Im glad you're okay and it must have been terrible, plus all the stress, all the insecurity and the needle for 30 minutes definitely didn't make it better, Im sorry if you got bought back to that memory due to telling us. I can relate. I'm a very timid, not very confident, person but my thick hair and driving skills are the only two things I can think of that I take actual pride in. So when my hair started to thin from depression, well... that definitely didn't help the depression. I was barely eating too and not getting any exercise.
Oh, apparently I am a good shot with a gun, but I guess that doesn't qualify as something I take pride in. That was found out in Air Cadets that I was good with a gun, but my last day there didn't even start and I was in tears. I just couldn't do it anymore.

That is why suppliment companies always say to speak with your doctor first. Also doesn't hurt to also speak with a registered dietician. Nutritionist is okay if there are no dieticians in your area, but they aren't required to pass a test to show they know what they are talking about. Also apply a litmus test, if they support homeopathy or crystals, run.

Yep, going vegan or vegetarian out of the blue is pretty dangerous for your health.
I went through something similar except in my case it was chronic fatigue, fainting & weight-loss. I was fortunate enough to be able to get better with iron supplements & a dietary changes.
But the nutritionist that spoke to me emphasized that becoming vegan or vegetarian should be always done gradually. Any big change in your diet should be done little by little. I'm no longer trying to be 100% vegetarian because of this bad experience, plus I was doing it mostly because of the environment. But I do vegan Tuesdays & vegetarian meals once or twice per week. Eating more lentils has also helped tons with my iron levels :)

I know it must have been difficult to share this, but this video has given me a lot of relief. I've suffered from a LOT of health issues throughout my life, and I've rarely had the means to go see a doctor about it. Lately, some of those problems have followed a very similar vein for me and had a very similar effect on my psyche. While I don't think I am going through an iron deficiency this video has heavily recontextualized many of those issues and made me realize that paying attention to my diet, and seeing if there is anything I am shorting myself of might be a rather significant thing to look at if I plan to start feeling better any time soon.

Huh. I would've thought keeping track of iron and other "plentiful-in-meat" vitamins would've been a big part of becoming vegan. I can relate to not eating enough meals, though. Glad you managed to come out of the iron deficiency OK! I think I'm not too scared of needles, but it seems like a supplement for iron would help the infusion to not be a shock on your body. I'm glad that the doctor at least told you that you'd have better odds with it, some doctors i've seen would've told me to write a will.

Hello Wolfychu! I am an author and I am writing a fantasy book right now. One of my side characters is heaveily influenced by you! I've named her Chu Chu for obvious reasons and her characteristics and mannerisms were inspired from you! But she does also have human ears under her wolf ears unlike you. Pretty sure no one will reply to this but I'm hoping you're okay with slightly playing a small role in a book I'm writing! Please keep up the good work and making your wonderful videos! Please just work on getting better now you hear?!

This feels honestly what is happening to me right now, since there are dark circles under my eyes, and my hair feels lighter. Although it is kind of static and dry all the time, and it gets worse I feel like every day. I feel weak whenever I walk, and sometimes when I'm with friends at school, we speed walk down the halls. I feel like I'm fighting for breath every time and need to sit down.
Might go to a doctor, haven't been eating well either. Thanks for reminding me, I really think I do need help, even if it might be minor or not.

I’ve known that I’ve had an iron deficiency but seeing you put up all the symptoms everything clicked. I never knew why I had these symptoms. I chalked it up to my bad eating habits(two meals maybe one a day) and lack of exercise ect. The random heart palpitations literally everything. I was never told any of these symptoms by a doctor before or even bothered to look up WHY I had these things. Honestly it really was eye opening seeing this video. The more you know. Man I need more iron 🥲

This story in particular really resonated with me. I also had that moment of finding things I used to be able to suddenly being draining (particularly riding my bike for 5 minutes was really difficult when I used to be able to ride for an hour just fine).
I ended up getting a call after my blood test telling me to go to the ER asap from how low my hemoglobin levels were ( a normal low amount is 14. Mine was 4. That quote sticks with me to this day.)
Spent an entire day with a needle jammed in my arm back before it became a regular occurrence (unrelated, dont wanna talk about it).
Long preamble aside, I've gone through the same thing, minus the hair issue, and seeing someone else who I can connect with in this front helps put me at ease

I just went through almost this exact thing. Had all the same symptoms and had no idea what was wrong with me. I couldn't even move a few dinning chairs from one room to another without being completely exhausted. Went to the doctor back in November of last year and sure enough: iron deficiency anemia. Also had a vitamin d deficiency to go with it. Lucky for me I only had to go on iron and vitamin d supplements for a few months. Didn't even know there was a possibility of having to get the iv thing. Would've had the same reaction as you.

I had the same experience except mine was just hair loss. It started coming out one day and I had two small bald spots on my head. Throughout the year though the sides under the hair on the side started falling out and so did on top. I was really self conscious about this so I wore a hat for two years. Then the hair started growing in curly so it looked really bad. That’s when I refused to not wear a hat in public. I’m in high school now and I finally am not wearing a hat. That was a really hard time for me since I was already being bullied and I was having other issues. I was thinking of wearing a wig but never got to so I just wore hats. I still am self conscious about my hair since it’s always messy and puffy. I have been wearing a ponytail most of the time now because it’s easier to handle
