Your desire to not show favoritism towards Griot's clearly made you minimize how much better the Turtle Wax performed. TW did more than "eeked it out".
After looking at some other vids like wax mode. The griots seems to have better durability in the long term actually! But I still prefer the TW hybrid ceramic since it has a whole team you can use. Definitely makes it more fun
Tell me how either one of these products or any sio2 infused waxes are more durable then a traditional paint sealant or wax like jescar powerlock plus or collinite 845? I see no reason to move from those products to these to improve durability or gloss.
@@gambietti What does this have to do with the video? If you want the answer to that you would have to look for a comparison video of those products with Seal & Shine since this TW product is almost the same thing except it's a little easier to apply.
gambietti seal and shine and this hybrid ceramic makes detailing much convenient and easier with a tad higher in durability compared to traditional waxes. This really makes detailing something of a breeze now specially when you have a busy schedule or a car/motorcycle group meet in the evening and you wanna look awesome.
“Eeked out”? I dunno dude, from my keyboard warrior observation the Turtle Wax looked like it fared quite a bit better. They’ve really been bringing the quality the last couple years.
Im a Turtle wax ceramic user and just ordered Griots for the smell factor. Alot of people mentioned it smells great which Turtle wax lacks. So hopefully a decent change.
The new TW Hybrid products lineup are "game changers", aren't they? Combined with TW Hybrid polish and wax correction ... should be a protection that lasts longer ... agree?
Great video JIMBO! I would also say that Turtle Wax did have a slight advantage but like you said both great product from GREAT companies! Glad to see you making another torturer test video even though you were a bit rusty lol! Take care buddy!
Dude thanks soooooooo much for doing this test and taking my request for doing this test. I kinda had my money on the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions though 😁 Absolutely love this product and the SealNShine as well❤
The turtle wax is an oil based product that attracts dust like crazy! Griots is a water based product that will keep your vehicle looking clean longer because it won’t attract dust.
I have never been a big turtle Wax fan so it was time to detail my Fiat GQ Abarth convertible . Did the chemical guys pink foam wash then the chemical guys shine polish with a DA It looked really good after that coat. So then I said what the hell just for shits and giggels I will try the Turtle Wax hybrid ceramic spray, All I can say is WOW!!!! even my next door neighbor was In Aww over how great it looked. So I waited 24 hours to put on a second coat of the TW and OMG the reflection off of the paint is just incredible and is very slick to the touch. So Its the TW for the Win Win.
Great video. I’ve used both and prefer the Turtle wax for the durability, but the griots is a whole lot more forgiving on dark colored cars in the sun. A lot less streaking, which does happen with the TW.
Yeah, I used the Black version on my black vehicles and the standard on my other, and they both streak really bad with any heat (I used the Polish before, both the Black for the Black, and standard for the other cars). I then wipe with a wet towel, then a dry and they both work really well. I just go through far more towels than I like.
Seems like he is favoring the Griots , but it does look like the TW one this particular test , They both seem like great products for the price thanks for the video
Love your videos i've learned a lot from them, but what im gathering is turtle wax seems to make the best product. How often do you need to apply these sprays to maintain the hydrophobic properties?
was just @ the store looking for something new to try, came across both of these so I took it to youtube, this video helped me make the decision, thank you sir, well done, saved a few bucks by going with TW.
The best way in my opinion is to see how well tne water moves off the panel when blow drying it. I think jimbo was fair, with a slight being kind to griots. With that said griots did well. In the real world both are great. Idk, he didnt sound like a politician or anything. Fair enough for me.
I've been using TW ICE stuff since it came out like 20 years ago. Just recently switched to Griot's 3-1. The Griot's to me is a far better product in regard to ease of working with & has a warm/waxy feel & slickness to it compared to ICE stuff. I use my 'wax' products on a host of surfaces, clear coat; plastic; & gelcoat fiberglass.
I think you should show applying the product. That should also be considered. When you put it on does it streak, do you have to buff it off, do you spray on/rinse off, do you apply when wet or when dry, how long does it take to apply?
Good call on shorter videos, I also like the top down split view (a shout out to your video editor!). TW’s new line just hit the stores over here, so I’m anxious to try them out. But they’re like $30/bottle, almost as much as boutique brands...
What is with Turtle Wax? They came out with some of the better detailing products currently out right now, but only increased prices enough to make money while still being some of the lowest out there. Other companies take note: you can increase quality, keeps prices low, AND still make money because people will buy it.
Sorry, I just selected the most recent video to add a couple questions. Can TLC 2 be applied to my windshield? How would I remove the rain x that was put on all of my windows and mirrors a few months ago? What do you use to clean that panel, between product testing? Thanks
Great video Jimbo! Any plans to do a torture or comparison test with one of the new Graphine products? Would love to see how a product like IGL F4 - Renew holds up against one of the better ceramic sprays
maybe a scene from applying session, and also the control center shows the surface was not cleanedup well before apply, you could made a better video than this one bro, thanks by the way, i'm a fan

Jimbo, How about testing the new Meguiars Pro Hybrid Ceramic Sealant M27? It’s shipping now and is supposed to be their best spray sealant. Your test are better than ever now that you’ve added the gloss meter readings.
John G I don’t think M27 is a spray sealant. It can be applied by hand or by dual action polisher like a sealant, but it allows for longer curing time before wiping off so it can be applied to the entire vehicle before removing.
Josh, Jimbo. What in the world can you mean by "eeked out"?? This one was PAINFULLY OBVIOUS! Be careful, or you will lose your credibility! (Of course, if Griots is a sponsor, I understand the lack of OBJECTIVITY in you conclusion)

I'm wondering if the 3in1 would benefit from stacking🤔
I love griots and turtle wax and having used both, I realized that I never go 6+ months without reapplying so really it should come down to cost and ease of use. Hell I rarely go one month other than during winter. I went with the Griot's mainly because I love these damn bottles. I own most of their products in gallon form.

Not sure how anyone can say it was a tie or even close.

Turtles spray contains methanol, so be careful when using it
Because of this ingredient, it is prohibited to import and sell in S.Korea.

Try to buff off with damp microfiber towel
