Comment your Top 3 CURRENT skates and we'll compile the results and release them in our next video 'The People's Vote'. One person who comments will win their number 1 skate... but you must subscribe to the channel too (you cannot win if you are not subscribed 🙂)
(Say the model name only ie 'Roces M12, THEM 909, USD AEON'... you don't have to specify the variation).

1 Razor sl- 2 razor cult - usd aeon .. love thrones!! the Mesmer may be the same boot but feel nothing like a throne they are built very well an look amazing though . It’s an impossible task to put skates in a list 1-10 . If I were skating a ledge I would probably go with my cults . Handrails or coped box’s SL , ramp aeons fast an light . All skates do it all though ..

    • @Crook3d_GT
      @Crook3d_GT 2 года назад

As someone who started on cults, no, just no... SLs are a huge step up and Aeons are better than both imo.

One of the skates that really got me excited was the RB blank, so my top 3 would be like
    1.- RB Blank
    2.- USD Shadow Eugen Enin
    3.- FR UFR
Idk if I'm going to win, but thanks for all the things that you are doing

Interesting top 10 but no love for the Razors Shift this time around? I wish I could get on with the 909's but the sizing doesn't work for me and my old bones need a decent shock absorber. Top 3 for me would be:
    1. Razors Shift
    2. Razors SL
    3. Mesmer Throne

    1. THEM 909 Pat Ridders
    2. RB Blank SK
    3. FR UFR (Pottier)
I feel you about the being vain part. I have hard time skating boots that I don't jive with the looks. These 3 skates share quite a lot of similarities and I think they're definitely the most represented skates current. Pat Ridder 909's are definitely next on my list as I want a proper pair of intuition liners and finally try the small version of the 909 shell. The RB Blank liner is nice, but I'm curious to see how the intuition liner performs compared to it.
My non-aggressive skates are Seba CJ, so intuition has always been on my radar, just haven't really had an opportunity or reason to get one quite yet. Nice video!

    1-Them skates/pat ridder.
    2-Fr Potter skates.
    3-Kaltik K skate (curve ball)
    1-
    **them skates**
I agree with Jake.. I'm trying not to be a fan boy. But the them hardware design and cuff adjustability is amazing for a stock boot.
I finally found a boot that fits me perfectly after 20 years of skating. The downside is that the sizes seem a bit out.. I'm a UK 10.5 and fit in the medium 909 shell with the intuition.
It would be nice to have one from new though. I've had to buy the last two shells 2nd hand due to family commitments.. You could probably tell from my loco account 😂 it's all parts for skates.
I can't warrant £300 for the newer models.
Do you guys think that there would be a chance to buy the shells only without the liners?
Oh and also Jon is using the money from the boot sales to really bring newcomers to the sport. Look how we'll he has done with the street contests, Billboards, features in magazines, one of the first to up the royalties/wages for riders.. And not forgetting the comunit-e boots.
More profits from the boots going into passion projects.
    2-
    **FR skates**
It's nice to see pottier to finally get a pro model. It's well deserved.
Amazing value for money for the whole boot option. Nearly £200 cheaper than the them models.
Shame the full boot setup didn't come with the intuition.. However a metal frame 8x 65mm wheels. Still a great deal.
It seems like a great boot to enjoy the feeling of rolling along at high-speed but still having the capability to stop off at a skatepark on the way home.
I would of loved to of seen the team review the frame though.
    3-
    **Kaltik K junior skates**
I have to say the build quality on these is incredible. The fact that my daughter can have a UFS skate that doesn't weigh a ton. It isnt bulky. And the closure/buckle system works amazingly well.
I have recommended these to a few parents that have asked where I got my daughter her skates.
The new colourways are quite appealing too.
It's nice to see fabiola finally get a pro model...shame it wasnt a model she could actually skate though.
I have wondered if they were to make these in adult sizes if they would be popular.
For anyone that is thinking about starting in the sport.
The USD Aeon/Sway are great boots.. Even though they can be looked upon as a entry model. RUclips "nick lomax" or" Richie eisler" they rock aeons. And nick is probably one of the best people to watch on RUclips right now for his videos.
Be wary of buying the sway model from decathlon or sports/soccer etc.
The soul plates are riveted to the boot and aren't as easy to replace as the models that loco sells.
I'm in two rollerblading groups at the moment with skaters ranging from 14 all the way up to early 50s.. The most common boots within the group are..
    Them skates
    USD sways
    USD Aeons
    Roces M12s
    Roces 5ths
    Seba CJ Carbons
    Thanks again guys..
Still would love a review on the Flat frame 😂 now knowing you not anti rocker skaters anymore.
Also if anyone else reads past this point and has any questions.. Join the UKBC (united kingdom blader community) on Facebook for the biggest group of Rollerbladers that are more than happy to answer questions or a place to meet other locals to skate with..

