How to Clean Wagner XVLP 5000 Finish Control NAST Spray Head properly to stop blockages and a poor spray patterns
In this video we show you the proper way to clean the Wagner XVLP 5000 Finish Control spray head.
This is done by removing the spray tip assembly and then removing and cleaning the needle inside the spray head.
This part of the process is either not carried out as people are unaware that this needs to be done regularly, or simply don't clean as often as they should.
By cleaning and maintaining your spray head regularly, you can easily avoid the annoying feeling of going to use your Wagner XVLP 5000 only to find it is giving you problems. I hope you find this video useful?

Very useful - I just bought the 3500 and am amazed that it's basically impossible to clean if you spray as much as 2 litres. Need to stop and clean after every litre I guess. I throw it all straight in a bucket of water and strip and scrub every part before reassembly. The 3500 heats up that much with it's twin turbines that it basically cooks the paint on. Ant the air filter clogs itself super fast, like within 2 litres if your working in a confined space ie fitted bookshelves. Bloody nice finish though, and far less overspray than airless. What a learning curve - nothing like a brush and roller!😅

A useful vid Trevor. I thinking of investing in one of these XVLP5000. Would you clean all the heads in the same way? eg fine finish etc. Thanks.

I didnt even know the needle needed cleaning, however now I clean it if not every time I spray, I always clean it every other time.
