I am really pleased for you. Huge call out to Laurie... what a Man!
That's wicked mate! Congrats!
Actually when I was shopping for a Toyota I had heaps of recommendations for the Busso dealer, despite being 300kms away!
Must be good folk! 👍
Thanks mate 👍 yeah they have a fantastic reputation in the region. I definitely chose the right dealership to transfer to 😀
That a great thing. To see that Australians are helping Australians. If we all do one thing to help someone. You will feel better about yourself, and one day, someone else will help you in return. By just Saying Hello, to a stranger. Or say Have A Great Day.
Can be a start. From little things, big things grow.
Great build. And have a great day.
Mate so happy to finally see you happy and smiling. Congrats on the new car and I'm looking forward to see you out and about in it.
What a true aussie legend Laurie is! Congratulations on the new car 🤠
Great to see Laurie and Busselton Toyota giving back. More importantly its great to see you getting back on your feet. I am sure you will repay Laurie 10 times over with loyalty. Nice rig!!!!! When I am passing through on my lap in my 300 guess where I will stop for a service and any other work needed, Good on ya Laurie for giving this guy a break, god knows he needed it. Keep going man there is always a light a the end of the tunnel.
Thanks mate 🙏 the hilux is so close to being finished now. I can't wait to get out and start using it 😀👍

Well done mate! Love the build. That phone mount is epic hey. I have one in my Hilux and it just works so well.
Laurie is a top bloke glad he is there for ya mate
Congratulations on the new car. What a wonderful employer dealer to work for. I am looking forward to the rest of the build.
It’s so great to see some positivity and great things coming your way Paul.
Good on ya mate, having awesome bosses like Laurie always make ya want to put in that bit more effort at work. Happy for you mate.
So glad you have a great employer, it's so hard to find an employer like that these days.
If I ever live in wa brussleton toyota will be my first stop when I need a new car.
Congratulations. Paul, and please let Laurie know he's a true blue legend 🇦🇺👍

Good to see your back on track with your life. Your boss is one hell of a great guy for getting behind you and lifting your spirits. Tell him your subscribers think he is a good man.
I've been sharing the comments with him. He's loving the positive response to the video 😀
Awesome video mate, keep up the good work. Laurie a true local legend, giving back to the community. So good to see.😊

Sad to see the old girl is gone she brought me to your channel but on wards and upwards 😊
Good to see things turnin round for you mate.
Good on your boss too.

