This video is so much better than it had to be. I'm blown away by the thoughtfulness of every detail - even the video production numbers at the end were super intentional. You have my admiration and respect. This video was clearly a labor of love. Well done.
@@kekkyoko yeah, events management. There are many fields you can specialise in like corporate events and weddings. My focus is music and entertainment. I’m sure majors like music business are similar though x
Wow, I have worked as Security, promoter, Sound & light technician, rigger, DJ, bartender, event planner, hype man and even even artist manager, this was the best video describing every little thing that makes event work. Really good job guys!
I'm months late to this comment, but may I ask how you got started? and how many years did it take to progress through each of these roles? i find it quite remarkable that you have experienced so many facets of the industry :)
Brilliant - great video! Thanks Adlib. I production manage for some venues at the Edinburgh Fringe and while a month-long theatre festival isn't quite the same as a touring show, it requires much of the same people and no less preparation. It's great to see our industry on show like this! (also, Adlib, how clean and new is all your stuff?! Seriously I've never seen such new-looking kit)
I watched the video and expected the channel with this QUALITY of motion graphics and information to have MILLIONS of subscribers.... ur definitely underrated
As a freelance live sound engineer I have to say that I love the level of planning and organizing this company has achieved, it would be a dream to work for a company that works as such. I see so many ruined events or events where everyone has to work 2x overtime just because of the lack of preparation. Kudos < 3
This video is amazing. The script is on point, voice over, b rolls. And also the people behind the events scene are doing so much more work than I could ever picture before. Thanks for this !
Kaon here, I work as Stagehand Labor, with the union I'm in, we help production crew and the roadies to build their concert sets, and tear them down, load the trucks under their lead and send them off to their next venue. We work on Arenas, Theaters, Trade shows, Expos, Conferences, etc. I love my job, and my older coworkers love to see younger adults/new adults in the Live Venue Entertainment industry!
This is insane… I stayed glue for 20 minutes😅 now I have such a huge respect for those big events I see. This is such a massive industry…. Bigger than I ever imagined
19:05 song is Anki - Adrift, for anyone who was curious. It's one of my favorite songs ever so I recognized it immediately, which was so exciting because Anki is so underrated! Also, this video is incredible. I feel like I just learned so much, and the presentation is masterful. Well done!
i have never felt so represented before, kudos to the people behind this! we often overlook the talent of the people behind this, because as the statement says, the "people behind." I feel so happy that this video focuses on us.
I don't work in the live event space but have always been fascinated by all the logistics and work that goes on behind the scenes to put on these shows! My utmost respect goes out to every single person who collectively works to put together these experiences for the people like me in the crowd, having our minds blown by the audio/visual spectacle! Thank you all and to the makers of this video for simplifying an immensely technical process into fantastically simple visuals to explain it all!! Cheers!!
yup that explains very well why touring is not profitable for most artists. Meanwhile certain people (I won't mention) take huge cuts of ticket profit for no valid reasons...
The amount of respect I have for the every musician that's big enough to tour shot up straight to the roof. How is it that over 200 000 + people that can be employed and use their skills to give people an experience like no other only because of an album????????
Holy crap, what an amazing video! I work as a local crew member on such events, and this perfectly represents how all of this works. Thank you to everyone who worked on this!
oh my god that is so nuanced. thank you so much for all the work you guys do! to be a touring artist is my dream!! i frankly knew very little about how gigs are actually executed, this was so informative
I'm an event videographer as well as a director for commercial projects and the every different event planning always amaze me. I've been wanting to learn more about behind-the-event check lists and found this video. It's sooooo good to watch with all those graphics
As a lighting designer, I am glad to see this video.Thanking you to make this video about the people were working behind ,before&after the stage/show.This is the best video representing the industry.
You should make a video about photographers and videographers, so the people who are working in that industry, could show people that does not understand the value we do, so everyone could learn and be educated. This was one big great tutorial of how it is made- great job, thank you! Waiting for videos I recommended!
Did events for 10yrs and its hectic work but seeing the crowd experience a show to remember makes it all worth it and makes you want to keep doing it. Its the business of creating beautiful moments and memories
I'm fascinated by this video. Kudos to whoever/the group of people who envisioned it and made it, because this is top tier content from RUclips. Thank you!!
I really love it from start to finish. So inspiring, thank you for sharing the whole production process, I've been looking for such a video for long time. I'd really love to be part of the team.
This video is so cool!! I've always wondered how these things are organized and created, and this video shows all of that. Thank you so much for making this!! Also very well edited/made video.
That was incredible. What i find interesting as a single person technical-support-outfit is that I do most, if not all of the technical work myself and on a scale that is small enough that the workload is manageable, yet the end result can still be impressive for the 100-300 people that might see the event I am tech’ing when done with finesse and creativity.
For me it's also interesting to see how bigger events manage. I've worked at a gig lately with about 300 to 500 people and we had 3 people working around the stage (not including building the stage and dismanteling it again). One for lights, sound and instruments, one for timekeeping, artists, coordinarion and as stagehand and one assistant to both of them. On the other hand (a bit bigger) I am in a crew of 5 people who organize four open air evenings per year with 2 to 4 thousand guests. One of my departments is technics. We've got one guy for sound, video and projector (with 3 assistants for building up and taking everything down again + 1 camera operator) and one guy (me) for lighting, ambience and every other technical need like energy & water supply, internet, radios, digital infrastructure (with 1 assistant + helpers as needed). If I look at the other departments I'm in charge of (logistics, security) as well as all departments of the five other organizers we've got 62 people working to make the event happen which is a crazy number. These are 40 volonteers, 5 department managers and 17 external workers + all the people in the warehouses, logistics, managment, etc. for the material we use and rent (around 10 involved companies, multiple truckloads of material) + city employees signing our concepts ^^
As someone in the live events industry, I loved this video! Even though this is what I do for a living, I feel like I still learned some things. Great video!
I had the vaguest idea of the logistics and manpower involvedin making events like the ones described happen... But I haven't realized the full breadth and width of it until this video. This was very informative and extremely interesting af! Kudos!!!
Man!!! That is a whole lot than I expected 😂🙆🏽♂️ I even forgot all the things I wanted to say....I guesss one thing was about how I thought events only required booking the place -hiring the person to set up the place - announce the event - play the event 😅. It was amazing to see all that goes to creating an event. Thank you for sharing this amazing video.l 😎 Also, I was about to ask if I could have a job, as this looked interesting or maybe the way you presented it made it interesting, but at the end of the video I saw that you covered that as well 😂 Like you knew I was going to ask for a job. It would be amazing work there I think but I don't know anything much and not very sharp. Still glad I watched it. 😅👍🏽 Also, I am sure y'all might not even see the comment but I wanted to share my heart out 🤣🤣
Very nice video to explain to my friends how much work there actually is necessary for a show like this. If the whole industry would be as professional as this company seems like, maybe I would still work in it haha. Because the reality most of the time is different
I love how i'm somehow involved with event management on a lower scale so i get the logistics being a spider's web but i also find it funny how it looks overcomplicated as hell once you realize we're all the same species living in the same floating rock like how hard it is to bring artists to the same continent that gets _everyone_ anyways? since we're all the same tiny particles around the same fire ball
One thing is clear, this company knows how to plan and execute to perfection! Well done!
Seriously Sir❤
these motion graphics are so good
No fr i make video edits too and now im inspired 😂😂
fr tho, its obviously well organized script with detailed information
This is a fucking MASTERCLASS. Respect to this company and all the people involved.
This video is so much better than it had to be. I'm blown away by the thoughtfulness of every detail - even the video production numbers at the end were super intentional. You have my admiration and respect. This video was clearly a labor of love. Well done.
I'm an events student and this is more comprehensive than anything I've ever seen in school. It's totally spot-on. Great job guys and girls.
Wait, "events" is actually a career? I think there's nothing similar in Mexico :(
@@kekkyoko yeah, events management. There are many fields you can specialise in like corporate events and weddings. My focus is music and entertainment. I’m sure majors like music business are similar though x
Hats off to the people behind this video. It’s brilliant
As an IT worker, I have no interest in joining the event industry, but after this video I am seriously starting to contemplate it
11:18 tour cases for catering equipment is absolutely genius
Wow, I have worked as Security, promoter, Sound & light technician, rigger, DJ, bartender, event planner, hype man and even even artist manager, this was the best video describing every little thing that makes event work. Really good job guys!

