Teslacam Stories is a series of Tesla owners' real experiences told by the Tesla Dashcam and Sentry Mode videos. All incidents are recorded from Tesla vehicles and submitted to this channel by other Tesla enthusiasts. I contact each person who sends me their videos to talk with them and learn more about their story and to follow up on what happened after what we see on their video. Voice-over and captions are added to describe what happened, and why. I believe that this additional information regarding the incident gives the videos a newsworthy value.
From the footage and additional information, a viewer can learn the consequences of bad driving and can educate his/her self with better driving safety. This process also gives the videos a great educational value. It is my desire to add my own unique and creative value in a transformative way to ensure you enjoy and learn from the videos being presented.

No way tolls or dash cams get the information to hold them accountable for anything they do on the road. It shocks me police do nothing, even in cases where people are more egregiously intentionally blocking their plate from view. Cops see so much as an ‘f u’ to them or disrespect then react harshly…. but not the people already one step into getting away with a crime. what if they chased them and couldn’t ID before they’re gone? Lol I think about this too much because I watch these types of videos all the time and see what people get away with.

Well, to give a few examples:
-Because they're dumping commercial vehicles in your residential lot so residents can't park, and the municipality has refused to enforce
-Because they've fully blocked your driveway by parking in front of their own garden in the street, leaving you a 30 cm width gap
-Because they doorslammed your paintwork while parking and foreign plate means zero chance of getting your damages recovered
-Because 10 minutes ago they deliberately steered into a deep bit of water on the road and completely drenched you while you were cycling on a separate cycling lane, making your € 370 phone shortcircuit. I had that done to me and to be honest, I just broke all the windows and mirrors out before putting a deep scratch over all the panelwork, teach them what anti-social behaviour causes.
-Because they're sporting a Russian flag and a Z under the window. Quite funny to watch and I assured the Ukrainian refugees staying there that they should keep going, nobody would report it and I'd join in if they hadn't done that much damage already.
-Because it's your commercial parking and they threatened to 'knock your teeth out' before wandering off, strange how often accidents happen to bellends
-Because it's a drugdealer speeding a 60+ through a pedestrian zone where vehicles are banned, whose response to being asked not to drive there was anti-semitic swearing
-Because they're in the gateway of your office but your winch doesn't have a towing hook, you don't know where to hook it and the towing company is more than an hour out, so the winch plan is 'if it sticks, it goes'
You can probably guess I've seen a couple vehicles get damaged as a result of their owners acting like complete knobs. 😆

He freaked out and called the cops to report it stolen. While standing outside in disbelief he looked down the street and saw the truck resting against a power pole. Based on the tracks, everyone agreed it had broken loose from the ice on the driveway and slid down the street on its own.

Number #17 Max in Utah. You can clearly see that he has summer tires, not winter tires. At temperatures below 7 degrees Celsius (45 degrees American units), the rubber compound becomes hard and loses grip. In addition no rear wheel or all wheel drive car has parking brakes on the front wheels, this is not unique to Teslas. If the car had proper winter tires, this accident likely would not have occurred.

i changed from winter to summer tyres with high water rating and at -8c the summer tires performed 10x better and roads looked like glass before had the tires changed and straight after a huge difference. not all winter tires are the same, and winter were good for about 2k miles after that went down hill fast and could legally used them for another 8k miles as loads tread but hydroplaned following the flow traffic on country road only at 50 mph every one else fine buy i knew very little turn wheel till i regain grip so wheels point correct way when get grip again, i got rid almost new tires because they so bad what came with car. and if mild and damp was like driving on oil and with no abs, esp,tc even tho fwd small city car it was handful at times

That's why I went for this solution, if someone hits it, the stone is backed by a couple cubic meters of earth.
The math I did at the time suggested that's roughly 12000-14000 kilograms of weight and easily enough to stop even a heavy SUV at 80 kp/h, which they'll never manage in the street here.

“Most cars” lock whatever wheels are connected to the transmission as primary drivers. If you have a front wheel drive car, the front wheels lock. Traditional 4WD, if engaged when parked, will lock all four. I have an automatic all wheel drive system on my VW SUV - I know the front wheels lock when parked, but since the rear wheels are only driven as needed through a haldex clutch system, I honestly don’t know if the back wheel free wheel when parked. I am guessing they do. But - the parking brake on “most cars” is on the rear wheels. I have know idea what happens to an AWD Tesla.

4:39 - Tesla's don't actually have a "Park" like an ICE car. When selecting Park on the gear selector, it's only engaging the parking brake. There's no natural resistance like with a manual ICE car that's in gear (tho you should still use the parking brake), or a traditional automatic ICE car with a parking pawl. This is also why if you push and hold "Park" while driving your Tesla (at least in the 3/Y), it'll say "emergency brake activated"