Good things happen to good people your boss obviously sees your potential and this is a investment and u will stick around and be a good employee. Great work
Good to see a big smile on your face mate, look forward to the rest of the build
It is great to get happiness in your life. Well done. My case is still ongoing, and I have been told it is going to be longer. That's OK. It's great to see you smile. Thanks for this video. Russell
Good to watch professional doing the fit out
That’s awesome news . Got to love the excitement of future trips and build up 😎🍻
If you are going to the trouble of a raised air intake you should of made it waterproof,Safri ,TJM would have been my choice but It is your rigg.Onya Camp.🙂
I'm not planning on doing a lot of water crossings. I've fitted plenty of brands over the years and the genuine Toyota snorkel is my favourite as it has a very slimline profile compared to the competition. Even Ronny Dahl only used genuine Toyota snorkels for hilux's. You can make them waterproof but it's at your own risk. I doubt any brand would cover a new motor if something went wrong. This is why I didn't want to lead people on but instead be honest and let them modify it at their own risk 👍
Looking good! Keen for the build!
Enjoy your new wheels Paul & God bless Laurie!
Thats awesome mate things are taking a turn for you. Seems like you have a great team at Busselton Toyota.
The new Rig is looking mint 👌
Good to hear you're doing well brother and you're doing well at your job with a good boss very good there Toyota
Love Toyota. My daughter and husband bought a new kluger hybrid this year. They found the same thing, just as easy to manage repayments on new as it was on used. They absolutely love it. Best fit with 4kids and they had a very comfortable drive 12 hrs to Melbourne in it already. I call it the sneaky car because you don’t hear it pull up. 😂
Great ep paul congrats on your new car it’s good to see it’s getting better for you self , I have a 2017 sr5 and since I got my spottes installed I have a headlight system malfunction code could this be because my auto electrician did not put the Toyota genuine loom in cheers if you can help
Thanks mate 👍 I'm not sure about the 2017. I'm pretty sure back then you could still pick up the highbeam signal from the headlights from memory. It's only the newer one's that you can't.
But it does sound like they've done something wrong to cause that issue. I'd definitely get them to look over it again & fix it
well done mate best for the future
Laurie ya the man
WOW Paul. About time things are turning around for you. What a top employer Laurie is looking after his employees. You don't see that much anymore. Hats off to Busselton Toyota. Love your build video going to be nice when completed. GVM on Extra Cabs comes off your 3.5 tow not like the twin cab keeps there 3.5 tow. Extra Cab all the way I love them. New content adventures down the road going to be some great new video's. Cheers Paul and Cheers Busselton Toyota.
Congratulations Paul!
Wow look at you, you have a smile like The Cheshire Cat!
I'm so relieved to see that your world is falling into place!
I enjoyed my 2002 Hilux but like you, I couldn't trust it to go remote traveling. My 2012 Colorado is by far a better vehicle than the old Lux and I've put a lot of work and money into it over the last 4 or 5 months.
After watching your new build, I wish I had the money to build something similar from scratch.
I'm looking forward to seeing stage 2 and ultimately the 1st of many adventures!
I must also say a big thank you to your boss!
Bosses like him don't come around too often these days!
Once again, congratulations!
Also really interesting video. Good to see what happens in the back.
mate that looks amazing and its great to watch you do work on your own vehicle!
Great build on your new rig mate 💯 I'm happy it's all working out for you 👍
Nice Build with the Hilux 😊
Great to see things working for you 🎉
Great to see you doing well mate! Keep inching forward, it will get easier and easier
Congrats on the new wheels..... glad to see things are starting to turn your way.
What a great story! Well done Laurie . Looking forward to following the build. I’m in process for buying an SR EXTRA Cab and hadn’t considered genuine accessories, but l will definitely have look at them. Thanks for sharing a fantastic outcome that put a smile on my face.
Congrats mate! It sounds like you have a job for life there!
Happy for you mate. Rig looking great. Seems like you have a great boss and a good working environment.
Awesome buddy, very good choice and a 'sick 4x4' No excuses on getting those camping videos out there!
Good on you mate. Great video, and great to see things picking up for you. Would love to catch up if I ever get back to WA. Shout out to Laurie at Busselton Toyota.
So good! What a great boss!
Congrats mate. Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke. looking fwd to many new vids exploring West Aus
Good on you mate, good to see you happy and nice car 🍻
Good onya Busselton Toyota !! Glad your on the up mate..
Congrats, things are looking up mate and well done to Busselton Toyota. And this isn't just Toyota but all 4wd makers, they know we add lightbars and 12v accessories. Why the heck don't they make a standard plug and play pickup point for high beams somewhere sensible instead of having to gut the whole car? And why can't they have a simple 12v bussbar behind an easy to access panel somewhere down under the infotainment to power accessories like CB, dashcam, navigation, phone chargers etc.
Australia is a very small market and most other countries don't fit the accessories we fit here in Australia. So they can't design their cars just to please a tiny fraction of the market. Australia is a very unique market and we absolutely love our accessories here. But until we are a bigger market they won't design cars purely for our needs
So happy for you mate. I know it’s been tough for you. You should be very proud of how you have handled yourself and the situation, as should your young fella.
Onwards and upwards mate- don’t look back.
I was very happy for you Paul that you are on track with new work place and Thanks for Toyota ( what a feeling) .
Thanks for all your videos.
Awesome stuff! Your Boss sounds like a ledged!
You will feel awesome driving around in it now 😊😊😊
A can reader from Canm8 will give you a high beam without all that dashboard removal in future.
Yeah I quite often fit those to ravs and other cars they don't make genuine looms for. Great bit of kit 👍
Your boss Laurie seems like a top bloke 👍
Absolutely delighted to see you doing so well I just can’t believe what has happened to you it’s only up from here now mate awesome to see you genuinely happy you have made my day to see how well things have gotten for you and Laurie your a dam legend mate absolute legend for all you have done wish you the absolute best for the future
Mate I'm looking forward to part 2 now. Great video!
Great stuff and what a great bloke Laurie is. The new rocket looks fantastic mate🍺🍺
Hey mate, great video! Glad to see you getting on top of things, I have a 2012 extra cab hilux I’ve done a canopy fit out on, happy to show you what I’ve managed to do, anyway keep up the great work and well done Toyota Busselton

