It's OK to lie to the cops about who is at fault? Naah, first let them fill out the first out the full insurance claim and sign it. That is a legal statement. Knowingly making a false legal statement with the intent of monetary gain, is fraud. Which isn't an infraction resulting in a ticket, but a criminal offense. If people insist on digging a hole for themselves, respect their desire and only spring the dashcam footage on them later.

Idk why Bmw drivers doesn’t use turn signals. I had a bmw before I got an Infiniti. And the Bmw blinkers are some of the best. If you just want to change lane you barely touch the blinker and it will blink 3-5 seconds before going off by itself. If you want to turn it on to turn you push it fully up or down. But the blinker switch has 2 settings. One for lane changes and normal every day blinker. I loved it. When I wanted to change lanes barely tap it and it done all the work and even went off by itself.

That is not a universal rule. In some places (like Michigan where clip #10 happened) you can be cited if you had enough time to stop safely after the light turned yellow, regardless of if the light was red when you entered the intersection

@@daewooparts The Cruze turning in front of the Tesla is irrelevant to whether the Tesla should have been cited for not stopping when it was safe to do so. Both drivers were correctly cited.
When you don't stop before a yellow light when able, typically in most law systems that legally counts as red light jumping. (much like Tjamzt explained) Amy accelerated instead of even trying to stop and seemingly deliberately crashed into other traffic. RLJ ticket is a mercy: Amy could've been written up for reckless driving, deliberate crash, vehicular assault and some other more nasty potential charges. I'd feel comfy defending it was an intentional crash in court.
What I’ve learned, don’t get into an accident with a Tesla; you’ll either get a new car because it’s totaled, or you’ll be in debt the rest of your life
While Amy didn't run a red light, she definitely could have stopped before the intersection especially with Teslas having god like traction control and ABS systems from the videos I've seen.
At 28:00 I had nailed the first one as I said $40,000 and the second I guessed at $20,000. But I am curious; I thought Euros were about a buck and a quarter ($1.25). I think I may have done an Uber or Lyft ride with the lady in the Scion. I remember a similar car wirh the driver holding the phone in her hand at all times. When I asked her, why she didn’t have a phone mount, she claimed they don’t exist for this model Scion. She took a wrong freeway exit and generally drove in a pretty chaotic way. I gave her a one star rating, which I have NEVER done with any other driver. What a disaster!
Only time I ever had a taxi driver like that I just told him to stop the car right now and I'll get another, hopefully one that does hold a valid driving license. Within the timespan of 2 minutes he illegally used his phone, illegally overtook, ran a red light light and nearly wiped out a pedestrian on a zebra crossing. ....Bit of an argument actually as the taxi driver somehow expected to be paid despite his antics.
#18 makes me think that the red light runner is someone’s kid that is high up and has power that’s why they said they weren’t at fault even though they ran a red light
Not even with hard braking, but ANY braking would've avoided that. Nenita is partially to blame. She was not in command of the vehicle, just sleeping behind the wheel using Autopilot. Damages should've go 50/50
1:34 dunno how this person in the scion can still drive uber and lyft given they require you to have insurance and if it lapses they know automatically
I’m glad that I haven’t been involved in an accident when I drive, I’ve been in one in the past but only as a passenger, it was a three vehicle accident, the person who hit us was drunk, his car was completely wrecked, my aunts car only lost the bumper cover, the bumper itself was ok and the frost was ok also with the front car
Amy is at fault. Yellow means you need to slow down and stop unless you're unable to do so. Unable to do so means you're extremely close to the white line. She was so far away. She could've slowed down and stopped without any issues.
15:50 I don't see how the Tesla driver could be cited for running a red light. For starters, it was clearly past the intersection threshold when the light turned red, and even if it was close, you can easily argue that the only reason you missed the yellow was because you started slowing down to avoid the first car that cut you off. I truly hope they contest that split of responsibility.
How is it possible to drive for Uber or Lyft with no insurance? People who do not have insurance and cause an accident need to be held liable, sort of like a restitution payment the courts hand out. That way when their paychecks start getting deducted, they will learn to get insurance.
@@casperhansen826 Just because they have no money doesn't excuse them from being held responsible, hence the restitution would still stand. If you want to drive, follow the rules.
I don’t get how people could drive around without insurance. It’s not even that expensive. My wife (38) and I (41) have 4 cars. My daily is a 2019 Veloster N, my wife’s daily is a 2021 Elantra N (both with full coverage), then we also have a 2016 Smartcar fortwo (full coverage) and a 2007 Elantra (Liability). With all the cars we’re only paying $216/month and that’s with rental and road side assistance.
I see your point, but have you ever tried to get insurance as a 18-25 year old man when you face the full brunt of the gender and age based discrimination against you? Drove on my mother's policy for several years because it was just impossible to afford. Even 15 years (of inflation) and several accidents later my premiums are still lower than they would've been when I was 18. Gender-based discrimination was outlawed a couple years ago and that cut the discrimination-fee a bit. But I just checked: Even today the premiums are more than double due to age-based discrimination: 18 year old: a whopping € 85 a month minimum 30 year old: 34 a month 42 year old: 35 a month 50 year old: 36 a month 83 year old: 36 a month despite statistically being an extreme hazard on the roads
Agreed especially changing lanes pretty much under the light is not legal. If he had been driving slower or at least paying attention that accident wouldn't have happened.
It's going to get to the point where your Tesla will be totaled by a rain storm, or $25k in damaged because some leaves fell on it. I got rear rearended in my 2016 Ram 3500. The camry was doing 45mph, I was at a stand still. My damages were $400 for a new hitch.
#22 Good to see that Tesla driver's habit of sleeping behind the wheel with Autopilot on hasn't changed. I'm sure the other driver will be happy that their small and easily fixeable mistake still ended with huge damages as a result of Nenita not acting at all due to being asleep.
@@jq7684 She has 2.5-3 seconds to respond, but she doesn't respond at all. Meaning she wasn't paying attention to the road at all. (or drunk, drugged up, sleeping)
After watching several of these videos what I am seeing is a lot of people,Tesla and others, not driving defensively at all. 99% I know everything going on around me while half watching RUclips and driving quicker than the pace of traffic. Slow driving and people being to relaxed seems to be causing a ton of accidents. In general when people are merging on the highway accelerate past them and never spend any time in someone’s blind spot.
That's a big problem. Airbags are not meant to blow before an accident. That's a safety problem. And to the person saying that the brake was depressed, it should be depressed you were stopped. Are you sitting at stop lights and such with your foot off the brake?
I would personally like to see a little more resolution in each story at the end especially with the ones where the driver that caused the accident tries to blame the person in the Tesla and then gets proven Wrong by the Tesla footage ignorant people like that have the best reactions when they're faced with evidence directly in front of them

