- 12 unseen videos of Tesla road rage from 2021. In this special Tesla road rage episode we get to see how Tesla owners encounter road rage in America, and how they handle it. Can they deescalate these situations before they get out of hand?
Teslacam Stories is a series of Tesla owners real experiences told by the Tesla Dashcam and Sentry Mode videos. All incidents are recorded from Tesla vehicles and submitted to this channel by other Tesla enthusiast. I contact each person who send me their videos to talk with them and learn more about their story and to follow up what happened after what we see on their video. Voice over and captions are added to describe what happened, and why. I believe that this additional information regarding the incident gives the videos a newsworthy value.
From the footage and additional information, a viewer can learn the consequences of bad driving and can educate his/her self with better driving safety. This process also gives the videos a great educational value. It is my desire to add my own unique and creative value in a transformative way to ensure you enjoy and learn from the videos being presented.

For #1, you can see it :48-:49 seconds in. She was definitely trying to cut him off and got angry after she failed to do so. That's called road rage entitlement right there.
SUVs are usually no slouch in acceleration with V6s & V8s engines. But so are EVs...unless its a Prius prime.

After seeing all the Tesla cam videos. I think all vehicles need to have cameras on all sides like that. Imagine how many instances could be resolved without question if they did. For what we pay for new vehicles they should include this anyway.
Definitely, more manufacturers need to start doing this.
It's strange to me that this hasn't been a standard feature on all new cars. These cameras really don't cost much.

I road raged in the 90's when a dude kept flashing his high beams at me and I followed him to a dark parking lot and jumped out yelling and cursing. There were 4 people in the car but my insane rage made them leave in a haste lol. I could have had an assbeating that night but they were like this dude is insane.
Since you did that, let me ask you. What made you follow someone who you had no idea who he was and try to give that person a beating just because he was changing his lights. At what moment do you feel threaten to the point of needing to beat down someone for a light change? Serious question, just trying to understand it

We really need to be more strict on driving privileges. Half of these people should no longer be allowed to drive. The guy trying to run the Tesla off the road should be held criminally liable.
I mean he probably was. People have their licenses revoked all the time.
Peru requires a complete medical exam, including a psychological test, for each a driver's license and also every time it comes up for renewal. But I have to say the driving in worse in Peru than in the US. I don't really see that as being effective.

As a truck driver, I have seen a lot of road ragers, some against me, and sometimes other drivers doing it to someone else, and even truckers doing it to each other. I'll never understand it.

It is vital to recognise your mood when you are a driver. At times when faced with complete idiots and wilfully obstructive people I have had to pull into a convenient parking spot to allow myself to cool down. Just as sailors need to learn to spot changes in the weather, drivers need to spot and allow for changes in mood in the presence of other road users. Many drivers do not do this.
It is the worse when other trucker mess with when you have done NOTHING to them!

If you notice almost all the road rage confrontations happen for real minor stuff. These are people who don’t know each other, who crossed path for literally two seconds of their day, all they really had to do was just keep going and forget about it. Yet, they choose to do this and get entangled in a stupid war of egos. Nowadays this is very common anywhere in the US. Where do we, as a nation, turned in that direction is anyone guess. But this sure has become a cultural thing.

I can tell you from personal experience. At least a dozen times I've called 911 from a highway to report road rage incidents that I witnessed, even providing license plate numbers. The response is always the same - the 911 dispatcher will stall me for a few minutes, until the perpetrators have driven into the next town, then tell me that it is out of their jurisdiction, and there is nothing they can do.

Once I got cut off and had to break to not crash into them. I didn't rsge at all. Sure I was angry but I didn't flip the finger, nor honked, nor did I flash my lights. Nothing. I guess I was just too confused as to what happened. But yeah, I never road raged.

