1st Nishitani, Looking down from heaven : “What’s happens to someone who carrying my name now dawg💀 I’m so glad Majima-kun and his boys attending Yakuza disband now”
Banger as always, I'm happy with how gaiden was but imagine how much better it'd be if they had an entire year to work on it, goes to show how talented RGG is
They used a lot of assets from the previous games so talent has nothing to do with it. Though I do agree they are one of the best developers in my opinion.
@@dragonkamranIf it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? Especially since RGG tends to make new assets for every one they reuse. Just look at Infinite Wealth and having an all-new map in Hawaii.
After playing Infinite Wealth, I wish they made Gaiden into a fully-fleshed out mainline game to properly finish Kiryu's story, rather than shoe-horning a mess of a story into a dual-protagonist game like IW with a blue-balled ending. Gaiden was about 20% of the length of IW, but man its story, characters and refinement are 10x better than IW. It really feels like RGG shot themselves in the foot by releasing a mini-masterpiece like Gaiden just before IW which turned out to be a mid-game by Yakuza standards.
Lol what? Reusing assets means there's no talent involved? So if you use assets from a Yakuza game you can just easily make something like gaiden with zero talent in six months? @@dragonkamran
The original Nishitani was a bit of a lunatic, sure, but that was largely tempered by his more playful side. Like when Majima refuses to fight him initially and he's more surprised than anything else. But this Nishitani leans far more into his unhinged, lunatic streak. He commands the biggest clan in the Omi - who are feared as a band of assassins and killers - and has a habit of pulling out fingernails and cutting off noses, and seems to enjoy the prospect of going up against a suitable opponent just a little too much. He was an appropriate opponent for Kiryu at least: tough enough to go a few rounds and enough of a bastard to justify wanting to cave that face in again and again. And the whole Jingweon Mafia connection is just more appropiate as well for him wanting to go up against Kiryu. He's got a banging soundtrack too, really gets you into going up against this knife-wielding dervish.
And the original nishitani had a good side to him he loved those who loved him. This mf is different there's no saving him he's too far gone and he loves it
The best part about Gaiden is how they low-key gave us back Kiryu's grunt outfit from Y0 (his black and white onr at the start of the game). Easily one of my favorite outfits for him. Nishiki is 100% right in black and white for Kiryu, shit is just 🥶🥶🥶
When i played Gaiden and hear "Nishitani", i tough "Hmm... I've heard that name, someone important, but who..." Then Nishitani grab his balls and i went "OOOH, THAT GUY".
if you're talking about the dynamic intro... that's qte, he just doesn't have an intro in-game, so they made him one for the video, so switching places seems reasonable
@shingkung3974 the original nishitani didn't have a grandson. Or probably a son either. At this point, his name became a title given to those who are genuinely insane
