- In this video our two "have a go heros" work out that you can fit a cheap Jaguar XF navigation unit into a Land Rover Freelander 2. There is no need to code the unit to the Land Rover - it simply plugs and plays. The Jaguar units are much cheaper on ebay that the Land Rover items. In the video we show how to unbolt the seat to get better access to the DVD player and swap it for the new one.

The issue is as follows
Radio and SAT NAV not working after rear tail light failure
Digital clock on Radio still works after ignition
Radio and SATNAV are factory fit from new, SAT NAV disc player under drivers seat, SAME as Simons removal videos
Believe these systems run on the "MOST FIBRE OPTIC LOOP" system My next port of call, Simon, any videos related to this please?
Checked all 3 fuse boxes, engine compartment, glove box, and boot
Some links say it is 15A fuse F29 in glove box area.... this fuse box has only 28 fuses, F1 to F28
There is one image of F29, which is an inline fuse somewhere around
the radio area, image attached, i cannot locate this

Great video but was slightly freaked out to see the new satnav unit showed your location in Ealand (near me!) rather than Cirencester. Is this because the new unit had remembered it's last location but couldn't update due to being in a metal building?
Great video, what happens if you took out the old DVD from the Freelander and inserted to the Jag player, would that still have the Jag symbol?

With OEM Unit, I believe only using GVIF optional unit

Simon, I have a Freelander 2 2013 HSE and would like to have the dipping door mirrors as per the Metropolis and Luxury. Where do I go from here? Ray Richards
Settings button was inactive too? Once I had inactive navigation button. Then I have inserted one of the three dvd inside and left for a while with ignition on. Once I come back - it was working. It updates from dvd even without any signs showing about it.
The setting button was working...just the Navigation dead.... overall i am happy as for £40 i have a 2012 satnav disc and my Nav is now working ! Not sure why the Jag DVD players are so cheap on ebay... i guess they have lower values and so more are scrapped ?

Hi - not seen one of these... but i have not looked very hard.... just purchased a 2005 sport for £3000... i think we will fit one to that car.... keep an eye on the channel..

Hi Simon, I have a 57 model XS with no sat nav fitted. is the wireing under the seat/carpet to plug into a sat nav box or is it a complete install?
I have same year and model freelander and had the same thought but need to know if it is just a plug in before I shell out my hard earned cash getting the parts out of a scrapper

The sat nav on my Freelander 2 is bust, and the part number is 6G92-10E887-CG. I have found similar part numbers but with different final 2 letters...like EG instead of CG. Does anyone know what the difference is and if the part will be compatible please?

Hi there what would cause a nav in a Landrover LR2 to glitch (Flashing) which make it unable to read on the screen? There is a disc in the DVD Rom unit.
Not sure - could be several issues but cleaning the DVD would be a good start and a new disc - these are cheap and easy things to start with
Does anyone reading this know why the head unit would intermittently cut out for a split second and come back on again,is it a known issue or am I just unlucky.

Hey guys what can I do to boost performance and also can the 1st gen evoque seats fit.
My FL2 59 plate pulls like a train, so I cant think why you would need to boost performance! Try using Forte Injector cleaner and Forte Turbo cleaner and only use Shell V Power diesel.