So far I haven't been past Perth because I just didn't trust the old hilux enough so I'm really looking forward to exploring North wa in the future 😀
Top stuff buddy. Lookin good
Big ups to Busselton Toyota
Good on ya mate you deserve it!
Hilux is looking awesome already 🤤
That is awesome ,Love bosso.
We would like to offer you an awning for stage 2. Let us know if you are keen because we would like to help you out.
Thank you so so much for your generous offer 🙏 I really appreciate it.
I already have an awning and rooftop tent I'm putting back on once the canopy is fitted but I appreciate the gesture so much 🙏😀
@@Campingdownunder No problem at all Paul, thank you for getting back to us. We are keen to see this build come complete.
If you ever need anything don't hesitate to ask. Hope you are Enjoying WA.
If you have some time on your hands check out the Mandurah boating camping and 4x4 show. We will be there, there is an influencer corner which might be good for you to get into. If not we can sponsor you some tickets. That way we can also meet you and show you around.
@outbacksaffacampers I was actually there last year with the other content creators and I'll be there again this year lol. I also do the 4wd shows each year. I've done the Adelaide 4wd show 4 times and the Perth 4wd show once so far. I'll be doing the Perth 4wd show again this year but I'll be at a sponsors stand. Definitely come say g'day at Mandurah 👍
You're kicking goals
What an awesome story mate and so glad I came across your channel and to see someone work hard through the lows to get to the other side. I can feel your pain mate - but great work!
On the east coast I have formed a good relationship with the GM of Llewellen Toyota who is a ledgend and same, loves helping people!
Cheers !
Bloody awesome mate your gonna love it 🤙
Glad to see you happier mate. Not sure a 90k+ financed build was the smart financial decision.. If financed over 5 years, I would predict over $300 a week in repayments, absolute minimum..
It's nowhere near 90k thanks to the support of my sponsors & it's less than $500 a fortnight. We ran the finance before going ahead with anything
@@Campingdownunder fair enough mate. All the best !
Awesome video , seen a lot of build video’s in the last years , but with your back story and use of genuine parts i learnt something keep it up , In the future we should organise to do a camp or even a iconic track in the next year or so. I live in perth but will be joining the grey army in the next few months so ill have time on my hands
Thanks mate feel free to message me anytime on instagram or Facebook and we can organise something 👍

Wicked mate, you deserve it can't, wait to see the next video
28,000 likes! Good going!✔️✔️✔️
fantastic to see mate, great to see you find your feet again. and well done to Busselton Toyota too! great to see a company get behind its employees. just a thought but maybe consider doing some more technical videos with installs and wiring etc. especially since you do it everyday! share them little nuggets of knowledge that comes with knowing a platform inside and out. not often a master of his craft has a platform like this to share his knowledge. also 100% agree with the rim choice! I don't think there is a nicer factory wheel out there, my Boss puts them on all our field service Utes and they look a million bucks! looking forward to what's next!
Thanks mate 👍 if you go back through my older vehicles I actually have shared quite a few wiring videos trying to help people out and they did really well. I just have to be careful because showing people how to fit accessories can actually take work away from my employer so it's not something I can do regularly unfortunately. My very first video on RUclips was actually me showing how to install a redarc charger. Recorded it with nothing but my phone 😂
@@Campingdownunder yeah that's understandable man. your quality of production has increased heaps over time!
My first 20 videos were shot with my phone lol. I always try and improve with every video 😀 it's hard filming everything on my own though
That's called CARMA!
What a fantastic boss ! Great karma coming your way.
Hey mate, love the video.
I’m about to put a cradle and winch on mine that already has the bar fitted. Any pointers?
Just that the entire bar has to come off & you basically start from scratch with the brackets lol. Make sure they give you the instructions with them & as long as you follow them you'll be fine 👍
@@Campingdownunder thanks mate