Or to come to a hard stop.

People trying to lie about the other driver causing the crash should immediately get a fine.
It's OK to lie to the cops about who is at fault? I'm looking forward to when there is a decent multi-cam system you can put on regular automobiles (I can't afford $50,00000000 for a Tesla, no matter how much I may like it, and I couldn't afford the insurance, for when a rock chip cost $44,000000 to repair the paint).
@@fredpuntdroad8701exactly! Don't say you have cameras till after they lie and dig their hole. They get in trouble and sometimes cops write tickets for it. I told my daughter this. I'm going to give her my Chrysler when i get me an suv and she's getting cameras. I swear the newer the car the more people try to hit it intentionally
I love this channel who agrees

9:56, i was actually there when i was driving by. The truck driver was speeding, and i immediately thought that the truck is going to run into the tesla. I was going to stop and help, but some 5 people stopped to help her. That’s the good thing about Spokane. Most people would stop to help.
I bet the car in front of the tesla is your vehicle
How is it that Uber and other driving services allow their drivers to even be uninsured? That makes no sense!
First thing I thought of! I understand that a lot of people drive uninsured in US, but I would assume to be an Uber/Lyft driver, you would need to prove you are insured. This makes no sense.
Tip for anyone who gets in a accident don’t tense up or at least try not to if your body can flow and move with ease it will reduce the chances of injury
Brian had a bill of ~$40k

And Steven and Mina had a grand total of ~$13k

Those people who yelled "You can't park your car there" at the accident site, the fact that they think its funny or their humor kicked in is the world we are living in. It's a shame.
Dude, no freakin way!! Clip #1 is in Temecula, Ca and I was actually there when I saw this crash happen. I’ll never thought I see it on Wham Baam Dashcam 😮

