Gem of a course that doesn't get the recognition it deserves. A fair test, beautifully maintained.
I am hoping to do a lot more videos at St Austell and give them a lot more coverage on social media x
Very interesting looking track. A good mix of holes.
It’s a great course my friend, a James Braid course that was then added to over time I believe
brilliant looking course good golf well don lads see you wednesday
Part two out on Thursday my friend x
Well played guys, st Austell a very nice and friendly course. Alfie enjoys playing their junior open
It’s a lovely place to play Steve. Everyone has always been so friendly and supportive of the channel there too.
Bogey golf gets you points👍 ..... well played so far, looking forward to part 2
Hi there Andrew. I think that’s my plan for the future, keep playing bogey golf and see my handicap fall.
Nice vlog John. Good to see you shaking the rust off. You both played some good golf on a tough course in windy conditions. Looking forward to seeing part two.
Stay safe and thanks
Hi David, you are right, it’s a tough course especially when I think we have only played it once in a year. The greens especially were very tricky to read. And yes although the editing software I use manages to deal with a fair about of wind noise, it really was a gusting swirling day.
Enjoyed this lads. I played here 13 years ago when we stayed in Mevagissey. As I mentioned before, the approach to the 18th sticks in my mind with that clubhouse window in range on the left !
Well played both of you
I can guarantee that neither of us get close to the left this time around (spoilers ha ha )
Thanks Keith, it's a great course. Sometimes overlooked.
Great playing guys. You for sure needed to take the wind into account. Well done. Cool. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Thank you my friend. It’s always tough playing in strong winds but always fun too.
Well played both of you. I finally think your games are coming together x
Thank you darling x we are doing our best x
Another fabulous day and stunning course, love where we live 😁😁👍
Ah we live in paradise my friend x
This looks like a great course lads. And really well played. Can’t wait to see part two now. A big score maybe possible Oggie.
It’s a fabulous course, one of my favourites in Cornwall. You will have to watch part two to see how things go x
He is playing well Kenneth isn't he
Some really nice shots in tough conditions out there! Really enjoyable watch as always. Great thing is golf is really tough no matter what standard you play. You always keep it real
I think as a high handicapper I am quite realistic when it comes to my game so yes I can blob a hole but if I keep my mind clear then I can make a comeback x and that’s what I did… did I tell you about my birdie on the par 5 lol
Thanks Simon 👍
Great stuff, gents!
Thank you my friend x
It does take a while for a new swing to settle down John. It always feels a bit alien to start with. Nice vlog. Looking forward to part 2 👏👏
Good morning Barrie. I think it’s a test of my nerves more than anything else. I want to trust it and just go for it but my brain still says no… but it’s improving lol
😊
Well played nice volg. if my maths are right you played that 9 well under your handicap pal.
It’s going to be a good round my friend. Watch part two on Thursday x
Also, you are becoming a very good putter with the Seemore Oggie, very solid! Neal's long game really impressive, looking forward to part 2
I promise that Part two is well worth waiting for. Lots more improvements on the way x
Lessons beginning to show results BigO 👏
I think so my friend. Just need to get out and play more and trust what I am being told to do now.
John very nice birdie on that par 5, the 6th i think it was. Never played this course before but it's definitely on my wish list now for this summer. ⛳
One of my favourite places to play golf. Not just because of the course but the people there are great too.
John I'm working on what you and Dan are working on. When I'm on the course my only swing thought with driver is get to a full finish and you'll be surprised how much it buttons up the rest of the swing.
I will certainly try that my friend. In fact I filmed something yesterday which I am editing today and I hope it shows more improvement as I grow in confidence and trust.
Another fun day on a great course. See you tomorrow.
Thank you for your continued support my friend
hi john its dave north west really enjoyed your latest vidio well played nice to see you improveing all the time take care all the best to u and your family and 😎
Aww thank you so much Dave, I hope that moving forward continues x
thursday time fliing
Thursday 6pm will be a good watch I promise x
Was this with your new clubs Neil, nothing wrong with your driving mate, good viewing guys looking forward to p2.
Hi Colin, this was filmed a few days before we went to the fitting. Neal’s new clubs should arrive in about a week I believe x
Hi Colin, this was a few days before out trip to Orka. Just awaiting to hear news of them being ready. Can't wait!!!!!
Excellent score John. Unfortunately I dont think Dan would be impressed with your weight transfer though - which he was teaching you during your driver lesson. Look at Neals right foot at the finish for comparison. It probably reflects your bad back playing you up?
Hi David, as always thank you for your comments. Whilst I fully agree with you after watching the video in editing. I did realise that when Neal and I discussed the round after. I think it’s more a case of trusting things in my head now. Remember that this was the very next day after the lesson and the first time out on a course. Things have improved dramatically from what I did previously and I was really happy by the way things went in the end from a scoring point of view and a better more consistent set of holes. Watch part two on Thursday. I am sure that over time I will relax more and more and allow things to simply go with the flow.
@@BIGOGGIEGOLF I look forward to watching it John. Your putting handicap is very low indeed. So when your long game improves a bit more you will be a force to be reckoned with!!
Well done gents, a very enjoyable front 9 to watch. Looking forward to the back 9 now. 👍🏻👏🏻🏌🏽🏌🏼♀️🏌️⛳️
Thank you x St Austell is one of my favourite courses.
