Skate bags are an underrated investment in skating along with owning a bearing press ha. I do think though that skate bags should have the liners facing out because I know when I’m looking for a bag I want to air the funk out

@5:00 i think the mis-matched strap alignment is so that you have the option of having it strap OVER when the top is rolled down, or strap AROUND when the bag is too full to be rolled :)

The battery charger at the bottom with cable access is great.. you can sit your bag down and let your mate charge up while you're skating. I think that strap at 7:21 you can use for your helmet.

Really like mine, and I think it's the best bag I've owned by far. I was able to carry 2 pairs of 909s ready to roll, along with knee pads, wrist guards, helmet, spare clothes, water bottle and snacks. My only concern is the elastic strap losing it's elasticity over time. When that happens I'll end end up using straps to secure them down.
I use the extra strap up top for when I have my big wheel wizard setup. The top skate stickers out so this wraps around it to keep in place. I think that's the purpose for it.

I have found with most backpacks that storing skate like this take up the space from what is available inside the bag. Bags like the Razor and FR ones are some of the worse offenders (I owned both) for someone wanting to store protection, personal items, and hold skates those bags don't cut it.. I have a 50/50 bag (big square one), and 90s bag that holds the skates inside the bag with space for all my skate equipment.
I'd love to see a mockup bag with a set of skates attracted with all the gear the average skater takes to the park, however I am impressed with the fitment of the boots outside it would be nice to see if you loose space inside.

"I have found with most backpacks that storing skate like this take up the space from what is available inside the bag". I like the RB Commuter bag for this reason because it's all one pocket to do with as you will!

The worst part about rollerblading is the practicality of it. Two huge boots which you have to lug around with a pair of shoes. A skateboard is just a board and you already have the right shoes for it. I feel like blading companies are always trying to find a way to streamline this part of it but it’s never truly going to go away. It’s like a car. It’s amazing and useful when you’re using it, but it’s just a huge thing you have to put somewhere when you’re not using it. This bag does a bloody good job at minimising it. I’ve been using the old Jug bags since I can remember but ironically they’re great for everything except holding skates.

I think they don't do the elastic strap, because it is not good for longevity. They just break quite fast. I believe GC had this system and Rollerblade is having something similar. (lt 20?)
My usual problem with skate bags was the build quality. I had the brown canvas GC, it just started to RIP. Had a powersild one (not ubc, older) it was great, but the material was hideous.
Currently using the 50/50 session. It is built from proper material, but a tad too small for holding full padding and a shoe. It is really ment for sessions, not a whole day skate trip.

And you are right on, we need more skate backback reviews too, also pictures on the backpack with various skates on them and some people wearing it.

7:35 I'd probably use it to hang my helmet. I definitely want this bag but I'm wondering how useful most of the pockets are while skates and gear are fully loaded. Does it open up nicely with pockets occupied or will electronics and the like be squished?
The skate carrier does look really good. My favorite was the Eisenbergs Skatepark bag (Senate quality) bc it was HUGE and had padded sleaves on the sides for your blades. yes you had to pivot when going through doorways but it was the most stable carry I've seen since.

I've been using it for a good week now. Probs best bag I've used. I put in my Sls, spare buckles, tools, wax, footies and insta360 with back up batteries. There's also a nice pocket for your phone and wallet.

To echo other comments, please please please report what skates fit/don't, either in a followup video and/or in the website. I'll add the stock FR1 325s to the list.

I can't fit my FR1 325s in the backpack. I'm pretty disappointed. I wish the website for ground control addressed which skates this bag compatible with.
I'm going to try to fit them in again after tightly buckling them first but I think the problem is how big the wheels are and the width of the skate holder. I just don't want to mess up the bag before I return it.

Would it fit a 4x100 skate+frame setup outside, though? The size 6 aggro skate already looked pretty tight there. The backpack looks really nice actually.

So i bought this bag and thought it would fit my Rollerblade Twister LE size 12 US with 80mm wheels. And it does a tight fit in my opinion but it works. I hope that helps anyone who wants to know.

Thinking adjustable straps would be better than elastic as it will lose its elasticity over time, no matter how thick and robust. after a few session in the rain and it gets all grimy and wet over time as its in direct contact with the wheels... Some skate socks would fix that issue though.

I've been using my Razors Metro bag with the elastic skate holders for 2 years now andt they have held up great. I've probably put my skates in the elastic and then taken them out at least 100 times.

Looks decent but I much prefer skate backpacks where the boots are strapped to the sides, like the old Salomon packs. I feel this distributes the weight better compared to having them front loaded and further away from your spine.

The fact that all sources online show this bag with tiny agro skates makes me think this bag can't fit full-size blades.

I love your videos but this was quite shite. Don't show us how size 6 aggressive skates fit in it... show us size 11 wizard advanced! it is quite obvious smaller skates will fit no problem.
Who needs laptop pockets on a skate backpack? I'd much more be interested in shoulder straps- are they comfortable and what's the quality?
    Also no price mentioned.
I get it was a shirt video but I'd expect more of a review kind of content.
    Cheers
