    I saw your video and thought I might share my personal experience with NAC.
    I am about to turn 61, have been an asthmatic my entire life. Up until a year and a half ago, I was taking an albuterol rescue inhaler as needed, which
    was a few times a week and was also on ADVAIR, which is a corticosteroid, since a doctor believed I had COPD.
    I sing quite a bit and noticed that my voice wasn't the same as it had been. I learned that corticosteroids can affect the vocal chords, so I began to search
    for an alternative.
    I read about NAC and decided to try it, so I began by taking 600mg once daily. Within 45 minutes of the first dosage, my lungs began to clear and
    for days I expelled phlegm every morning. From the beginning I noticed that I could breath more clearly and in fact, I have not had so much as one puff
    off an inhaler of any kind since June of 2022 when I began taking the NAC. I have had no wheezing, no shortness of breath and even in allergy seasons.
    My vocal cords improved, my lungs cleared and I now have more ability to breath clearly than I can ever remember.
    I can't say that everyone will have the same results, but for me, it was a game changer and it so improved my life that I only wish I had learned about it decades ago.

      WOW. I just went to ER a few days ago. Wheezing congestion. Seems Advair doesnt work like it used to . The Steroids made it better and they gave antibiotic for upper respiratory infection. going to get this ASAP. Glad you are feeling better.

    • @MVMullins
      @MVMullins 10 месяцев назад +1

      Sorry to hear about your trip to the ER.
      Advair never did seem to make much of a difference for me and it's expensive to boot.
      My doctor was dubious about the NAC at first, but at my last visit she had to admit she was impressed with it's success.
      There are potential side effects though rare and I had none, so do your due diligence and I really hope you feel better!@@charlesboyer5712

    This has nothing to do specifically with NAC, but every brand I buy I have trouble swallowing the capsules. Not every single time, but often enough to make me dread taking it. However it really improves my lung health, and so I just deal. I saw it make a big improvement in my Papa’s health in his later years. He had a lifelong history of working with solvents, and his liver was very sensitive to any petroleum based insult. Based on its low cost I think everyone should take it.

      And every one of those "products" are coming from an animal whose entire life has been spent in suffering to please your tastebuds for 15 minutes. They are also the huge contributors to destroying our planet's biosphere, with the deforestation to grow feed, carbon emissions from methane produced by waste, and including that waste runoff into our natural freshwater systems. Keep eating animals and keep being an individual who supports our modern climate disaster without knowing it. The more you know.

      As CK is a result of muscle breakdown. I don’t see the correlation with taking this supplement. I would look more toward medications that you are taking. Statins for example, cause this condition in a large number of patients. Correlation doesn’t necessarily equal causation.

    • @dlg5485
      @dlg5485 Год назад +3

      The research I've seen suggests that there is no point in taking glutathione as a stand alone supplement because the small intestine can't absorb it. It is far more effective to take the precursors to glutathione, which are primarily NAC and glycine. Taken together NAC and glycine will dramatically boost glutathione production, and they have many other benefits as well, including better sleep when taken at bedtime.

    I keep NAC in the refrigerator because it gets a funky smell after a week or two open. Since 60 tabs takes 2 months to take @1 a day.
    Does anyone else do this?

    Why does NAC give me such terrible indigestion ~?

      Take it with a protein, like yogurt, a meal or glass of milk. That helps me with avoiding the acidy kickback. Oh, and don’t take magnesium at same time. I’ve found that really causes a nasty acid reaction.

    I was taking NAC and I went into a dream-like state, everything in my vision was moving and breathing, I lost my sense of self and became one with the whole universe! It was remarkable.
    I was taking 600mg NAC daily at the time and it was clearly due to this, well, I guess it could have been the 250ug of LSD I also took who knows 🤷‍♂️

    What about the studies that say it can cause anhedonia, is there a way to prevent that? I want to take NAC but I don’t want to be left feeling no joy for life.
