This is somewhat misleading... can you give an example avg work day wage. Some may think 13x8=104...(This was my thinking before the youtube era. Nowadays, people are open to discussing money)
Most of the pay comes from driving. If you drive 1800 miles a week at .49 CPM, you’re at $880 roughly. Now, if you include all of the work non-driving like pretrips, post trips, fueling, load, unload. Tank wash, waiting at shipper/receivers, I’d estimate that to be around 15 hours. OTR loads around 1-2 a week since they drive the most miles. However, many Schneider bulk drivers have complained about sitting and waiting on loads. So 1800 miles may be too generous. So, a “good week” a tanker driver should expect $1000-$1200 a week… gross…and that’s a good week. It’s an embarrassing time to be alive.
I suppose to start working with them 26th of this month and they’re offering me .34 cent a mile, $15 hourly and $100 shipment pay, this is for a DG account, is it worth it?

@IakonaWayne sorry. I strongly disagree. If it's your first time buying understand that when interest rates are low, property values tend to be high. The town will charge taxes according to the price you pay for the home and it only goes up from there. With high interest you can always refinance to a lower rate in the future.
@@TheSolomonProject-kq6xz home prices don’t always go up(2008 great financial crisis or black Monday in Japan), but in general yes. But in the future they’re likely to go down given that the average person cannot afford one and rents are correlated with home prices. It’s okay to buy a home with a high interest rate of say 7% if the home is affordable relative ones income and a good value based on the market. But it isn’t okay to buy an unaffordable home or one that isn’t a good value even if interest rates are 0%.
@IakonaWayne Thank you. Yes, that's correct. Home prices and interest rates move in opposing directions. When home prices are high demand eventually decreases. In order to stimulate sales the prices have to come down. When the prices are high and the demand remains high it's usually because the economy is running hot and that's when the Fed steps in and raises rates. With the home prices high and the rates high demand for homes drop and as a result home prices drop. The rates don't go down along with the home prices because this is the opportunity for because to expand their profit margins.

Shit Schneider offered me 10 dollars an hour to be an intermodal driver. How tf can anyone make a living doing that let alone wants to for 70 hours a week. They said with my 5 years experience I might get 12..
@@Blacktopcowboy 🤣🤣🤣. This is lunacy. Shame on Schneider 😤😤😤
@@Tay.juhWoods hey if drivers let Schneider do it they well. They’ll set a new standard. Other megas or even smaller carriers won’t be like, we’re gonna be the better paying companies. They’ll just follow in their footsteps. If they see one employer lowering wages they’ll do the same soon after they’ve filled the seats they needed with the higher pay.
Honestly truck driving ain’t even worth it if you’re not making at minimum 1k a week. Really should be 1500 gross as a minimum.
Megas are turning a high paying middle class job into a management position for dollar general
It's not not just per hour. You also get load pay.

@@Tay.juhWoods what ball park range is ideal...avg 1.7k per week? Or more( if the economy was great again)

It's better to buy a home when interest rates are high
No it is not, it’s better to buy a values are affordable and you plan to live there 8-10 years. You should be agnostic to interest rates.
They shouldn't be down because drivers was robbed by them
