What video production tips do you have?
@chris neill Hey Chris. It is true churches can get a quality picture for a lot less than they used to. As far as recommendations for gear, check out Joel W. Smith's blog - he's got some great information about what camera to get for churches on a budget: www.joelwsmith.com/budget-friendly-live-streaming-kit
Wow. The super find. I started the same channel for my and other Ukrainian churches. I would be happy to talk about these topics!
That is awesome! We’re training our new volunteers and this is super helpful for our camera people and myself as well. Thank you!
Thanks this was very helpful! I'm helping my church for the first time with video and you gave me some great tips!
Thank you for doing this…it’s very helpful🙏🏾
Very helpful. I’m just starting at my church. Definitely benefit the crew.
Awesome!
Very helpful, you have helped me thank you. God bless you sir
Thanks for the good tips
Thank you so much for this.
Thank you so much Sir
so much info. thank you
Good stuff, Joshua! I’ve wanted to hold a workshop at our church to teach these same tips for camera ops and directors. Getting everyone on the same page between different crews is key to having consistent and quality productions and live feeds from week to week.
Great! Just send your team the video :-)

What are some angles and tips that a side angle camera can capture in worship or presenter?
Great video btw. Will send it to my production team. Thanks!
Hey Luis! Thanks for the kind words. Side angles really depend on your production "style". If they are handheld cameras the operator can move around and get any shot they want. If it's a stationary camera, I recommend placing it so that you can zoom in on one person but also see the profile of the rest of the team as you zoom out. I hope this helps - hard to answer without knowing your context.
Very helpful content. Thanks and God bless.
Good tutorial but you are wrong about two things. There are a few rules in photography and videography production that should never be broken. The main one it to never cut off at the joints. Meaning knees and elbows. I perfect 3/4’s shot should cut off about 4 to 6 inches above the knees. And you should apply the same rule to the elbows. This rule goes back over 100 years and is in every master class.
Good presentation overall. Not to be pedantic, and I understand that the target audience is predominately laymen videoographers, but most of the terms you used to describe your framing shots were inaccurate. From a professional standpoint, there is no such thing as a "knees up" shot, or "waist up", etc. More professional terms for those shots are Wide, Medium, Close-up, and Extreme Close-up (and also a "Cowboy Shot" which is what you would say is a "waist up" or "elbows up".)
I wanted to add that information for those who wanted to "talk the talk" more accurately and professionally so not as to sound too amateurish.
It help me soo much 🖤🖤🤍🤍. God bless you
