How to access hidden / secret Diagnostic Menu on Land Rover Freelander 2

- In this video we look at how to access the secret diagnostic menu that is a feature of the touch screen on the Land Rover Freelander 2. This gives you some access to some extra functions like changing the language of your satnav system etc. Be careful not to access the "LOADING" function as this seems to mash up the satnav !

Diag PIN 1791 allows you to change sat nav destination without pulling over to a stop. Handy for the passenger to use the nav system whilst you drive.

If you accidently in the secret menu chose "Loading", followed by "yes", try the following correction sequence:

J3: NO RESPONSE TO PRESSING NAVIGATION MENU
Check the "Loading" button on the navigation diagnostics screen (PIN code 660) has been pressed,
and "YES" has been selected.
Has the "Loading" button on the navigation diagnostics screen been pressed, and has "YES" been
selected?
Yes
Check the correct map disc is inserted into the Navigation Control Module (NCM). Start the engine and
allow to idle for 15 minutes. Turn the engine 'OFF', and then start the engine again.

This can reset the system and make your screen function again. Don't repeat the error ;)

I am having a problem with the radio/bluetooth functions. Its a Landrover Freelander 2 2007.
I know how to pair the phone to the the car but the menu which shows bluetooth although unlocked will not pair. I got it fairly recently and cannot access the menus to delete previous contacts, received calls , missed calls ect as they are all padlocked. Blue tooth is open but not functioning as it should, I cannot find out how to unlocked the padlocked choices and I sure if I can figure that out I will be able to use bluetooth as it should, any advice you can give me will be much appreciated.
In searching for 'hidden' option to change dashboard language. Is there any option to change it without official LR / Ford car service ?

No this screen is not a DVD player... better off getting an ipad holder for the back seat ?

Don't know if you're still looking to get into the menu, but on the home screen, hold in die valet button for about 20-30 seconds.
😂 621 miles deciphered as tank range left....u could fill mine on prem diesel and still get nowhere near a reading like that 😂.

I don't have a DVD because the navigation system runs on a permanently installed memory. also the whole console is different ...

I've got a 2013 Freelander 2 aswell...I'10ve got the update disc but can't find the dvd player that everyone says is under one of the front seats
You can enter the secret menu by holding in the valet button... About 20-30 seconds...

Don't do it..... i did not realise a pen would trigger the touch screen !
