Honestly, I really like the idea of shifting base Tarkov to a more midcore mindset and having the more hardcore mechanics as optional difficulty settings you pick when making your PMC. It could affect hideout requirements and timers, flea availability, and trader stock being set per users difficulty settings are all good options I think.
agreed. the only question is whether or not hardcore players are separate from regular players. personally they should all keep it mixed since the player base is already split with PvE mode
@@themeatpopsicle tbf i cant really say how much its making a difference. but to say its making no difference isnt correct either. if i had to guess its making the sweats more common then the casuals but i could be wrong. i havnt played much this wipe
I wish the quests in this game felt like they were meaningful. Like Im giving therapist Salewas for people that dont even exist in the game, or clearing 15 scavs from the base on Shoreline just for Skier to not actually use it lol maybe if a certain percentage of players finish a quest, it could make a difference in-game.
@@fdno2728 I'd rather be hunting PMCs and scavs than grabbing something off customs to bring to plant at factory for nothing to change despite what I've gone through to finish the quest. Why pursue boring quests that don't give a lot of EXP when I could be engaging players/bots that do? Plus the fights are always infinitely more fun than any quest in the game. Most of the quests don't even give a worthwhile reward, or I could just buy what they give from the flea for wayyy less effort. I really think the quests are the most unrefined part of the whole game
If they can't fix it nerf it to the ground, no need for it to be a listening game with bad audio when it can just as well be a visual game with great visuals.
So, the question for me is, when is it worth coming back? Last time I played seriously was when Big Bird and the Boys started going to other maps, and I played Ground Zero because of the snow... but Tarkov hasn't really met my threshold for "finished". I would probably come back when the narrative has had some polishing, because the lore is the only thing I look forward to anymore. Not a fan of the Battle Pass though, I still haven't forgotten how the Unheard fiasco went, but we will have to see.
At this point probably just wait for 1.0, I think that's when it will be super interesting to give it another go if you're not an 'every wipe level 42' player. For now, we're beta testing sound and other stuff for ya haha!
It depends on what you're looking for out of the game and why you stopped playing. If you're looking for it to be finished, I'm assuming 1.0 will release next Christmas at the earliest. But "finished" here probably means it's done receiving wide-sweeping balancing and technical changes. It will still retain its wipe cycle. I would say jump back into it when the next wipe hits in December/January. Hopefully by then, BSG figures out what they want their economy to be. Currently, the economy is shafted due to flipping items.
For stash management literally all we need is an app that lets you organize. Buying ammo resets and shit would be a nice touch but if I could just drag and drop shit on my phone and possibly sell shit. *Edit I mean if I can watch a camera on a server on rust from my phone and then remotely detonate explosives/traps etc all from my phone I should be able to atleast manage my stash from my phone
Frankly I think Klean had a decent idea for the neck hitbox. Make it give a 100% guaranteed heavy bleed. That wouldn’t be too bad, and it’d make sense.
I always wondered about a split hitbox that splits the damage to two health pools so neck would transfer part of the damage to the head and part of the damage to the thorax.
I'm surprised they haven't tried a tiered Flea system yet where items are locked based on how long the wipe has been going. It would extend early game but not make it too punishing for those in need of basic items that they don't have on the trader yet.
I would love the option to create either a softcore or an hardcore character at the beginning of a wipe. The fact that the hardcore character doesn't have a flea market would make the game much more interesting in terms of overall gameplay feel. It means that the focus is more on leveling traders and getting quests done to get better gear or weapon attachments rather than simply buying stuff from flea. You're basically forced to play the game (walk around, search for loot etc) instead of buying everything for quests and especially hideout. I would love that.
this means that for 15.5 update most improvements based on performance are not "finished", maybe experimentation with it to see what to change, id hope for, because the amount of cpu this game uses for AI is tremendous
im not done with the video yet maybe it was mentioned but will the synchronization with arena and patch 15 mean that the arean REF questline will be able to finally be completed the arena ranked quests still dont count.. chheers
IRL bipods are extremely finniky, almost a gimmick. When games just let you insta mount to a surface with a perfectly stationary bidpod it is laughable honestly. Regarding elevation/depression though- IMO they just need a height adjustment for the bipods as you would adjust them IRL
Arena needs to be moved to the base game. The fact that it isnt in the base game already, damages Arena. If i didnt have to change game client from Tarkov to Arena, would give me more reason to play Arena.
Scavs should be free to play. Same restrictions as usual at end of raid, mebbe can save valuables/money/loot in a junkbox that a player can inherit when they pay for full game :)
I feel like Tarkov movement can be improved. Right now the camera is attached to the head of the model, so sometimes if you strafe a little bit, your PMC won't stop when you release the button. 3D model has to complete the step and then you stop which is kinda stupid. It just should cancel the whole animation when you release the button
The game used to be that way (counter strike-esque) before they added inertia into the game. That movement is here to stay as it’s realistic. To stop yourself from completing a full step before changing directions get into the habit of pressing w or s quickly between switching left and right to do a u turn. You don’t lose any momentum that way 👍
@@hunterharo8409 I'd argue it's not realistic. IRL you can actually feel your body. If I step laterally I can stop myself quickly my simply planting my feet even if I'm in the process of making a step. And it was like this even before inertia. If you for example stop and look to the left, to the right, 180 degrees your 3D model starts pivoting and camera will shake until the model completes the motion
Nikita makes so many promises that don't happen, suggests mechanics that never come to fruition, and is so out of touch with the base that any interview of his is interpreted in my brain as white noise.
Most things Nikita has been planning have been added to the game and many more are coming with the next patches. Maybe give us an example before crying about it?
Cuz it was a 50$ dlc which no one holds a gun to your head to buy lol. First in 5 years. Their level of monetization is leaps behind how modern companies milk their audience.
because Tarkov is still a fun game. I dont care about the devs trying to make money. In fact, I hope they make more money so they can continue to improve the game. Only cringelords are upset at a company trying to make money lol
Nikita and BSG will kill this game. They are so braindead with their decision making, its ridiculous. Arena and EFT should NOT be linked together in any way unless it was free for all players. This BY ITSELF is PAY to WIN.

Hardcore mode should just block the access to buy with money from the flea and like only Allow players to only sell and buy items barter style.