#10 @15:00 actually the officer was wrong for writing running a red light 🚥 it was technically yellow when she was in the intersection.....she should have disputed the summons
To be fair, if Amy didn't think she would be able to stop, she probably deserved that citation.
That is not a universal rule. In some places (like Michigan where clip #10 happened) you can be cited if you had enough time to stop safely after the light turned yellow, regardless of if the light was red when you entered the intersection
@@ttjamzt ,a unprotected left turn must yield to the right of way forward moving vehicles unless it has a exclusive left turn arrow or a delayed green in the opposite direction given turning vehicles a chance .....the Cruze gunned it while following another vehicle & risked it & lost ,any good traffic lawyer or even the video evidence will get the citation dismissed & tossed ,same goes with the insurance liability, it was a unprotected left hand turn ,unless the other vehicle can prove it had a left hand turn arrow signal
(much like Tjamzt explained)
Amy accelerated instead of even trying to stop and seemingly deliberately crashed into other traffic.
In the crash clip at 15:00 minutes, the car that the Chevy Cruze was following was a Chevy Equinox.
At 28:00 I had nailed the first one as I said $40,000 and the second I guessed at $20,000. But I am curious; I thought Euros were about a buck and a quarter ($1.25). You had #2's initial estimate at EUR 25,000, which isn't "a little less than $25,000," it's more like $31,000. Come on Wham Bam Teslacam, the Euro is not the Canadian Dollar!
The euro took a big hit with the Ukraine war and energy instability messing with Germany's economy.
25k repair cost due to side swipe while I bought my 2006 Accord for 5k.. Repair cost is crazy now
I think I may have done an Uber or Lyft ride with the lady in the Scion.
11:27 there’s that damn spring I’ve been looking for 🥺
14:59 that was enough time to stop safely.
Why not... she was far enough away and that yellow lasted about 4 seconds before she ran the RED light.
Said that the road was icy.
@@danielulz1640 doesn't look icy... looks wet. But still, bad driving in either case.
#18 makes me think that the red light runner is someone’s kid that is high up and has power that’s why they said they weren’t at fault even though they ran a red light
I feel like if number 22 was a little more aware of her situation and pre brake hard af it could’ve possibly been avoided
Not even with hard braking, but ANY braking would've avoided that. Nenita is partially to blame. She was not in command of the vehicle, just sleeping behind the wheel using Autopilot. Damages should've go 50/50
Y did he say $4,400 USA dollars but $44,000 popped up on screen lmao
Was the damage for #6 $4,400 or $44,000. It says both at 21:07.

Love the channel so much
1:34 dunno how this person in the scion can still drive uber and lyft given they require you to have insurance and if it lapses they know automatically
17:33 was waiting for a long fart noise when that truck rolled coal on them

Amy is at fault. Yellow means you need to slow down and stop unless you're unable to do so. Unable to do so means you're extremely close to the white line. She was so far away. She could've slowed down and stopped without any issues.
14:59, wasn't sure if she would make it???
There was so much distance and time....

Jordan in Washington, illegally changed lanes in the intersection, if that was FSD, it broke the law!
Jordan also had the kids in the car with FSD, irresponsible.
That what I thought Jordan should've changed lanes 50 feet early.
Why do you think people without insurance has any money/income?
@@casperhansen826 why do you think people without insurance are able to afford a car with no job/income? Makes no sense.
@@casperhansen826 Just because they have no money doesn't excuse them from being held responsible, hence the restitution would still stand. If you want to drive, follow the rules.
No people that drive with no insurance should go to jail!
@@HammerOne I don't know if I would go that far considering there is already overcrowding jails, however making them pay does hurt them.
No surprise, there seems to be a very high correlation of uninsured and unlicensed drivers causing accidents.
Many of the people who don't have insurance tend to be the same ones who don't have licenses.
Broke and irresponsible
Overpopulation
Yeah I still have insurance but many people aren't as rich as you with 4 cars.
But I just checked: Even today the premiums are more than double due to age-based discrimination:
18 year old: a whopping € 85 a month minimum
30 year old: 34 a month
42 year old: 35 a month
50 year old: 36 a month
83 year old: 36 a month despite statistically being an extreme hazard on the roads
The repairs on Tesla is astronomical! That's crazy!
8:26 Come on, Vadim was going a little bit too fast it looks like. I feel like he should have received a ticket.

I'd much rather my car be totaled when hit. 99% of body shops suck, i don't want a crashed car back, just write me the check.
That last one was crazy 😨
#22 Good to see that Tesla driver's habit of sleeping behind the wheel with Autopilot on hasn't changed.
I'm sure the other driver will be happy that their small and easily fixeable mistake still ended with huge damages as a result of Nenita not acting at all due to being asleep.

She has 2.5-3 seconds to respond, but she doesn't respond at all. Meaning she wasn't paying attention to the road at all. (or drunk, drugged up, sleeping)
Does anyone know the music for the number 22? i've been searching for a while but cant find it anywhere
I'm using my dad's phone to write this. But I love Wham baam Teslacam
That's a big problem. Airbags are not meant to blow before an accident. That's a safety problem. And to the person saying that the brake was depressed, it should be depressed you were stopped. Are you sitting at stop lights and such with your foot off the brake?
just heard about ur channe lalready subbed
That’s first clip is in the city where I used to live! That’s awesome! I always love trying to guess places when you say it happened in California. =)
You know watching WhamBaam, I am surprised any Tesla's are still on the road as many accidents that occur!
I would personally like to see a little more resolution in each story at the end especially with the ones where the driver that caused the accident tries to blame the person in the Tesla and then gets proven Wrong by the Tesla footage ignorant people like that have the best reactions when they're faced with evidence directly in front of them