Did I just watch a 20 minutes job offer video? 😂
Applied.
👍
From a small technical director who dreams to have this kind of big career, I am so inspired by this video! Props to all who work behind the scenes!
Brilliant - great video! Thanks Adlib. Do we work together? 😂😂😂
I can't with the way how amazing this video is edited. It's so pleasing to watch. It feels like an event on it's own.
This is INCREDIBLE. From the near perfect production to the ultra-deep dive into every detail, every second of this video is worth its weight in gold.
this. is. beautiful.
This video is amazing. The script is on point, voice over, b rolls. And also the people behind the events scene are doing so much more work than I could ever picture before. Thanks for this !
This video is perfection.! Who ever wrote the script deserves a raise

Im a designer that is interested in Live Events. this is poetry in motion
well said!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾, best story telling I've seen in a while!
'Unhappy Squad' with the reference to that iconic alcub cover is such a British chef's kiss
whoever made the animations for this video is getting all of my respect 🔥🔥🔥🔥
15 month production period????? Thank you for this! Truly
"Artist, sound guy, and lighting guy" As a lighting person, on smaller tours, that's literally the crew, plus the TM and PM. Gotta love it!
Awesome video, this is the future of advertising!
17:15 I love how they turned the knob to 11, because that is one louder than 10
I thought I was the only one to notice ^^
I've worked at a tier two arena (12K capacity) for over 20 years and this is hands down the best explainer of live events I have ever seen! Bravo.
Even if one person messes up , it's gonna be a huge thing... Great teamwork and dedication
160TB is CRAZY. and 3k plus clips is mind-blowing.
We were not ready for this big type of video
Best explanation, best team, best execution. WELL DONE. GREAT JOB.
imaging loading OUT all those equipments, respect to those who make amazing shows for us to entertain for only TWO OR MORE HOURS

Do you know the sound track at the start. The mainly used one?

Why isn't it profitable?
Best video I've seen this year thus far. Complexity and abstractions all explained neat and tidy
The amount of respect I have for the every musician that's big enough to tour shot up straight to the roof. How is it that over 200 000 + people that can be employed and use their skills to give people an experience like no other only because of an album????????
A masterclass in process vizualization. Respect.