    My top 3:
    1. Roces m12 (Nils Janson)- I love the M12, once you break them in it feels like your just in shoes, my grinds are sharp and controllable especially when you have square rails. I feel like im over the rail much more than on the 5th elements. though I lock in on the negative I can't hold it long (off course its me not the skate)
    2. Roces 5th element - 2nd place reason being that I use the m12 for everyday usage and park, the 5th element I use more when Im on street and want to be a bit more lazy and try new things however, unfortunately I think they are a bit bulky and seriously thinking about moving to THEM. Though, they feel excellent for a bulky skate I thought they will be more similar to a KHUTI.
    3. THEM - I love the design, the make and feel of the skate I actually have the frames in my M12's. THEM though looks like a bulky skate feels more like an m12 however the inside (negative) is easier to have fun with. Definitely my next skate!

Hello, my pat ridders have the best comfort out of all of my skates. I must admit though since I replaced my frames with oysi mediums on my razor shift greys the speed and control with my grinds are super easy. Also if we were talking about what is the best skates that I own? I'm going to say my 2004 rob thompson salomons with oysi mediums 68mm outer famus and 60mm inner famus wheels reds bearings, roces RL1 liners. I have the wide body soul plates on these and one way I test to see if royales are easy or not is trying it on a low rail or box. These feel like salomans but with a touch of USD aeons because of the frame 😅 Also my lomax greys aeons are really nice because of the 2nd skin liners make them super comfy but I threw away those lace hooks and replaced it with a 45 strap 👍

Only ever skated 3 aggressive skates and one was a second hand classic throne which A) is not on the market any more and B) did not fit me at all. So, with that being said, my top 3 are…
    3) THEM 909s - I’ve not had a chance to skate them yet, so I can’t really put them any higher than this, but this is deffo the skate I want next. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the way they ride, and I just love the company and the team and everything they’ve done for skating. Plus they have some of the most interesting designs on the market.
    2) The USD Aeon - I really want to love this skate more than I do. I’ve only been skating for a year, and the MASSIVE soul plate and wide groove is perfect for a beginner. Plus the pink bladies skate (the one I have) is beautiful. But I’ve never quite got it to fit 100% right - it gave me terrible inner ankle pain, which I’ve read a lot of other people have struggled with. Cutting some of the plastic off has helped, but the liner does just still feel kinda sloppy and doesn’t hold my foot in well in some places, while being too tight in others. Plus, the hardware comes loose really easily, which I’ve seen other people complain about.
    1) Roces M12 - I got a pair of these second hand and despite being too big for me by like a full size, I still loved them. Such a simple, beautiful looking boot, not to mention that the domestic punk is, for my money, the most beautiful design on the market. They fit so well and so simply with their genius memory buckle. And even as a beginner, the soul plate locks really well while being narrow enough to avoid looking like your feet are being attacked by space invaders.
Much love Loco for supplying me and entertaining me through my first year of skating xx

    1. Blank SK
    2. USD Sway Farmer
    3. USD Nick Lomax Aeons
Rollerblade skates are made to such a ridiculous quality standard it's a no brainer for me. I did own Thems and they are also incredibly well made but I hate narrow plates cause I'm bad at locking in my grinds. With the new plate might be worth a revisit

Ive not tried 3 skates on the list so cant really make proper one. (Low / medioker rider)
Blank and Them looks very interesting, seems so be quality skates, would love to try any of them some day.
    1. Salom st8: Not around anymore but my all time favorite skate, the small soulplate is the only reason why i dont skate them today.
    2. USD Aeon: Feels like a more premium skate over the VII, very light and feels tight. Not so much time spent with them but felt very good the times i used them.
    3. USD VII: My current skate, Love the large soulplate, decent liner, the boot is a bit too wide for me so they feel a bit sloppy. Want to try them with flat setup since i ride mostly bowl today.