Story time. I used to have severe road rage in my late teens (18-19) and early twenties (20-22)
Even the most minor inconveniences would set me off. I'd scream, curse, punch whatever I could and bloody my knuckles. I am not gloating, this behavior was disgusting and I look back and think of myself as a fool.
The day I learned my lesson was at 22 years old. I was heading to a campground and at the time I was HORRENDOUS with directions on maps etc., so I ALWAYS used a GPS device to get me to my destination.
The GPS I had was a cheap model, and the campground wasn't actually listed in the chip or whatever it is so it pulled up a wrong address in a restricted acreage property in the literal middle of nowhere. When I called my family for assistance their directions were lost on me, and they had no idea where I was, so naturally my stupid idiot brain did the only reasonable thing it could think of.
I got so immensely angry, irrationally so, that I began to have an absolute tantrum. I punched my GPS screen so hard I shattered it almost entirely. I immediately calmed down, realizing that I just fucked myself IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE and I had no idea how to get back.
After thirty minutes of being stranded, not a lot of gas left to just drive around and hope, I discovered the GPS still worked just the screen was broken. There was only about 20% of the bottom left screen still working, and based on muscle memory I was able to somehow pull up my home address saved to favorites to at the very least get me home. Luckily I had the audio guide turned on already, which is what ultimately saved me because the screen was totally broken.
So using audio guide only, I managed to return home safely and after severe self reflection, I swore to myself that I'd get rid of my road rage once and for all and to become a better, calmer driver.
Now I am 28 years old, and it feels so good not to give a frick about other drivers anymore because I understand that everybody just wants to get to their destination. My road rage does nothing but hurt myself, period, and once I realized this simple fact I was much better off.
My family actually lets me drive them now, because you know, I don't scream while driving anymore LOL xD
TLDR;
I used to have road rage, so I punched my GPS, almost got lost in the middle of nowhere, and then realized that road rage only hurts myself, so I decided to get over it permanently.
Some dickbag was riding our ass and high-beaming us cuz 80 wasn't fast enough I guess... So when he got off an exit I fired a perfectly timed lugnut from a semi right through his drivers window as he slowed and rounded the corner behind us... Was it right, not really... But was it a hell of a shot, absolutely! 🤣

If chased you need to explain to 911. If you are laughing at stupidity of person chasing. Don’t expect much response. (I have been guilty of that) you need to get across due to danger you will have to LEGALLY break traffic rules to escape. It’s a crazy person chasing you. I might have to run him into a wall for my own safety.
Remember the road runner had to win every time. If the coyote won once it’s over. I only play defense so long before I recall. “The best defense is a good offense”. Road rage folks are threats to your life. People die because of them. Dump them ASAP. Take a exit, change direction after they commit…. If they continue. Then…
The majority of the video was shot from the rear camera. Any speed limit signs, would show the speed that they were in previously, not where they were heading.

As someone who has been driving most of my life I have gotten frustrated by certain drivers. However. This is one of the reasons I love cruise control. Just set it at the limit and don't worry about anyone else.

Considering most states have a top mph limit of 75 only on certain roads, 80 in the left lane is speeding. Police have the right to pull someone over that is going 1mph over limit and give them a ticket. Mph limit is just that the limit if you are over the limit you are actually breaking the law
@@journalismisdeadlonglivepr8175 considering the left lane is a passing lane if you have faster traffic coming up behind you, you should move over. It’s literally why autobahns work so well even without a speed limit in some places. Slower traffic goes to the right and let’s faster traffic pass.
You would think... but in certain areas, you feel like you're cruising at a good speed. The minute you turn it on, there is a traffic jam or some ahole that cuts you off.
I use to live on long Island. Born and raised. Moved because of the expense and the entitled botches that lived there. You can't use cruise control very effectively on the LIE. People are always cutting people off. The city, just forget about it!!

Ha! It's so they get better gas mileage. I know this because I've been a passenger in one of those prius's.
When I drove a Prius I made a point to be the faster one in traffic. Prius are great cars and will take a beating, they're just ugly as sin. I don't know how many of my friends would make fun of my Prius tell they got in and seen how I could throw that thing around on the road, and the futuristic dash fascinated them. It was like a go kart. I had a friend that would brag about me J turning into parking spots to anyone that made fun of it. Haha Another plus about the Prius was that cops rarely looked at it and made a great decoy when I was young and doing less than legal activities. The scene from 'Weeds' when the gangsters bought a fleet of Prius to do stealth business is was very accurate.
I wouldn't own another Prius though since I can get a similarly efficient car that looks normal. I enjoy my Hybrid Fusion 100X more than the Prius I drove, it's faster, handles great, and is beautiful.
The Prius drivers where I live no longer hypermile their cars and drive similar to teenaged Honda Civic drivers. I don't know how many times I watched a Prius cutting traffic like a moron.

