, it's use should be limited to openings, slow transitions within a song, and transitions between songs. It's also important to utilize negative space between shots to avoid "ghosting." Otherwise, you will make audience go cross-eyed. Lol

Thats not really what rack focusing is. A rack focus is blurring out your subject to focus on another subject in the same frame but at a different focus distance.

Disagree with the “establishment of the song” thing. You’re not doing a tv broadcast. Your doing a church service.