    1. RB SK because of the quality, never had a hot spot yet. And it fits my feet exactly. I like the fact that it comes with anti rockers as well.
    2. 909 with intuition liner. It’s comfortable, I get a hot spot on the side of my feet when I ride them too long.
    3. USD shadow Eugen Enin. Fits like a shoe. Very unique skate. Felt odd at first because of how high the heal pad is. But you get use to it after a while.
I would have put the Razors SL on this list but I keep losing screws. And if I tighten them it’s pretty hard not to strip the bolt. But other than that the reign liner v3 is perfect for it and it’s a bendy/flexy skate just like the Shadows in my opinion.

1 - THEM 909 “WHITE” (best looking and best company imo and will be next pair of skates)
2 - USD AEON CROFTS (current/only skate ridden, love the color and feel of skate)
3 - ROCES M12 LO “chestnut” - such a unique color way and love the idea of the lowered cuff!
I only got back into skating last year and have only rode the Sam Croft Aeons and love them so far, no complaint but my 1 and 3 choices would be my next two pairs if I could just got get all my dreams skates right now!
Loved this video and always great content! 🤙🏽

    Whohoo ... No CJ2 Prime? 🙄.
    1. Seba CJ 2 Prime - Quality, fit, look, concept, no break in time - I love this skates.
Just two nice setups I would recommend for CJ2 Boot. both are flat street setups, able to grind concrete ledges and more:
-Oysi medium with 90a 65mm / 95a 58mm (no soulplate mod required - fits out of the box, close to no wheelbite)
-Oysi medium with 90a 68mm / UNDERCOVER Team Wheels 59mm/90A (bullet profile "grindwheels" ;-), minimal soul mod required. Even forcing a wheelbite is a real task. They skate fast and handle bad surfaces pretty well. The the wheels 2 and 3 last a long time in this configuration)
    2. Marry Munoz Aeon - the best Aeon out of the box. It has nearly all mods, I would do myself. Metalbuckle, 45° Buckle. even a reflective stripe on the back.
But the skate cries for Sliqx or a selfmade HQ-hard plastic soulplate mod. USD will certainly change the Aeon (soul-)material at some point in the future. They know about this Issue.
    3. The USD Sway - great price and skates well. The perfekt 2nd Skate for Aeon owners to get an cheap UFS option. This skate is a great recommendation to people who would like to test whether aggressive is (still) something for them. And you can also build a nice freeride skate out of it. The options and quality at the given price point are in my opinion unbeatable when viewed soberly.
... Why no Thems? I love Them as a Brand/Company - but right now the Skates are not in my Top 3. Still a "young" concept and they will improve. But viewed objectively, the 909 skate has some flaws to me, so that there are better ones. However, Them is a great company that should be supported if possible. And I hope to be able to do so very soon. They are really good for our sport and culture.

Newer to blading so I have only been rocking the Them 908 Communit-E's for the past year, so I'd count my input invalid.
However, based on comparing my skate style with reviews, yours and others, and as well as looks, my top 3 would be:
    1. FR AP (Really like the looks, and I've been curious on freestyle boots)
    2. USD Aeon (I feel I would enjoy these right off the get go)

I know I'm almost a year late but after watching the video I would have to say.
1: The USD SWAY I love the way it feels this is my 2nd skate and since I've made the purchase my other skates have been boxed.
2: The Razors Cult. I started aggressive inline on these and for the price it's really a great beginner skate. I purchased the V2 in white and I couldn't have been happier. Loved the anti-rocker setup until I brought the aforementioned Sways.
3: I would have to say just off of looks alone the Eugen Enin Shadows. Although I have no experience this skate is definitely my next purchase.
    And finally for my thoughts
4: The Roces M12 I brought these for my wife and did NOT like the weight of them as they are extremely heavy especially for such a narrow boot. I have a bigger foot and none of Mines feel as heavy as the Roces M12.

