At least it's not genshin or fortnite, HSR is a W game it's the best game I've ever played from hoyo actually IMHO. but even if it has it's flaws like every game to exist, it's too beautiful to see such flaw's. Honkai Star Rail is that anime you're addicted to so much you wait for the next episode then it's over in what feels like 5 mins but was actually an hour of content. That's honkai star rail.

I adored Jarillo VI and Penacony, but the Xianzhou was really... not my thing, and I'm not sure why!
I looked at the lore to checkup on all the stuff I missed, and it really should've been much less of a bore to me than it was! I liked hearing about the origin of The Hunt, and learning about Yaosha, and understanding the whole story behind it in retrospect, but I really didn't care about it in game, even though I tried to get invested in it!
At least Penacony is pretty dang good, though!
@@idkwhatimdoing5268 It wasn't a very cohesive storyline. There definitely was highlights, no doubt about that! But as for the Xianzhou in its entirety, it's kinda eh. Still a 6.5/10, but not as good as the rest.

@@Junnneee it's more like I tuned out the actual story by watching movies and shows on my TV, and simply following the quest arrow
The closest thing to skipping the story would be
1: you're in a dialogue cutscene and suddenly went offline (quitting out of the app, turning your phone off for a bit, then reconnecting). When the dialog cutscene plays again, there can be a button to just skip it back to where you were before you quit
2: there's a movie cutscene before a boss fight. You lose said boss fight, and when you encounter it again the movie cutscene may play again. If this happens, there should be a button that will skip the cutscene (though you may need to tap the screen to get it to appear). I used this a lot for Phantalia and Adventurine
If you do click the button it'll say, "Would you like to skip the story?" And that's as close as you can get. No Fate GO's method of skipping everything including choice dialogs

Also, it might be that, for me at least, the whole vibe of the Xianzhou wasn't very intriguing.
The world itself wasn't very fun to explore, and I didn't really like any of the characters, which, in-part is due to most of them not getting all that much screen time...
It just felt lacking, which is probably what drove me to zone out and ignore the story in the first place

But goddamn, everyone talking about firefly is damn annoying, I am almost starting to not want the character just because of the hype train.

Little side info on the archeron stopping Aventurine story part in early penacony. If you choose the right options back when you first meet her she will actually admit that she purposefully stopped him and wasn't just lost.

When I played HSR I almost always ignored the main quest and focused on other stuff like upgrading my characters , Simulated Universe or etc

Wolfychu's classic: Skipping a whole story quest

I started playing Star Rail back during the 1.5 Update and have been enjoying it sense. My favorite part about it has to be the music. There are so many good tracks within the game, especially the Battle Music
Side quests vs main story are like Zapp Branigan. I came as quickly as I wanted to.

also as much as i loved belabog because game new, great characters, music and all that... penacony is just such an amazing story it's easily my favourite part of the game, which is great because the lofou was kinda meh to me xD
All these characters make the game worthy of an anime adaptation. I want to see these characters in English dub one day.

PS my favorite part is tied between discoveing Yukong's backstory and becoming a social media star ghost hunter.
I always find it interesting to look at the different perspectives of players that are new to Honkai. I love to see new interpretations of characters that I love dearly, and comparing them to their older version(s). I really want to see Kiana and Fu Hua in the Star Rail universe.

I got into Honkai nearly a month-ish ago and has been one of my fav games since. Recently I pulled Firefly too which I was very happy about since it was my first 5 star!

I started playing Honkai Star Rail back in April and found myself really enjoying the game. Honestly my favorite world so far is still Jarilo 6. For some reason I had believed that once I move on to the Xianzhou Loufu I wouldn't be able to do any of the remaining sidequests in Belabog. So I spent actual weeks in Belabog until I completed every available mission on Jarilo 6. And then I moved on with the rest of the game. Also good luck getting Firefly everyone.
My fav part of the story is when Cocolia literally Zhongli bursted us, the beat dropped, and the song suddenly went "WE MADE A CHOICE GO FIGHT AGAINST YOUR FATE" gives me chills everythime
I remember about two months ago I was trying to get off of that ice ball of a planet but COULD NOT get past the Bronya fight. Been trying to get back into it but my god I rage quit for the first time on a Hoyoverse game.

Well i glad you love Peanacony i love it but i find some chest and thanks to Micky Clock give rewards too and i glad you get into the game
When Firefly died it put me into a depression, I played a bit more until I found that she lived, then I put a pause on the story until her banner, I waited 6 months, then once Firefly's banner arrived I used everything I had to pull her & her light cone, resumed the story with her at my side. Best experience yet playing starrail.
