With Planning Center I understand you can search and make lists, but can you format and print out reports and save ten for future use?
Also, how would you compare Planning Center to Church Teams chms?
Hey Allen! You can print out reports and do some formatting (but that might be limited depending on what you are hoping to accomplish).
I am not familiar with Church Teams. But it looks like they offer a lot of features similar to Planning Center.
What is the difference between "checking someone in" using the Check-in tool, and "taking attendance" using the Group Tool. For keeping track of worship attendance which tool would one use?
Groups is used for smaller groups of people that meet regularly.
Checkins is used for any number of people to have a record of their attendance and help with security (for kids).
If you are wanting to take attendance of everyone in the worship service, you would use Checkins. If you just need a headcount of how many people are in the room, you would use the Headcounts app - which is free and is tied to Checkins.

Is Checkin really designed for checking children into classes and events (ie children's church) or is it intended to "checkin" every person (children and adults) in every group and service of worship and record total attendance for every class and worship service?
Checkins is used to check in kids, students and if you want, adults in the worship service.
Groups is used to manage small groups that meet regularly. Kids Groups, Student Groups and Adult Groups can use the Groups App to communicate, take attendance, text, share documents, and more.