Daaamn all skates looks and works great! I think that Inline skating is coming back to top sports again:) Myself in age of 37 started skating again after almost 25 years off (whaaat!?:) but man it is still so cool and fun to grind rails, boxes, ledges!:) Now I ride on oldschool Rollerblade TRS Alpha (in 90s I rode in Roces m12) and they're really cool skates, but maybe little big and heavy. I was thinking about changing gear but it's really hard to pick one new pair :)
    3. Blue M12 Loco looks really nice (i really enjoyed them in 90s)
    2. Them are cool, really well thought and theeem Jon Julio! ;)
    1. Mesmer & Blank SK - these two pairs - ahh man so classic but in new fresh version bring back memories from old good times. Black on black in SK made them look like a pair with the power from hell hehe, but Mesmer's design is realy stylish and on point.
It's really cool to see that inline skating is still alive and it's doing well! Thanks Loco for all your support for the community and skaters. Real skaters never die! :) Love from Poland! 🌅🖖

I struggle with sizing on most skates as I’m between sizes. The 909s are great looking skates but I’m between size M and L. M12s are probably my favourite skate for fit and weight but I get really bad pressure points on the outside edge of my foot when grinding in them. Right now I’m on Salomon ST80s which are almost perfect, except when trying to do royales one them with Sola frames and 36 year old knees…

Hello there, my name is Chanel Donahue. I was scrolling on RUclips trying to educate myself and I discovered your channel (freaking neat btw, keep up the good work). I am reaching out to you, and your subscribers because I couldn’t find a video with your top 10 aggressive inline blades.. for women. With the cost, and the vision I have for myself, it is extremely important that I execute this purchase to the best of my ability, while utilizing all resources (you). As far as my experience goes I would say I am advanced. In fact, I know I am advance when it comes to speed, having a competitive outlook on everything I do (excelling brings me joy) and constantly curious as to how far I can push myself physically and mentally. I can (and do) haul ass (even whip myself around gracefully to skate backwards while doing so) cut sharp corners, my balance is superb and because I’m extremely in tuned with my person and mind, I am not afraid to get hurt, to take chances and I would consider myself fearless (in comparison to most women my age, that I’ve encountered anyway). With that being said I’m ready to venture into aggressive skating with full force…I’ve been ready for a long long time and I’m confident I will thrive in that category. I’m 30 years old, 5”1 and I have narrow feet with beautiful high arches (I had to haha). If you’ve gotten thus far into me describing myself (a tad bit too much, however it is important). I appreciate y’all taking the time to do so. I am interested to hear your thoughts! Have a great day dude.. guys…

    1 - Them 909
2 - M12 (skated these for years and they are almost unbeatable in every aspect)
3 - Razor Cults (loved my razors back in the day, this is the closest you will get to Superflats which I loved dearly)
4 - Mesmer - never actually skated the old Thrones, so this is more an aspiration to tick off the list one day
Maybe do an all time video including old school skates? I always loved my K2 Fattys. All brown skates will also forever be eclipsed by RB Chocolates, was in love with my pair, the best shade of brown ever (although let’s not mention the soul kits)

    My top 3 are
    1: Roces M12
    2:Them 909
    3:USD Sway
The sway is at number 3 for me because of how accessible it is. This was my first skate getting into the world of aggressive skating and i dont think theres any other skate i would’ve preferred to start in. Great entry price, solid quality, all around a solid first skate.
I haven’t tried the 909s too much but from the short time wore them they were fantastic. I think if i had a bit more time with them they’d be my number 1.
The M12 is my favorite skate for alot of reasons. Its slick design, its compact shape and feel, its nice and tight fit, etc. Ive only had one pair and ive skated them down to the bone but I absolutely love the M12s.

I haven't skated any aggresive skates haha......BUTT I'd be more inclined towards:
M12 - because of the price and the narrow fit for my small feet and ankles. (also looks great)
USD Sway - for the quality to price ratio also because apparently it's easy to learn grinds in
Mesmer - apparently has a similar narrow fit to the M12.

It is difficult to rank these skates because in my point of view it is for everybody different because of the sizing of the skates. 1: Razors SL. Hands down the best grinder blade. Loses a little bit on responsiveness and energy transfer when rolling through transitions and getting air.
2: Razors Genesys has all the stiffness that fixes the rolling issues that the SL presents but isn't as good of a grinder blade and I grind more often than air. They're really a kind of joint first depending on usage.
3: Them 908 (size small). I think the flexibility in the lacing area is better than the 909 and the flexibility of the other parts isn't an issue in the small shell size.
They have the same kind of responsiveness for rolling transition and airing as the Genesys do but they're the worst grinder blade of the 3 and the parts don't last as long.
Honourable mention to Xsjados. Really unique skate, good all-rounder, souls are a little too big and a little slow on grinds and energy transfer isn't great when hucking an air.