I am actually thankful that I can considered scary to strangers(many ppl just randomly tell me that...), no wonder I don't have this trouble. Personally I think it is because I am always tired and cold.
I admit I've had a little road rage a few times. It's understandable the way some people drive and because of how you look at things. Times I felt another driver did something wrong, I realize it's not usually intentional. The times it is, are not worth getting all bent out of shape over. I also realize no one, including myself is a perfect driver.

I had bad road rage tell I raged on a unmarked police car. After a trip to jail and years of litigation (They found the cop to be the initiator and at fault.) I simmered down 100%. I could care less what drivers around me do as long as I can avoid getting in a wreck. I give my teenaged immature driving habits when I was young credit for my defensive driving skill. Thank God I grew up.

@Skynet Very true. Big rigs can weigh up to 40 tons. One don't, or should not drive them like they would a a small vehicle. When I drove them, it took a lot of patience and self control, trying to keep in mind most people don't understand the trucks can't slow and stop near as quick. And need more space for turns. People are in a hurry and don't like having to wait for big trucks. A little patience is needed from everyone out there. So much traffic out there, I'm happy to be retired.

@@ThomCate Well that's a dumb thing to say! The camera isn't some magical protective barrier to keep you safe from the crazies. All it will do is record what happens. And when you call the cops it can take minutes or longer for them to respond. Sometimes there just isn't time to wait for the cops when seconds count. If you find yourself trapped and unable to escape an attacker, you need every self-defense tool you can get. Gun, pepper spray. There's nothing inherently wrong with legally carrying a gun for self-defense. You're very naive. I suggest you watch a channel called *_Active Self Protection_* . You'll learn a lot by watching his videos.

I had that happen to me once. Guy revved up and shoved me with his car while I was in a crosswalk (I had the white light), then honked and yelled at me while I was picking myself off the street. I shattered his driver side window as he tried to speed off, courtesy of my grandpa's old brass knuckles, never left home without em.

Most of these have nothing to do with it being a Tesla. These are standard road rage incidents that occur everyday. I try to not reciprocate. I've had people almost accidently run into me on my motorcycle and then they got mad at me for just being in there. And the police are not going to help you until its usually to late.

You are right, the Tesla driver was butthurting. It's obvious the Chrysler guy just realized he wanted to make the right turn, he safely pulled in front of the Tesla... there was no cutting off, there was plenty of space for the Tesla and if the idiot in the Tesla would have just let him through, the Chrysler would have gone to the right lane and made his turn. Instead, the guy in the Chrysler almost got into an accident because the Tesla driver was an idiot here. The guy in the Chrysler just wanted to point out that the Tesla driver was a dick. To prove this, just watch the rest of the video, the Tesla driver is messing with him... not a smart thing to do. You would expect an owner of a Tesla to be smarter than that! Perhaps that guy just traded in his Honda for a Tesla and hasn't adapted yet?

@@catinthehat5140 You never know these days. The 300 driver was being extremely aggressive though. My experience is to try to safely put a driver like that in the dust but that can be so dangerous to other vehicles if you're not on a highway. I had a situation over a year ago where a driver of a minivan tailgated me on my way to work at 4:30 in the morning. They followed me into the parking lot and I pulled into the loading dock area where it was lit and at least three cameras for store security. The driver took off when I got out of my car. My advice to people is to pull into the nearest store parking lot, fire station or police station, definitely where there are people as witnesses. This Tesla has plenty of cameras which I think is the best feature offered on their vehicles.

@@catinthehat5140 The Tesla driver did know the capability of their car. Every car I've owned I find an empty parking lot and get to know it, accelerating, braking, turn radius, sharp turns.
Definitely after a snow storm to see how the car slides and stuff. After that I give the car it's official name. Gotta name the car.
Not a Tesla owner and could care less what other people drive, but I love these videos anyway. Only thing is, at points they sound like advertisements.
If u come across a road rage person just ignore them or if they try to follow u call the police , it's not worth going to jail or possibly losing your life over ,it's some crazy in dangerous people out there that don't think twice about there actions
Know and be prepared to drive into a police station when these nutters are chasing you. Bet they will not follow.
