Would be worth stating a warning about the parking brake release cable. If you pull it, you have to get the Parking brake module out and open it up to reconnect the cables to the internal mechanism. This is a big job, requiring the rear sub frame to be dropped. Without the warning people may be tempted to unnecessarily pull the cable, leading to a very big job / costs to rectify.
Hi Steven, that shouldn't happen. The manual says: "After the emergency release cable has been used to release the parking brake, the next time an apply selection is made with the parking brake switch, the parking brake module automatically runs through a latching procedure to reconnect the spline shaft with the force sensor. The parking brake module turns the spline shaft so that it moves towards the force sensor. The pawl of the spline shaft then re-engages with the spigot of the force sensor. A second apply selection with the parking brake switch is required to apply the parking brake". I will forward you a picture of the manual now. 👍🏻
Umm, after 10 + years of grime and rust I wouldn’t rely on that happening in reality. It is a very expensive repair if you need to get the EPB module out to re-latch the mechanism (sub frame has to be dropped). My point is that I feel a good word of warning should be made when discussing pulling that cable. Unlike the petrol flap cable which has no financial consequences if pulled, the parking brake release cable could have huge negative consequences, particularly if you just pulled it through curiosity and the mechanism didn’t auto relatch afterwards.
Also the lifting of the air suspension via the key fob. With the car running or not running turn on the hazard lights via button on dash then shut doors and one finger on the button that has the dimple and then the unlock button at the same time to raise the car to the next set level then the lock button to lower.
Hi Philip, that's actually a good feature! I think I'm going to make another video showing even more features since people liked and enjoyed this video! 😊
I've had mine for 10 years and I didn't know these. You can also stop the "no seat belt" bong by buckling and unbuckling the seat belt fast about 10 times. Great video mate, thank you.
Hi Jordan, welcome to our channel! 👋 Thanks very much for your feedback, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 😁 Yes, that's true, but I tried to keep that a secret 🤫😆 Wow, 10 years, that's really impressive! What year is your Range Rover? Did you purchase it from new? 😊 Keep in touch!
I didn't know about the fuel flap and hand brake released thanks hopefully i will not be needing to use them but good to know i can. I own a 2012 vouge tdv8 i love this car my daily driver here in Australia
Hi Paul, welcome to our channel all the way from Australia! 😊 Apologies for the delayed response! I'm glad you found this video helpful. 👍🏻 We are massive fans of the Land Rover brand too! For the past 8 months, we have made so many friends/pen pals from Australia 🇦🇺 so we are incredibly grateful to have you here on our channel! 😊 Stay tuned for more videos!
Hi Adzy, thanks for the comment! 😊 Alex says she's happy you liked our plant segment 😁 Do the older L322 models have valet mode at all, or is it only on the new ones?
I did not know about some of these functions, but then the L322 has so many hidden functions that a one week course should be part of the purchase of these! I think a few Delospurmums in your garden would add a slash of colour, they are very happy plants! Chris B.
Hi Chris, we're so glad you found our hidden features useful! 👍🏻 L322 is such a beautiful car and has a multitude of functions! ❤️ The best way to learn about these cars is to live with them 😊Alex and I love gardening and we like flowers. We looked up the Delospurmums and they look beautiful, it's something we will look at putting next year for sure! Best wishes, Fahed and Alex
@@lifeasusual:- I find is so annoying that there are lots of people on youtube coming out with negatives about the L322, I do not think they have even been in one, but they heard someone in a pub telling a friend how unreliable his RR was, I also think that the vast majority of breakdowns are the result of fitting aftermarket components, for which the RR gets the blame. You will find the Delaspurmums very easy to grow, and to increase them all you need to do is break off a stem and push it into the ground, they root very easily, they survive dry weather as well, even here in the South of France. Stay safe! Chris B.
We couldn't agree with you more, and it is very frustrating to us as well, how people misunderstand the brand Land Rover just because their friend didn't look after their car, exactly 100% same as your experience. And this is what I try to preach on this channel - that you should always use Land Rover genuine parts as a first option if it's viable. Within our videos, we share with our viewers (who slowly-slowly are becoming our friends) that we use Land Rover genuine parts - as in the UK I found that most of the Land Rover parts are the cheapest in the market and the best quality. And that 100% truly applies when you come to the servicing parts. 👍🏻 Thank you so much for the tips and advice regarding the Delaspurmums, we're still beginners in gardening, and we're learning a lot! 😊
yeah I did know, also the older version L322 had a function where you could lock the engine through the main stereo thingy, also needs a key code. Never tried that scary thing but it's there, anti theft thing. Your wife is lovely

If I'm honest with you, Stephen, I've not had an inspection message, so I don't have experience in this. The only experience I have is in the service message, which I did reset using the GAP tool, and if you remember, I made a video about the tool and also a completely different video on how to reset the service using the GAP tool.

Does the valet mode limit the speed and acceleration? I bought a valet mode module for my Peugeot 607 years back specifically because, at the time, we frequently holidayed abroad at short notice and had to take the car to the airport and leave it with valet parking. Having seen what that lot do to cars (had a Jag XKR go past me at 120mph+ coming out of Gatwick by the jockey who I'd just seen taking it from a customer!) it was worth every penny. It cut the power by more than 50%, and limited top speed and acceleration so they couldn't abuse it. Does the valet mode on the RR only lock areas off?
Hi Shane, actually that's a very good question! I'm not too sure, I have to test it and get back to you! That sounds horrendous and scary what they did with the Jag at the airport!!
Hi Kevin, welcome to our channel! 👋🏻 I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and thank you for the comment. That's really great because not many people know about them! 😊
